We just got our dates. September 20th - 26th at give kids the world. And then we are extending the trip (at our expense) till the 29th becuase Nicky really wants to stay at the Nickelodeon hotel over by Universal. We have 12 friends and family meeting us down there. I just made some dinner reservations yesterday!
Now I just need to figure out how to post some pictures on our pre-trip report. I'm computer challenged

MAW arranged to have a local church surprise us yesterday by totally decking out our lawn in Easter stuff! There must have been hundreds of plastic eggs filled with candy and a banner across our porch with a big Easter basket. They must have did it real early in the morning. We were kind of bummed out becuase this was the first year we were not with our extended family for Easter, so that really made our day

Hi Jen,

I just joined the board a couple weeks ago, and we are going on a MAW trip to Disney on May 17th. We are having so much fun making ADR's and planning for this big adventure!

Hurray for Nicky getting a wish, and yay for remission!

Looking forward to hearing more and seeing some pictures!

Subscribing!! Glad to hear you have dates!! That is exciting!!
We are hopefully making Kaylin's 'wish' dates final in the next week or so.
We are planning October, the halloween party and extending the trip at our cost as well, I cant wait to follow along!!

How exciting that you have your dates!! That is so awesome of your church to do that for you on Easter!

Here's a tutorial for posting pictures that I'll copy and paste from the Disboutique thread:

Method 1
1. Upload the pic of your choice to photobucket
2. Resize the pic in photobucket click on the thumbnail of the picture, it will open up, then click (above the pic)> resize > 15" screen- it will make you verify that you would like to resize the pic (I like the 800X600 size pictures instead of the message board setting, it shows lots more detail)
3. After the pic has resized, go to your album, below the pic that you would like to post, there are 4 different codes (email & IM, direct link, html code & IMG code) Click in the box that has the has the IMG code. It will look something like this http: xxxxxxxxxxxxx
When you click on that box, it will light up in yellow, and say "Copied"
4. In the thread on the Dis (in another open window), click on "post reply". When you are ready to post the pic, right click - a box will open, click on paste. This will paste the link that you copied from your photobucket account.
5. Post reply. The pic should show up!


Method 2
You can also post pictures directly from Facebook and most any other website you have your pictures posted too already:

Right click on you picture,
If you are using Firefox: click, on the option that says "copy picture location"
If you are using Internet Explorer click: Properties, then copy the image location information
Then, for either one, paste that into the little picture linkie thing up there at the top of your reply box (here on the Disboards).

Nicky's counts are low. Going to the hospital tomorrow for transfusions. The doctor said that is pretty normal and nothing to worry about.
Went to the Disney store and bought Nicky the whole Buzz Lightyear swimsuit get up. The trunks, top, hat, sunglasses, and beach towel. Shopping for the trip is 1/2 the fun!

Hello! Just wanted to stop in to say I am really enjoying reading your PTR! My son Chase is getting a DW wish also through MAW! We don't have our dates yet but hopefully we will soon!

I will keep Nicky in my prayers tonight! I look forward to reading more from you guys!

Just made ADR for character breakfast at Nickelodeon Suites Hotel
I left a message w/a manager to see if there is anything special they can do for Nicky - even though we will be staying there after we check out of GKTW, so technically MAW won't be involved, but it does not hurt to explain the situation and ask. I don't know how customer service oriented they are (compared to Disney) We shall see.

Just stopping by your PTR to say hi! Best of luck with Nick Hotel. I found the first service agent I talked to (of course a low level worker, first line of defense lol) said there was nothing they could do unless our wish organization set it up. I am perfectly willing to ask our MAW to handle it but thought I would try one more approach first and emailed the sales department. I pretty quickly got a response from the VP of Sales offering a private meet-n-greet with Blue for our family and reservations for the character breakfast! The entertainment director that has worked with me has been great! Our meeting with Blue is pretty early in the morning but its worth it since that was part of Tyler's Wish.

Let us know what they say! I'm a firm believer in asking for the moon. People usually jump at the chance to be involved in making these kids happy, and the worst they can say is NO. At which point I just ask someone else, and besides, we're going to have FUN no matter what... You just never know what will happen when you share your story and ask though...

We have not heard back from Nick Hotel My husband left 2 messages. I will try the sales manager. MAW did mention that they were gonna try and get a meet and greet w/Sponge Bob becuase they know he's Nicky's breakfast, and I have already made character breakfast reservations.
