Nicki & Todd are at it again, F&W style, snacking & drinking oh my! LIVE Tonight!!

OMG - the price really went up!! The last time we were in Disney the Rosa was $19.99 - the same price in our liquor store!! (and one glass is $10 - dh figured to buy the whole bottle for the price of 2 GLASSES!! *duh no wonder Disney raised the price! :sad2: - Maybe it was just mismarked on the bottle we bought? :confused3)

The first time we found it there several years ago they had two different sizes the smaller one was $19.99 and the regular size was around $25. Don't know if they still have two sizes or not. It's funny there is such a discussion about Rosa Regale b/c it's my family's favorite (no kids here) We introduced our adult niece to it a couple of years ago she just got married Sep 26 and my DH offered to supply the full/open bar for the wedding :scared1: Of course she wanted Rosa Regale for her toast ! Yes we served Rosa Regale to 120 people :scared1::scared1: then snuck off to F&W by ourselves this past weekend!
Sorry to railroad you TR Nikki

Nicki Loving all of the great reviews!! I have heard that the meals Sc Fi were not so good...glad to hear otherwise...another TS option to think about at DHS...:)

Going to have to try writers stop this weekend. i have been seeing a lot of yummy pictures from there. eating at sci fi on sunday. now , i can't wait. definitely getting a burger though.

Breakfast at Fresh looks so good! Now you have me wondering if we should stay at the Swolphin sometime!

I can't believe Todd managed to get into Sci-Fi during Free Dining! He is full of magic when it comes to reservations, isn't he?

Now that's amazing luck to get into Sci-Fi with no ressie this time of year. I personally had that happen a few years back...it really makes the day seem special to just be able to get far more than you expected. :goodvibes

Still, it seems the spector of cold apps, soups have followed you to another dining plan item. I'll have to be carefull about that.

Thank you for all of your great reviews!! In your personal opinion.. should i book a breakfast at Boma instead of Fresh?? I am soo undecided, but now am leaning towards Boma. What do you think is better??

Just MHO-we have never been to Fresh but LOVE Boma. Enjoy wherever you decide to go.

I knew you'd find yourselves at the Sci-Fi!! :yay: Next time I'm going with the reuben too! We found our burgers too salty and DH said the dip was not good. I didn't try it, I had the BLT soup, but next time I'm getting those onion rings! Wow they look good!

No cinny roll for Todd - wow that's a first!

The first time we found it there several years ago they had two different sizes the smaller one was $19.99 and the regular size was around $25. Don't know if they still have two sizes or not.

This past June, we found MANY different size bottles of Rosa Regale. They were charging $7 per glass. I had one glass then decided I wanted to buy two small (mini) bottles for $9.99 each thinking I'd get one or two servings out of each one, but DH bought the large (regular size) wine bottle for $29.99 instead. I think the small bottle would make a perfect
souvenir.

Not Nicki, but you can see from her past reviews that she's a huge Boma breakfast fan. ::yes::

Sci Fi is the only one I've ever gotten into without an ADR but it was NOT during Free Dinning. I'm amazed at Todd's abitity to get in.

I still have my original bottle (empty of course). If anyone has a Total Wine in their area they carry the regular size for $17.99

We love BOMA too. May have to try Fresh though

Sorry to railroad you TR Nikki

No apologies babe, I love the chit chat!

You beat me to it, I was coming here to ask the same thing.;)

Gotta love em!

:laughing::laughing: more great reviews, thank you

Happy to do it!

Nicki Loving all of the great reviews!! I have heard that the meals Sc Fi were not so good...glad to hear otherwise...another TS option to think about at DHS...:)

We have been there twice and really liked it..super cool place!

I hope you have a great weekend at Disney!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Dolphin...missed the Poly location but still had fun! Can you believe my magic touch hubby? The boy has it going on! ... as far as walk ups are concerned!

We could not believe the amount of walk ups that were available...the entire time we were there we saw people walk up and get seated with no problem...not that I would do that all the time but it is still nice to see. All I can say is if your food is cold or lukewarm you have to send it back and say unacceptable...DDP or FD or whatever that is unacceptable!

Boma is a million times better than Fresh...if we were leaving that morning I would have drove over to Boma but we wanted to stay all day and have the Dolphin hold our luggage so we opted for Fresh...if I was able to get into Cape May I would have cancelled Fresh.

:thumbsup2 I loved the reuben there but the smell of the burgers was just too tempting!

No cinny roll for Todd - wow that's a first!

I still cannot believe it!

Ah you know me soooo well! Boma rocks!

And now my Fall 2009 trip is over and yesterday I cancelled our POFQ room for the end of this month...and all my wonderful dining reservations...hope another Diser was able to scoop them up!

I am in full gear on our short but sweet Dec stay...Dec 14-17 at the GF RPC CL and our plans are this:

Arrive around 5pm on the 14th, have dinner at GFC or the Wave.

Since we are staying CL we will do all breakfasts in the lounge

Dec 15th we will go Epcot for the morning, have an early lunch at Le Cellier and then back to the room to rest and snack in the CL lounge. Having an early dinner at Tony's in MK before the MVMCP and then we have the dessert party that night...cannot wait!

Dec 16th we will go back to Epcot for the day, have lunch at Chefs and then over to HS for the rest of the night..Osborne lights! I do have dinner plans at 50's Prime Time but might cancel that for Brown Derby..is this a long meal?

Dec 17th we will go to MK for the entire day, have a late lunch at Kona and then hit the road to go home.

As much as I want to go to signature restaurants I dont want to waste the time on them this trip since it is so short and we are there for the party, decorations and the lights.

After that I do not have any trips planned although I know we will get back to WDW in 2010! Depends on what the bounceback code is in Dec, if I get an email with 40% again and if my business starts to pick up! :lmao:

We always go in the Spring and of course Oct but we had so much fun in January and March with cool weather and low crowds that we might try and get a long or longer weekend in during that time.

Thanks for reading my reviews you guys, I had a ball with all of you!

Nicki....and her trusty side kick Sir Get Me In (a restaurant that is..Todd!)

I'm sorry you've had to cancel the end of the month trip. :sad2:

Love the ADR's you have planned for December. We didn't care for Brown Derby when we ate there -- the service was horrible and the food blah...not worth it to us.

And I'm so glad you added the () around your "trusty side kick Sir Get Me In"...because you know TigerKat and I would have been at you in a heartbeat!

Thanks for the great job...as always (did you ever read my review of Fulton'?).

Love ya.

Sorry to hear your trip has ended.. but you get to go back soon!!:)
How were the crowds for you? We are going this Friday for 9 nights at ALK:yay:. I have never been to WDW in Oct and am not sure what to expect.

Ok we will scratch Brown Derby...you convinced me! I figured you and TigerKat would have fun with that one...minds trolling the gutters hmmm?

I read your reviews and love that Mark and I are eating buddies...we both loved our salad dressing at Fultons!

Love ya!

It was a short trip but a nice one...except it was so freaky hot, we broke records for FL! The crowds were crazy busy, not fun at all but the lines for the rides were not that bad...take advantage of the FP is all I can say! We arrived Thur night and Fri was not bad at all...Sat at MK was insanity, Sunday am at Epcot was ok but at night forget it, packed to the gills and Monday at HS was mass chaos...people everywhere.

I always go in Oct but usually at the end of the month when it is quieter.

Hope you have a great time and make sure you do a food report :thumbsup2

I can't believe it's over already!!! I guess that's the nature of the beast---when you do a live TR, there is no way to stretch it out and prolong the dining review goodness. :sad1:

Your thoughts on ADRs for December look great. We'll be having dinner at The Wave on the 14th, so maybe we'll bump into eachother!

As far as Hollywood Brown Derby, I did a lot of poking around and research and it seemed like it wasn't one of those incredibly long meals that you sometimes get at a Signature, maybe just over an hour depending on if you get the whole app/entree/dessert/drinks combo. I think because it's in the park, it isn't as slow-paced and relaxed as other resort Signatures.

The general concensus that I got on the Restaurant board and from people who have been there is that their meal was good, but not "worth" 2 TS credits. You don't do the DDP, right? If that's the case, I think the HBD would be a great place for dinner. It's tough in DHS when you're trying to get a good meal AND not take forever. If you had time to burn, obviously you could hop to either Epcot or the Boardwalk area restaurants, but if you are concerned about making the most of your trip I think Sci-Fi or HBD are both good choices.

Obviously, this is all information gathered from my DIS research, as I have not been to the HBD yet, so take it FWIW. ;)

You know me and TigerKat too well. :rotfl2:

Mark drools when he reads your reviews.

I'm still working on my trip report--that is a LONG process.

I gave my boss the info you gave me...and your name. I'll keep you posted.

xoxo

Thanks for the info! I think I won't tell DH about your experience! He might choke me for changing it from Dec, when we usually go.
