I am getting so excited for Avatar, which is something I never thought I would say if you asked me 2 years ago. Both rides have the potential to be among the most innovative and unique rides we've seen at Disney in a long time. I will be very interested to see how much of an attendance bump AK gets before Toy Story opens, and if Frozen will be enough to keep Epcot as the #2 park.

As someone who walked past that staging area for a good five months, it's amazing the rate of progress the are making - and they still say they're behind schedule.
Jim Hill was the only one claiming they were behind schedule.

The second half of 2016, Epcot will be the park to be at with a new Soarin and Frozen Ever After. In 2017, Animal Kingdom will be the park to be at with Rivers of Light (even though that will happen in 2016) and Pandora opening.

Now with them expanding flower and garden I wonder if they will push up the 24hr wdw party to the weekend before memorial day. With memorial day being a fiscal week later this year than past years I wonder if they will still have the 24hr at that time or maybe a week earlier to fall in line with previous fiscal time tables

I doubt they will change the 24 hour date. I think its more likely they get rid of it all together.

well i guess only time will tell, they have been releasing the may special events updates pretty regularly the past two weeks. Who knows what tomorrow or next week will bring to the news feed

I think the more likely thing is that the powers that be hope to eventually turn F&G into something like Food and Wine 2.0. They will likely to continue to expand the food booths, and drive people to come a "celebrate" at a different season.
Just run food and wine year round but during the spring put out the topiarys and call it a day.

At Christmas party tonight and things are only worse. They opened band lines late at 7 and closed them at 8. Then you have to go all the way to guests services in the middle of the parade. So 2 hours later you make it to guest services and wait in an hour line out the door just to get a band!!! Worst trip ever!!! Never coming back!

That's Nuts! This is what is normally a very uncrowded time of year (or at least as uncrowded as it gets). It's always a pain getting run over by strollers and the electric carts, it certainly seems like most people have no idea how to drive them, especially people that just rent them for the trip.
Yes and the adults are the worst! We had 2 groups of grown adults say excuse me and push our kids out of the way at the parade and stand right in front of them to see Santa!! It is really ridiculous! They really need a list of rules for people who have no clue!

And how do you expect Disney to enforce those rules?
