OMG!! Not to be gross, but, we're alll moms here...
Just got up to go potty (again)... Plug GONE... OMG I'm so excited....and now all of a sudden nervous...lol
No contractions or anything, but with my DS, I started within a couple hrs...

I'm gonna try to lay down...I feel nauseous, dont know if its the excitement or if I'm really feelin sick....lol

Good luck Tracy!

Staley, your two are just precious. I've been thinking about you & wondering how BF &/or pumping were going for you. Would really like an update if you have time. :goodvibes

Looks like I joined you too soon. Had a beta yesterday and it was only 15 and my tests today are almost blank. I am not removing my siggie until AF starts though.
I'll be saying a prayer for you! And please feel free (if you are comfortable with it) to stick around the threads. We would love to be here for you!

Here is a photo of DS1 room. There is another dresser that isn't in the pic and now there is a glider in there too. DH had friends come while I was at work to paint the room. :goodvibes

Here is the bedding I just bought today for DS2. We're going to paint a color called oatmeal and do some simple ocean decor. Their rooms get so much light during the day it will be nice and bright in there.

Very, very cute!!! I especially like the sea theme.

So since everyone was complaining about the lack of cute boy clothes, can I please complain of the lack of ANYTHING non-pink for infant girl? I'm not talking just clothes--everything is pink...I hate pink...I'm a purple girl. It's so frustrating. Lily's going to have a lot of neutral or boys versions of things, cuz I will not deal with that much pink!
Its true that there isn't much outside of pink for girls. I didn't know what Madeline was going to be so I had a lot of neutral tones given to me beforehand before my sisters came two days after she was born with a duffle bag filled with girl things! There were a few items that weren't pink but majority of it had some pink in it! It gets a little better as they get older though!

So I took my dd to get her hair cut yesterday. We had 10 inches cut off (she's giving it to Locks of Love) and she looks soooo cute!! But so much more grown up! :sad1: But its gonna be a great haircut for summer (I will post pics later after I get them loaded on the computer). Then after that we went by our Childrens Hospital so she could turn in her money she collected at her birthday for the hospital. It was a good feelin' day yesterday! I'm very proud of Madeline! Today is the last day of her spring break and we are heading to the aquarium to see Winter the dolphin with the prosthetic tail!

BTW, Sarah and Patsy, did ya'll know your birthdays were only a day apart? I noticed on fb. Happy Early Birthday to you both! We are going out of town next week for a few days so I wanted to make sure and wish you both a happy birthday now so I don't miss it!

I'm sorry, but I found this very funny! :rotfl:

I tried to resist looking at little girls stuff (especially when I knew it was Lucas and not Cassidy) and almost everything I loved was like orange, green, yellow, etc. I have the cutest green dress I could NOT resist that has pineapples all over it. DH made me promise, after we found out, I wouldn't dress Lucas in it.
It's gotta be the different areas, too, I guess??

It's only the infant stuff I'm talking about. There are a lot of green and yellow--but that's the neutral stuff I was talking about. I just don't get why there is almost no purple.

And it's not just clothes--I've found some purple there, it's really all of the accessories like the strollers/carseats/packnplays...it's all either pink, blue or gender neutral too. We've picked a lot of neutral stuff, which I know is the way to go anyway for any future kiddos.

Anyway, Staley they are sooo cute!!! And good luck Tracy!! Yay!

Thanks!! It's supposed to snow on my b-day...woohoo! I have to work all day anyway, so no big--it ALWAYS snows or rains on my b-day. I was actually born on Easter and my aunts tried to get my mom to name me Bunny! :scared:

Girls, I need to vent....

This might be long because im a little winded about this. A friend of mine called me this morning (we've been friends our entire lives... talking 6months on here). She has 1 4yo, and had an abortion (the ugly word) last year. This morning shes on her way to work (late) and I ask her why shes so late- she says because she had a Drs apt which leads to her telling me shes pregnant. I say "congratulations, are you going to keep it"... naturally, because she got rid of one last summer (I didnt say my friend was the smartest person in the world-- or someone i think real highly of). She says she must-- its too late. Shes DUE with a GIRL JUNE 5!! :scared1: WHAT? how did you not know before now? Im asking her all kinds of questions (Im the "Frank, don't sugar coat anything" friend!). Apparently shes not showing, her reg. clothes still fit, she took a PG test back in october and it was positive but in nov. she bled the entire month so she figured she miscarried. Yadda yadda ya! Im flabbergasted! She hasn't told her parents (which she still lives at home with her dad, his wife, and her daughter-- shes in her early 20s), has a boyfriend (his was the abortion and this one, daughter from a bad night in college with a different guy). The entire story is just embarrassing. So anyway she tells me this and tomorrow we have a Bridal Brunch with a bunch of girls we are mutually friends with. I haven't seen any of these girls in quite some time and ofcourse not that this was my spotlight- but if there ever was one going to happen its gone now-- along with the shock of hers, it will definitely spotlight.

Okay rant over. Sorry so long!! Im happy for her and I told her that. Every baby is precious. She doesn't seem too excited right now, more nervous than anything (esp. because she hasnt told her boss, dad, OR boyfriend). Im always the first to find out these things.... I hope im not being a baby. Im not upset-- just kind of mixed with a weird feeling- kind of hard to explain.

Okay out to buy something for the bridal shower tomorrow..

Raysnkaysmom- Im crossing my fingers everything goes well.

Staley- Those babies are DOLLS! I want to eat them up!

Hooooo boy, that's just crazy. I pulled up my calendar & counted it out, she just figured it out & she's 31 weeks! :scared:

Even when she bled & thought she miscarried, she never sought out medical attention? I mean jeez, even w/ a m/c sometimes you need a D&C to finish things off so you don't get sick. I completely hear you on not that responsible or smart.

I do understand her being more apprehensive than anything else right now, I mean she's only got roughly 2 months to get ready!:scared1: Wow, I do hope everything works out ok for her.

31 weeks! Holy cow! Is she heavy?

I guess the universe (or whatever you believe) really wanted her to have a second child. I mean if she had known it sounds like she may have had another abortion. Maybe the child will be someone very important!

No shes extremely skinny! Shes very very tall, 5'9'' or something, and she was a basketball player in HS and College.

Ill see her tomorrow at the Bridal Brunch, i still cant believe it all!

Have a good trip out of town!

That is nuts. That is pretty much where I am, 2 days ahead of her.

I already can't roll over in bed without being careful (or knocking the wind out of myself:rotfl:)... can't bend over, just little things I don't think about (because I STILL don't feel pregnant at all) but to not have a clue??

I really hope she's not been out partying or anything like that. My concern is does she smoke, drink? :scared:

First off:

Staley: Your babies are ADORABLE!!!! :lovestruc

DMickey: I hope to see good news posted

And I LOVE all the nursery pics. Wish ours is that far long... :rolleyes1

OK,
So... today was my doc's appt. And I've been having "digestion" problem lately (the past 2 weeks). I told the midwife that and she said "It's normal. Your baby is pretty much wreaking havoc on your digestion. Not to worry."
I thought... good... because I'm having like these gas pains while I'm sleeping. Sometimes when I'm just sitting around and stuff and it just made me mad.

So she went ahead to check for the babies heartbeat right and as soon as I lay down, came this stupid gas pain... I cringed... and she said?

"Did you feel that contraction?" :scared1::eek::scared:

me: Wha?

midwife: That was a contraction.

me: You mean that was NOT gas pain?

mw: Nope. You have to start counting these...

me:  I can't even tell the difference.

All these times I was complaining to DH about having gas, apparently it's contractions!!!! :rotfl:

No she doesn't smoke or drink. She may have socially drank during this time- but nothing major (that would be out of her norm). I did ask her if she had continued her Birth Control Pills:scared: but she said she stopped those after she thought she miscarried. So thats a positive!

Interjecting here to tell you that I labored all day with those kinds of contractions. I had no idea. They started feeling like what I expected contractions to feel like about 2 hours before DD was born. I barely made it to the hospital, and when I got there I was fully dialated!

Good luck!

AAACKKK!!!
Did you have time for an epidural at all? :scared1:

I remember my birthday being on Easter once when I was little... There was a bunny on my cake.

It's calling for snow showers here on my birthday as well. Go figure.
And I took the week for vacation, too! :headache:
Oh well. I thought I could use it to get more prepared... or maybe now to sit in bed with a book and a hot chocolate and watch the snow fall...
