Has anyone seen any evidence where this has really caught on in MK in Florida? In past trips, since they came out, I don't think I have seen more than one or two in the crowd during Wishes...maybe I'm just not seeing them. Are there more at Fantasmic?

They are definitely a big deal in California, though I don't think I've seen as many of those in Florida. I think they are at Fantasmic as well, although I don't recall seeing that many either.

I see most of them in DHS during Fantasmic, but they are pushed there more than any of the other parks (window displays, a pre-show show, the carts in the front, etc)
In MK you will find some when it gets dark, but people aren't wandering around while waiting for the shows like they can at Fantasmic so unless someone is looking for them, they have a much lower chance of being sold.

It'll be interesting to see what the visual is in Epcot. I think the reason they work so well in DHS is because the theatre provides an unobstructed sea of hats. Illuminations viewing is so spread out and only has a few rows of people at any point, that I'm not sure the visual effect will work

I think it's replacing Pizzafari.

EDIT: or maybe Pizzafari is becoming a different QS and the new restaurant, Tiffens, is being built right next to it.

As far as I know, Pizzafari is staying. It’s just losing one of its dining rooms and sharing a kitchen with a new restaurant. I just wasn’t sure if THIS was that restaurant.

I'm thinking it's not. The article said it had waterfront views. AFAIK, Pizzafari isn't on the river.
