Throwing this out there. Walts office in One Mans Dream has been taken out.

Seeing so much more press on the Disney Museum after the One Man's Dream announcement. I personally plan on going soon.

Walt's office was so cool to see, I used to feel so inspired and fueled with creativity just by seeing it.

Really hoping there's some sort of mini version in one of the vacant buildings.

D23 announcements very exciting, thanks for managing two threads @rteetz !

Yep. Likely more things will leave as well before the September closure.

When did it get a closure date? I thought this was the one attraction that was rumored to be closing, but never confirmed. Or was that VotLM?

Buh bye all of my money...

Toy story land is the Pixar expansion

I'm really happy this ended up being a Toy Story Land. I like Cars but I always really wanted us to get something different than DLR. I'm excited that when we go to DLR in February that they have different rides and some land than WDW. If they were the same I would feel no need to go to DLR.

Overall I'm very happy with the announcements from this past weekend. I know a lot of people are disappointed with the late starts, but I always kept 2021 in my mind as the completion date so I'm okay with all of this.

Mermaid and OMD are connected building. It hasn't been officially announced but the taking of walls office makes it seem much more likely.

I think there is more that hasn't been announced yet.

That would make sense. That's a lot of land they're using to only build 4 rides. Also, it's not like Disney to show all of their cards in one go.

Yeah. It's a bit early to say (lol) but I think we should expect a Marvel land announcement at DCA and something else for DHS by D23 2017. Has any insider said anything on the 2.8 billion budget now that the expo is over?

I have to wonder.

What's been announced doesn't seem like it adds up to $2.8 billion. Not sure if that's just because there's a bunch of details they haven't released or there's actually a further phase to the Hollywood Studios plans.

Exactly. It's believed that close to or a little over a billion will be all infrastructure work because the park really needs it but there is still a lot of money left. Jim hill claims there are two more Pixar additions coming with monsters inc and cars being them. I defintely think there is more but just don't know what. This budget is for the next 5-6 years.

They still say that's the budget and there is likely more we don't know. We know Star Wars and toy story are happening but the details are very vague.

Alright, so I just want to make sure I understand this and am keeping up with this thread...when I am at DHS in mid-November, basically all the shows are going to be closed (Indiana Jones, Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast) as well as OMD and AoA?

When I'm figuring out my FPs, basically the only thing we know will be open is ToT, RnRR, TSMM, Star Tours, and GMR. Then there's the Muppet 3D show, F! and Osborne Lights. Am I missing anything? Am I forgetting any rumors of anything new that might be there in mid-November? Oh - and I will make sure not to miss that sound stage sitting room that they've set up :rotfl:

There's still some master re-theming that needs to happen. If we just go off what is announced Hollywood Studios becomes a huge disjointed mess.

Enter on a street modeled after old Hollywood with the theater in front. Turn right and you stay on the theme and go to RnR and ToT. Back to the central location, you have the theater and TGMR. Behind that an empty alley with Toy Story behind that. To the left of Toy Story is LMA, Streets of America, Muppets - some or all of which may be Star Wars Land. You still have Indy, American Idol (or whatever it is now), Dino lake... So much doesn't fit. There has to be a central plan.

I was hoping they would announce Hollywood (or Florida) Adventure, a general re-theming, and that the theater was going to become a Tenple and they are putting the Indy ride in (yes I know Dinosaur, clone, etc - but it still would've looked cool). Then convert the lake to Dagobah with the X-Wing in it, and overall redo everything to create a stronger world. 4 worlds - Space, Toys, Exploration, and Modern.

Regardless - I don't think they are done announcing but I don't think any more E tickets or anything major. I imagine a lot of the money goes into creating a theme for whatever the Studios becomes.
