Snow White, Ariel, Belle, Cinderella and Aurora teach Princess Leia what it means to be a Disney Princess. Disney Princess 101!

I can't imagine the value in flavor/experience of that steak is anywhere near where it is priced. Like most posters, I think you're spoiled if you live in a midwest region, or city where high end steak houses are a normal thing, and are being set up for a disappointment.

C'mon man!
You know I found it interesting that when people were complaining about prices of the boathouse that many other places on disney property are comparable in these prices. The yachtsman has a $118 steak, Le cellier charges $44 for a 8-10 ounce filet.

Agreed, after being at Le Cellier and hearing from a close friend about Yachtsman (comp dinners from group travel), I confirmed that it's better than a lot of what you get around property, and dry aged a bit, but no where near what you can get regionally. Esp. With the high price tag. Obviously, you pay for the disney mark up, but I find it hard to pay for a steakhouse at Disney. Hate to see people pay that high of a premium and walk out feeling robbed. If you don't have a good steakhouse around you, it's probably an amazing experience, and still cheaper than Chicago Cut!

I will say, Cellier does prepare steaks very well. The descriptions on the boat house are currently very vague and I'm sure will change.

I don't think the Boathouse prices are outrageous for a high-end steak house, even though I was one of the first to comment. However, it better be a damn fine steak. Yachtsman's might have a $118, but I wouldn't buy that. However, there $45 steaks match or exceed the quality of most high-end steak houses at a comparable price, to me making it one of the top "values" at WDW. So, to me, I don't need ANOTHER high-end steak house that at best will MATCH what Yatchsman's already does. (I'm not kidding - their Steaks are amazing.) Especially with them obstinately refusing to put any actual adult entertainment options at DTD, giving me no reason to want to head there for fine dining. It seems to me they will have to have a very high quality of food to succeed at their price point, because I can't picture locals coming in unless the food is excellent.

Actually though as I reviewed the menu, they actually had some lower priced options that didn't look bad. That would be my choice if I heard good things and decided to try it.

I no longer know what Le Cellier's reputation is, since we haven't been since they switch to a 2 TS credit. Our opinion there was that the food in general was great, except the actual steaks, which were OK but not worth the prices. As a 1 TS credit meal on the DDP it was worth it. As a 2 TS credit meal, we pass it by.

I'm the one who started the price banter, so I suppose I should probably weigh in here. My point in posting my dissatisfaction with the Boathouse pricing is that it is probably going to be "more of the same" (average quality for wayyyyyyy above average pricing). Sure, it's a bit unfair at this point to make such a blanket statement without having experienced it, but do you really think you're going to get $53 worth of 8 oz filet? I would be willing to bet "no" based on what I've experienced elsewhere around property. While Yachtman's and Shula's are both "good", IMHO, they're not worth the price, either. Again, if I'm craving a steak, I'll stick with my $32 beef tenderloin at the Wave, because the quality vs price paid makes it one of the better values on property. Can you get a better steak at Yachtman's? Sure you can. But it's not going to be worth almost double the price - to me, anyways. I wish we'd see more options for $32 steaks cropping up as opposed to $53 ones. That's the crux of my post, but we all know that's nothing but wishful thinking, as Disney continues its "Build it and they will come" philosophy...

Your mileage may vary.

Rumor has it selfie sticks have been banned from walt Disney world attractions. CMs are trained to look for them and tell guests they need to be stored away on rides. I for one am happy to hear this.
Just in time, since I hear they're coming out with an IPad selfie stick (or already have - I'm not up on these things).

Enough guests with those and you'd have to stack your kids 3 high on your shoulders just for the top kid to be able to see enough of the show to relay how great the fireworks looked to the 2 kids below him......

Just because they may charge $118 for a steak doesn't mean it is a $118 steak.

With many a restaurant you are paying for more than just the food. I don't know enough about this restaurant, but I guess they expect it to be "high-brow".

I think Steak price and quality depend on where you are from. I am from PA and we have decent stuff, but I went to Wyoming. They take beef seriously! Every restaurant name ended with, "...and Steakhouse". Even the Vegan restaurant said, "...and Steakhouse!"

Olivia Wilde and Garrett Hedlund are set to return for Disney's "Tron 3."

The pair will reprise their characters from 2010's "Tron: Legacy" in the sequel, which is being directed by Joseph Kosinski.

I wanted that movie to be better. It started out with great potential, but sort of fell flat in the last part. Kosinski films stuff beautifully, but his story-work leaves much to be desired. My expectations are low for this.

Random question here, but is Disney ever planning on using the technology they have for Sum of All Thrills in Innoventions on an E-ticket type ride? I'd imagine the slow loading time would be very problematic, but when I tried that for the first time a couple summers ago it was a really entertaining ride.

If I have my info correct, Disney cannot develop new rides using that technology right now.

The designer, KUKA, has an exclusive deal with Universal.

Ah ok. That's too bad, but at least it means their hands are tied and not that they are choosing to ignore fun design ideas I guess.
