Just saw this and my first thought was "Well, I guess they aren't rethemeing the ride anytime soon if they are adding a bar with the current theme"

While it may be easy to conclude that, think of the various options that have been added by local park ops. For example that one rest location in the former jack sparrow lounge. This bar is probably going to be a quick addition by TDO. Any major money from Burbank would cancel out this project.

I'm still leaning towards the DHS doesn't get GotG camp, but this doesn't indicate anything. Interestingly fans voted Tower of Terror the winner of the March Madness game of the Disney parks blog.

I wouldn't necessarily say that - a bar isn't and doesn't have to be the most extensive theming, and there's no guarantee this would even stick around long term.

Though I still don't feel they were go GOTG theming, this isn't definitively in the no column.

That would be highly unlikely as we know they want it up quickly. Seeing as we won't get the attraction until late 2017 it would be far too soon to launch a Guardians themed experience in Tower of Terror. Any Guardians addition of a bar would happen during the renovation or after. I'd guess this doesn't mean much. We've seen TDO and TDA invest in things only to have Burbank throw them in the garbage.

RnCC is more plausible to me. At least as they were presented by Spirit, I'm betting we don't see that implemented.

I guess I should stress the "soon" part of my comment. I can't imagine they would do anything to add to the ride if they are close to announcing a re theme of the ride ... you could add bars other places rather than a place that would shortly be under construction

I agree that would be foolish, but Disney has been known to do things like that. Anyone remember the new Tram Cars at Backlot Tour?

I had my doubts about ToT from jump. RnRC makes so much more sense.
I think whoever started the rumor got their wires crossed.

Be that as it may, ToT (to me) would be very difficult to retheme to GotG or just about any property that isn't TZ. You'd have an easier time removing Twilight Zone altogether and going with a generic theme. On the other hand, RnRC would suit GotG very easily.

Time alone will tell.
