Don't get me wrong. I'd love to see plussings and additions to Jungle Cruise, just not "The Jungle Book Cruise".I am a Jungle Cruise fan also!!! I am not against updating any or remodeling a bit , but I for one miss the HAT at DHS, and the LMA will be a loss to my grandson who LOVED it !! Back lot tour was my daughters favorite !! She loved the area with the props !!
It's been speculated to not come back for years. They just keep making it more difficult though.
Walt Disney said both these things:
"We're selling corn. I like corn."
"When I was a kid, a book I read advised young artists to be themselves. That decided it for me. I was a corny kind of guy, so I went in for corn."
If you don't like corny jokes, you might just be visiting the wrong theme park. Disney Parks are full of them. Just not all of them a said out loud. (See that recent post showing pictures of the Rivers of Light area - I really want myself some fresh brewed "Ye-Tea".
I don't see anything in common save for a word in the name.Don't get me wrong. I'd love to see plussings and additions to Jungle Cruise, just not "The Jungle Book Cruise".
The Jungle Cruise jokes aren't clever or funny regardless of who says them and even worse they come at the expense of what little the ride might offer.
Again I have no sentimental attachment to Walt Disney but I'd argue there's a difference between corny and bad. The Ye-Tea reference is at least somewhat clever. The Jungle Cruise jokes aren't clever or funny regardless of who says them and even worse they come at the expense of what little the ride might offer. That's a bit like watching one of those "Everything wrong with XX in 2 minutes" YouTube videos.
You've been on quite a rampage lately.Somebody need a hug?
Tigger can tickle!
But you're paying for a full day of entertainment at the MK, unlike over at DHS.No, I just like what I like. And when I have to pay $100 to get in a park, I don't think I need to settle just because Walt had a hand in it.
Jungle Cruise could be a much more interesting ride, probably with relatively little effort. There was even a proposal at one point to install some inflatable pouches below the water surface in strategic places. Inflating them would let them rock the boat slightly. That and may be a few animatronic updates could make a huge difference to the ride.
I don't understand it either. Why would you eliminate the very POINT where they merge - the very POINT where you can (in theory) "line jump"? If you needed to eliminate anything - eliminate the initial one - let somebody "think" they are cheating the system and get stopped right at the point of merge - where they can be sent packing backwards and get in an even LONGER standby lineI'm not at all clear on how they've solved the line jumping question. Perhaps they'll keep 2 touch points for attractions where it's physically possible to change lines.
GREAT POINT!I wish they would just move the second touch point to the end of the line where they already have cast members stationed anyway. They could require the guest to scan again before the boarding the ride. Without the second touch point there will line jumping everywhere!!
