Nice AP discounts for the 45th anniversary!

so is it 10% off all Disney owned restaurants and 20% off those on the list?
The 10% only applies to table service restaurants not quick service ones (which are some of the special 20% ones)

Yep, that's how it reads to me in the email I got. 10% off all Disney owned TS restaurants, and 20% off the 45 on the list, which includes TS and QS.

Went to MK and ate at Pecos Bill yesterday and saved $3. Might not be much but it helps especially when you visit a lot

There aren't a large number of TS and QS locations available. BOG and CRT are not included. Most of the places that are included aren't where I planned to go anyway. Ah, well. Such is life. :)
According to the Walt Disney World Passholder website passholders will receive a 10% discount to both CRT & BOG.

exactly, the only table service restaurant not included in the 10% is Victoria and Albert

Interesting. When I looked at the website I didn't see many TS restaurants at all. And I did use the list you had posted for me. But if everything is included, that's really cool.

I think that there's a confusion here
All table services restaurant, except Victoria and Albert, have 10% discount
Aside from that, the 45 restaurants on the list posted, table and quick service, have 20% discount
The difference is that the 10% on TS and 20% on merchandise is here to stay (or until they change it) and the 20% discount from the listed restaurant is only until Sept. 30th 2017

Phew! This is how I read it but I wasn't sure. This works out amazingly well for us since the 2 trips we have planned right now fall just within 13 months. APs didn't make sense at all before this promotion and now with the increased dining and merch discounts they're too hard to pass up!

Has anyone seen any blackout dates? I go over Christmas/New Years and 12/24-12/25 and 12/31-1/1 are ALWAYS blacked out of any discount. I'd change some of my ADRs to one of the ones on the list to save 20% on those normal black out dates.

It doesn't say anything about blackout dates unless your specific pass is blacked out. It says the discounts are during all meal periods. I wonder if my pass is blacked out for Christmas and I go to a resort or DS if I could still get the 20% or 10%? They are not clear on that

I called and was told no blackout dates. That is, IF, your AP doesn't have any. We are going over Thanksgiving week and Thanksgiving Day is always blacked out, but not this year!!

also don't think this will end TIW.

It's only for a year (at least the 20% discounts are)
It doesn't cover alcohol.
AP discounts appear to apply to the AP holder and up to 3 guests (unless they extended that). TIW covers the cardholder and 9 guests.

However, if I hadn't just bought a TIW I might think about putting it off a couple of months.

That's great! Now I need to change my blacked out reservations. It'll cost me about $80 more to get a Platinum AP v/s a Gold one but I think it'll be worth it for the discount.

Renewals cannot be done more than 60 days prior to your anniversary date. For you, that would be somewhere around the end of March. That's after the "purchase by" date for this offer
I actually was contemplating buying a new voucher not a renewal before the purchase by date to get the 13 months if it goes by date of sale instead of date of activation. We will shortly be eligible for the DVC Gold passes which are cheaper than a renewal of our platinum passes

So if there are 5 AP holders and 1 guest who is not an AP holder, will all the meals receive the AP discount? Or is it only the AP holder paying for the meal and up to 3 more meals. Just curious how that will work for our upcoming trip.

I'm sorry if someone already asked this. I don't feel like combing through every response.

My mom and I already "purchased" our annual passes a few weeks back. However, in the mail, we got the little green exchange certificates. Any idea if we will be eligible for the extra month if we redeem our annual passes during December?

Check this post by ravenclawtrekkie over on the TPAS board. It looks like you're good for the 13-month deal as of today. It could change at any time or with the CM that you get.

1 - At least at my park yesterday, we were working under the rule that all certificates activated now are getting 13 months, regardless of when they were purchased. So, people who bought new passes (not renewals) online or on the phone before the promo and activating now are getting the extra month. Whether or not this will change, and whether or not other parks were doing it differently, I have no idea.
FWIW, ravenclaw was at Epcot yesterday.

Now, did you pay with a magic band or did you show an AP card or show them your pass on your phone?
