New Spider-Man movie title Spider-Man Homecoming

http://www.**************.net/2016/...-spider-man-reboot-at-cinemacon-in-las-vegas/

I think I saw a post on reddit last week where the user said they were confident this was going to be the name of the movie based on the domain name Sony had registered. Guess they were right!

lol that sounds like a bad Disney Channel movie.

It be for a couple reasons.

1.) The story may focus more on Peter Parker than Spider-man (Homecoming referencing a Homecoming dance, referencing the high school drama Peter would have to deal with as well as saving the world.)

2.) Maybe there is a Spider-Man story arc titled "Homecoming"

3.) Marvel found a way to throw a jab at Sony without them even knowing it. Based on some of the emails that were leaked, I wouldn't put it past Sony to not get it.

I get te high school aspect of it. They chose a younger Peter Parker for that same reason. It just sounds like a really terrible name in my personal opinion. I guess I'm not the target market for that one :confused3

Could be! I always think titles are pretty interesting (such as "Edge of Tomorrow" being re-marketed as "Live, Die, Repeat" for home distribution). Found an article from April 4th (so it was written before the movie titles announcement) confirming there is a Spider-Man story titled "Homecoming". Maybe the plot of the movie will take some inspiration from that specific issue. Though as the article says, the Marvel movies aren't very faithful to the source material.

There is in fact. Amazing Spider-man 252. Which is significant primarily because it is the introduction of Spider-man's black costume, the alien symbiote that would eventually turn into Venom.

I'm not sure I'd read too much into that mind you.

Better than the original planned title:

Spider-man: This one won't stink, we promise
(Also co-incidently the working title for the new Justice League movie.)

True, it's all speculation, but seeing as that 252 issue was released after the Secret Wars crossover, it could take bits of that story to get some other Marvel characters into the new Spider-Man movie.

I'm just happy The Amazing Spider-Man was such a failure. They were trying to set up a Spider-Man cinematic universe and an Aunt May solo film was slated to be made. That's just what I want to see, 90 minutes of Aunt May taking her Rheumatoid Arthritis medication.

Yeah, that definitely was never going to happen. There were Sinister Six and Venom movies planned, but no such beast as the above.

The title and the logo are bizarre. Hopefully it's not just an insider reference to the return to Sony.

Rumor

Soarin reopens next month with the old movie in digital form until June.
So I guess the down time was to add the extra theater and changing the movie might be just additional IT dev. hours to finalize the movement of the ride along with the movie and when they're ready they'll switch the movie and whatever key that controls the movements of the ride.

Are you expecting the 3rd theater to be open with the old movie between next month and June?
