Nicky's Wish trip 9-20-10

The kids received their packages yesterday from Disboutiquers
They were soooooo excited. Especially Nicky. He was so proud. He kept saying "look at all my presents"

I am going to attempt to post some pictures. I say attempt, becuase my computer skills are not so good, and sometimes I can figure it out, and sometimes I can't

Oh wow you guys are so close! I have missed so much but I'm getting caught up now. I love all of the great things the BIG GIVERS have sent. They are so awsome!! Your kids are so sweet. I love seeing all of these smiles! I am praying Nicky stays well for his trip.

Thats awesome that you are taking the grandparents
We have aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and even great grandparents meeting us down there. My grandpa is 75 and has never been there.

We just got back from our trip last night. It could not have been any better The weather was great. It only rained 1 day out of 10. Nobody got sick or hurt, so no trips to the doctor were needed
Today will pretty much be an unpacking and laundry day for me
I will start on my trip report in the next day or two. I need to get all my pictures on the computer

WELCOME HOME!!

Day 1 – I woke up at 3:30 and got the kids dressed and last minute stuff packed. The limo arrived a little after 4:00. Everything went smoothly at the airport and the flight. We wore our MAW shirts to the airport, and I did notice some people looking at us and whispering, like they new we had a sick child, and it made me a little uncomfortable.
When we got to the Orlando airport, we had a nice man from GKTW meet us and help us with our luggage and getting our rental van. They also had booster seats ready for us. We got to GKTW with no problem (brought our GPS). We had gone to Disney before in the winter and spring, but this was our first time going in September. The parks close earlier, but it’s less crowded, and the weather is better. Our villa was directly across from the entrance to Matthews Boundless Playground. We settled in and then went swimming. Then we decided to go to Downtown Disney and to Planet Hollywood for dinner. While there, we started a conversation with the family sitting at the table next to us. The first of several people who noticed our shirts or buttons and asked us about MAW and GKTW. After dinner, we walked around Downtown Disney for a while. Alyssa and I wanted to go up in the hot air balloon, but it was closed due to high winds. We went to the Lego store. Nicky loves Leggos, so he played with them for about a half hour. By then it was about 9pm and we were all exhausted, so we called it a night. We did not really take any pictures the first day. I think we were just overwhelmed and not thinking about that, but there are plenty of pictures to come

Day 2, Meeting family and friends at Animal Kingdom

sounds like a successful first day. I was at GKTW today as well. I had volunteer orientation.

I plan on being in Animal Kingdom tomorrow as well at least for a little bit. So, I might just run into you. Can't wait to hear about more of your trip!
