What demographic are they appealing to with that show? I mean most kids won't recognize Michael Jackson and for the adults that do (who actually care), it has to seem so old and corny I would think.

...'Put it back' meaning say 'screw it' to the million-dollar Frozen ride and M+G plans and bring back Maelstrom, a ride which was completely gutted to make way for the aforementioned?

Well October 1st of this year the name change is supposed to happen. The landing should be mostly completed by the end of this year. The thing that will go well into 2016 is the town center section.
