I understand picking Frontierland, people tend to gravitate more towards Tomorrowland but I wish they would tackle that horrible Stitch ride, I still remember the horrible neck ache I had after that 'ride'.

Also Spacemoutain needs an up grade as its such an ols coaster that it really jerks you around. Expect it would be expensive to rebuilt it but think it would be worth it.

I agree. Space Mountain at MK should get the 2005 Cali update and get a proper roller coaster. The problem is, are they willing to shut Tomorrowland's E-Ticket for over a year?

These ''A ride on top of another'' type of projects never work out. Remember the Indiana Jones coaster/Jungle Cruise or the Grizzly River Run/Gold Rush mine coaster? I think Western River Expedition was one of those. Making the ride individually could work, but at a smaller scale than it was originally intended.

I agree that Tomorrowland needs another E though. I'd personally get rid of Speedway and build something else in there.
I've never heard about the fusion between Grizzly River Run and a Gold Rush mine train. Do you have an article about that somewhere? That sounds interesting!

Your observation that the multiple attraction integration method has largely failed is correct. Which is a shame. It requires significant coordination and takes building it right the first time. I don't think it's because the idea is bad, in fact I think it should save money. You spend millions developing these extensive environments only to be used once by one ride. By using the same environment twice it equals more bang for your buck.

Sadly, we're stuck with the TTA as being the only attraction acting as a bridge. A shame.

They should get rid of Tom Sawyer Island and put an attraction that everyone can enjoy, like the Western Expedition ride. It had great animatronics and looked like an old west version of Pirates. Plus the island doesn't seem safe for children... or even me. What if a crazy old man is naked in the cave just waiting for someone to enter?

We love TSI and do it every trip, even at DLR. Other than accessibility issues, I am not sure what you mean by "an attraction the everyone can enjoy". Technically, everyone can enjoy it. Little and big kids get to run around, adults too. Adults can sit and watch the boat and parade go by while older kids run free on the island. It's especially nice if Aunt Sally's is open and you can sit in a rocker drinking lemonade. It's the perfect down time activity, because the kids don't complain about not having anything to do. I have not ever felt unsafe there.

The naked man running around thing is pretty creepy. But it's an island, I don't think he would get away with it easily. Plus, with not very many CMs on the island, guests might just administer some Old West justice on him.

I'll try to find an article on that. I only found a Wiki reference to a railroad train which would've gone through the mountain itself as well as around the area lol

Point is, I remember reading that an early concept for Grizzly Peak included a very similar ride to Big Thunder Mountain that was never built because apparently the mountain wasn't built to hold the weight of two attractions (and the land was over budget, as well). The concept returned much later as Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars at Hong Kong.

Not sure if that was a fake article, but I sure remember reading about it.

I agree as well. It's jerky, uncomfortable, and nearly impossible to get in/out of if you're at all tall.

I was hoping the Tomorrowland movie would be a success and prompt a complete re-theming. I find the present Tomorrowland tacky and completely un-futuristic. Probably my least favorite area at MK. I'll always visit for the people mover and Carousel of Progress, but other than that I don't find much there to enjoy.

If you don't have anything on hand don't waste your time, but that sounded pretty cool. I do wonder if they felt there was a redundancy with BTMRR right across the Plaza, but it sure would've been cool and largely needed with the dismal ride roster at opening.

likely not but it needs something as its just way to jerky. I've been on wood ones that are smoother than it. Had a bruised elbow after riding it as it kept getting banged into the side. Could be a great ride with an up date. Maybe if the had another e ride in Tomorrowland the would. Guess we'll see what they announce next month but I think it'll be big things for HS and not much else.

They weren't willing to give POTC more than three and a half months so I doubt it.

I'm pumped about Frontierland! That's absolutely my favorite land in the Magic Kingdom, mostly because I adore Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. The theming is great in the entire land, and I'm just pumped for any new attractions!

Speaking of which... Some new info:

Seasonal version of country bear jamboree I would absolutely love that.

Yes lots of insiders have said that they really hoped the movie would be a success so they could use that for a Tomorrowland fix up.

The frontierland expansion calls for one e ticket and the likely return of seasonal versions of Country Bear Jamboree. Also said to be sort of like WRE with a twist...

Looks to be a delegate budget from the 300-350 million cut from the 3 billion.

So just to recap what is likely to be coming.
2.8 billion dollar redo of DHS that will include Star Wars and Pixar additions.

New illuminations or replacement in Epcot

Frontierland expansion including a possible e ticket attraction.

Tomorrowland Speedway takes up an insane amount of space, but 5-10 year olds love it.

I think if gas prices had kept rising, they'd have removed the ride or introduced an electrical system, though.

The electrical idea has been discussed before and it would be much more expensive and the batteries probably would not last as long as the gas powered vehicles.
