Nice AP discounts for the 45th anniversary!

Columbia Harbor House has 10% discount.

Really !! I thought if it wasn't on the list there was no discount. This is sounding better and better.

Maybe a thread could be started of who got what discount where. I'll be thrilled to add to that thread in 35 days.

Thanks! Our kids seem to like the food there better than BOG!

I am sorry. I got confused. You are right. Harbour House does not have any discount. All table services except Victoria and Albert, Teppan Edo and another one I can't remember have 10%.
Then the 45 on the list have 20%
I'm running around Orlando trying to find bottle water and got distracted

I am so confused as I have hear conflicting reports and we may not actually know until we get down there but I would LOVE more confirmation on my specific case. We renewed our APs (expiration dates of November 18, 2016) via phone on September 19th. We received renewal certificates in the mail and when linked in MDE they say renewal certificates. We will be there on November 19th. Will we get the 13 month promotion? This is a HUGE deal for us because we go every November. This would allow us to go next year on this same pass. Can anyone confirm PLEASE????

I purchased a 5 day hopper 2 weeks ago to use for my up coming trip in December. If I upgrade the hopper after I've used one day of the ticket in December to an AP(let's say Dec. 7th), will I get the 13 momth promotion for the AP? And will the first day of use for the AP be Dec 7th and therefore, the expiration date be Jan 7th 2018? Or Is the first day use based on the date that I purchased the hopper (Sept 25th) and then the expiration date would Oct 25th 2017? I'm really hoping that it's the first case, since I'm planning on another Dec. trip next year, and this would be great.

Here's a photo of page 7 from the 2016 Passholder Benefits booklet that is given out when you renew or purchase an AP in the parks. As you can see, it specifies that the regular AP discount is good for the Passholder and UP TO THREE (3) GUESTS. I would expect that the 20% discounts would have the same restriction.

Thanks for posting this info! So, I notice that it says "$25 off the non-discounted price of the TIW membership". So, does anyone know if they are actually doing this? We were just saying tonight it'd be nice if you'd get a discount off the price of the TIW memebership with your AP! I'm so excited if this is true, it's a nice little discount! We bought AP's about 2,3 weeks ago in mid Sep and will be activating them Nov 12th. From another thread I see it looks like we will get the 13 months time on our AP's when we activate them. Yay! And now I'm hoping this $25 discount off the price of the $150 TIW membership printed in the above pic from the AP booklet is true!

$150 is the discounted price (not $125) for AP holders. It is $175 for Florida residents and $150 with the DVC/AP discount.

This was asked on another thread awhile back and this was the answer - your AP will be effective from the first day you use your hopper, that you then upgrade. So, it doesn't matter if you upgrade the first time you use the ticket or the last day of your ticket, the AP will start the first day you activated your 5-day hopper. However, be SURE that Guest Services puts the correct date (the day you activated the ticket) in the system, NOT the day the ticket was purchased. Several years ago, I upgraded a UT ticket to an AP and the CM back-dated the AP to the date I bought the ticket. I was able to get it changed after our trip, but it was still a hassle. Hope this helps!

I'm considering purchasing an AP since we'll be there 11-12 days next May. Our favorite resort is POR. Does anyone know what the typical AP resort discount is for POR in May? I won't hold you to it, but I'm trying to decide if the AP is worth it since I'm not positive whether or not we'll be able to return within 13 months. Also, do discounts always exclude Friday and Saturday nights now?

Wow, I really think this is great offer. Essentially an 8% discount on AP. I was on the fence about AP purchase because we live flying distance away, but this (plus some creative Sams Club gift card purchases on Disney Visa) have turned this into 16% discount. Really can't beat that. I'm in!!

can you explain the Sams club gift card purchase to turn it into 16% discount?

I don't know this one exactly but there are some retailers that have sales/discounts on gift cards and you can get disney cards for a discount but they are still the full value. Use that card + the ap discount and you first got the discount of the card then the discount on the item and combined that'll give you a pretty good amount off..

Check out the budget forum here, there is lots of little information on saving money, not only while at disney but to get your home purchases lower to have more money that is for entertainment.

How does this work if two out seven of the diners have an AP? Do you have to split the bill to get the discount for all diners?

When we went in November, I was the only person in our party of six to have an AP, and I always received the discount for all members of my party where it was applicable. I did make sure I was the one who paid, though. I just don't think it's worth the hassle to the CMs to split the check and apply the discount to some and not others for a smaller party. If I had 10 people with my one AP, maybe they would have split it up?

I just wanted to check in and let people know there was NO blackout date for the AP discount at Jiko on Christmas Day. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a discount st another restaurant tomorrow night too.

We are doing a 4-day trip in a few weeks that we planned to use 4-day hoppers, which are linked to Mydisneyexperince. We've set up fastpasses on the account using these tickets. We've decided we want to upgrade the tickets into DVC annual passes. If we do this the day we get there, will that affect our fastpasses in any way? Pretty much all of our table service meals are on the 20% off list so we don't want to wait until the end of our trip to convert the passes. Thanks!

No, your fastpasses won't be affected.
