If you like the darker wood. Have you picked what shade of wood yet?
The "Buy with the crib for this price" thing pairs it with the same crib I got... It's WONDERFUL quality, very sturdy, will last a long time. A bit of a PITA to put together, though.

...I'm off to go grocery shopping for my MIL. She's coming to stay at our other house and refinish our hardwood floors, woohoo! Then Logans for dinner with her and DH, yummy, yummy!

Ooh I really like the neutral colored one (off white). I showed it to DH and he's ofcourse like "ORDER IT!". LOL such an impulse shopper. I saved it to my favorites so ill definitely be going back to it. Thanks so much!

Yeah i think we will go with dark wood for the nursery-- most of our house has cherry wood so it would go well with everything already.

Logans!! Eat some rolls for me! Yummo!

mmm...Logans...what I wouldnt' give for a good steak right now!

See Patsy, it's your fault we went somewhere good to eat and I got sick. I'm blaming you :lmao:

I'm gonna go sit in a nice bath (and I hate baths as opposed to showers) and hopefully go into labor. Somewhere on yahoo answers, a lady said she went into labor about an hr after a hot bath.... Nothing else has worked, so it's worth a shot...LMAO

Veronica--after 2 solid weeks of my prenatals, I started getting sick again (no where near as bad as last time, but still)...so I'm going to try every other day. I was thinking Met one day and the prenatal the next...if I can possibly hope to figure out what day it is. lol

I was going to ask you about that too! I still haven't been able to take mine without getting really sick :sad2: So I've just been taking my Flintstones. Don't know why those don't affect me the same. I guess cause they're made for children :confused3 I think that's a good idea you have. Maybe not taking them together on the same day will help you not get so sick. Keep me updated on how it goes :goodvibes

I like it a lot, too. I was going to use darker wood but then we ended up deciding to trim everything in white in our bedrooms and I just couldn't imagine it together, so we went with honey. The darker wood is gorgeous! :thumbsup2

See, my DH is the opposite...
I was on my cruise when the crib came and when I got to Key West I had two messages. One said "The kitties hair is falling out, should I take her to the Vet?" and the other said "There is ANOTHER BOX on our porch and I am running out of room, did you buy anything else I should know about!?!?!"
:rolleyes1
Now, though, he is grateful I bought things the way I did- because we're set now and he never saw the money disappear so it was like magic and we were ready for baby. (Men... :rotfl:)

Mmm... rolls... I had 3. :flower3:

Uh, the obvious reasoning here is... you should have gone to Logans and not Ruby Tuesday. Duhr. ;)

I will!:thumbsup2

Just wanted to say I'm headed to dr...1 day before D-Day to have my membranes stripped.....hope this helps, cuz for some reason, now I"m scared!
LOL

Looks like I joined you too soon. Had a beta yesterday and it was only 15 and my tests today are almost blank. I am not removing my siggie until AF starts though.

Hey girls. Looks like a lot going on here the past few days.

Raysnkaysmom- I hope todays the day for you.:yay:

I am leaving for Chicago on Friday. Ooh, it is going to be cold. At least cold to me when we have been in the 80's here. This is my last plane trip before Natalie is born. I have told my family if they want to see Natalie this summer, they best make a trip here. I do NOT want to travel with a baby right away.

I'm so sorry. hopefully it was a fluke and you are preggers. if not, please feel free to stick around--we have a couple other moms TTC, I'm sure they'd love to have another buddy. :grouphug:

Fingers crossed.

Here is a photo of DS1 room. There is another dresser that isn't in the pic and now there is a glider in there too. DH had friends come while I was at work to paint the room. :goodvibes

Here is the bedding I just bought today for DS2. We're going to paint a color called oatmeal and do some simple ocean decor. Their rooms get so much light during the day it will be nice and bright in there.

So since everyone was complaining about the lack of cute boy clothes, can I please complain of the lack of ANYTHING non-pink for infant girl? I'm not talking just clothes--everything is pink...I hate pink...I'm a purple girl. It's so frustrating. Lily's going to have a lot of neutral or boys versions of things, cuz I will not deal with that much pink!

I'm sorry, but I found this very funny! :rotfl:

I tried to resist looking at little girls stuff (especially when I knew it was Lucas and not Cassidy) and almost everything I loved was like orange, green, yellow, etc. I have the cutest green dress I could NOT resist that has pineapples all over it. DH made me promise, after we found out, I wouldn't dress Lucas in it.
It's gotta be the different areas, too, I guess??

Today was a long hard day! I teach at the high school, dd9 goes to the elementary right next door (connected by a sidewalk) and ds11 goes across town to the middle school. I dropped him off this morning, then drove to the high school (dd9 stays with me until time for school to start then walks over). There were 3 police cars out front, and it was only 7:30! I get out of the car as some other teachers start coming out of the building-bomb threat! We didn't get inside until 8:20. We ended up with fire trucks and a homeland security truck there before it was over. Senior research papers were due, so we think that probably had something to do with it;)

Then around lunch a severe storm when through, and the principal was panicking over the threat of tornadoes. The kids were already wild from the morning, alot of parents had picked up their kids or never dropped them off (I can't blame them).

The storms blew over, and things were almost settled down, when one of my boys fell out in the hall (he has seizures every few weeks) and an ambulance had to be called to come and get him.

We were just on pins and needles all day, and now I'm exhausted!

DMickey - I'll be thinking of you!!!

Thanks for the 'today' wishes everyone!

When i went to the dr for them to strip my membranes (that term just sounds so...ewww... ), as he was checking me (still only dialated to 2) he had a look on his face and said "I think she's breech, I think I felt her butt"... DBF and I just looked at each other, we've been thru so much with her... I asked if it was common for them to be head down all this time and turn so abruptly, and he said it was rare, but does happen more in women with previous pregnancies. Ugh. So, he is sending me over to ultrasound as her heartrate is also a bit slower than normal. He said if she is indeed breech they will do a C-Section either tomorrow or Monday. He said when you are this close to due date (tomorrow) they dont' try to turn the baby around, and he'd rather not wait for me to go into labor and rush a C-section, rather be more prepared.

Anyways, the ultrasound showed she is fine and he was wrong :) Whew.
So, went back in the room and OUCH....stripping membranes hurts like hell!
He told us the other ways we can 'rush' along labor...and I said walking is my only option , that hurt too bad to try his 'other' advice... lol

We walked around a couple stores and I'm hurtin a little, but nothing much new. He said, IF it works, I'll know in the next 24-48 hrs. I'm hoping for the morning. My DS was born ON his due date last yr...maybe this one will do the same :goodvibes

My Sil had that done (the stripping of the membranes) and later that night she was in labor. I hope you are in labor soon! Good luck!
