Ok, so I swear I am getting the crap kicked out of me lol. People mention these wonderful flutter feelings like butterflies in your tummy... umm, it feels like I have a sumo wrestler in there! I mean it has to be him right? If not then I keep feeling these hard kick like twitches. He doesn't do it much, I might feel him once or twice a day but when I do its for a while. I think it is the strangest feeling and the bad part is I know this is only the beginning!

Anyway- I had what they called a baby "stress" test a few weeks ago. They hooked me to a regular monitor and did all sorts of mean things to him-- loud noises, bright lights, vibrations, shaking my whole stomache, etc... to try to get him to move. Don't know what a non-stress test would be, unless it's just the monitor without all the extra "stressers"?
Bright lights?

Ve have vays of making you viggle.

He told me they would hook me up to the monitors and I would tell them when she moves? What if she is sleeping during those 20 or 30 minutes? She's a wiggler, so maybe she'll be moving then. Maybe I need some chocolate on the way to the appt. (The ice cream and bananas sounds heavenly!)

Yeah, sorry, I guess I left that part out. :rotfl:
I had a little remote thing that when I felt him move, I clicked. :thumbsup2

Sounds like what I went through without all the crazy "stresser" stuff like the vibrations, light, noises, etc.

YES! I remember when that glider was that price. I cannot believe I didn't order one. Im seriously kicking myself right now! What a steal! And it looks so cute too!

Update for me:

I went to the DR yesterday and my gender u/s is in 2 weeks (I find out at 18weeks). They said if they cant see the heart, lungs, etc, ill just get another u/s (Bummer, right? LOL jk).

As for weight gain- im 16 weeks, small build (although I do have big hips), and have only gained 3 1/2lbs. Its not really even 3 1/2lbs the doctor said. My 12wk apt I was down 2lbs and never have had any sickness so they dont know if they ever got my weight right the first time (ie it fluctuates during the day, etc). In the last 4 weeks ive only gained 1/2lb. Im really not even showing hardly. I don't really look pregnant at all unless im wearing maternity clothes with the big belly band thing that makes you definitely look like you have a belly. My belly isnt pointy or anything. Last night we saw some people we knew at the imfamous Wal-mart and they commented that I didnt look pregnant at all. Im happy about little weight gain, but scared at the same time. The heartbeat was good though. I know the baby doesnt weigh that much right now anyway, but i dont want to pack on the serious lbs later on and then have a ton of stretch marks.:scared1:

The price was the reason I took the stab in the dark and did it! I didn't think I could find anything close to that price that matched my colors so well. Don't you hate when you're on the line about something and regret your decision later? :headache:

I didn't *look* pregnant in everyday/maternity clothes until about 25 weeks. 22 weeks was starting to look a bit more baby-- but 17 weeks I just looked round and pudgy! 25 weeks I had the pointy look and even now, depending on what I'm wearing, you can't tell I'm pregnant.
I ran into a high school teacher yesterday and he didn't notice. I tried not to let that bother me. :rotfl: It was difficult to let it go, though. I only have 9 more weeks, dangit! :rolleyes1
You'll get there soon!!
(I found out at 18 weeks too!)

Bright lights?

Ve have vays of making you viggle.

:rotfl:

Yes, supposedly babies sometimes respond to light by the point where I was... I think 26 weeks? :confused3

Im glad you didnt let it bother you but I could easily see how it would. This is our one chance to have a pregnant belly (or big belly either way) and have people comment on it. LOL-- if they don't know/think we are pregnant... do they just think we put on weight? Id much rather be known as the pregnant chick! LOL

I definitely regret that decision. Especially looking back knowing I cant get it at that price again (or atleast i doubt i could).

I would definitely rather be known as the pregnant chick, too. A couple customers at work have finally started talking to me... I can tell before some were apprehensive to say anything. They're pretty shocked to find out I only have 9 more weeks, when they ask how far I am.
Which is bizarre to me, since the Dr. said he's totally bigger than normal! Go fig. right? :confused3

This is me today, in a shirt that DOES make me look pregnant. It's edited to fit onto my chart that I posted before but I also love that I could crop out my fat arms and double chin.. :rolleyes1

This one isn't bad.. but you don't know what you're having yet but you find out soon, right? It's very blue.

Then there is this one,

If you like the darker wood. Have you picked what shade of wood yet?
The "Buy with the crib for this price" thing pairs it with the same crib I got... It's WONDERFUL quality, very sturdy, will last a long time. A bit of a PITA to put together, though.

...I'm off to go grocery shopping for my MIL. She's coming to stay at our other house and refinish our hardwood floors, woohoo! Then Logans for dinner with her and DH, yummy, yummy!

My girl kicked like crazy in the beginning--so don't get too set on the boy thing. She'll usually go nuts for a little while and then nothing for most of the day...in the beginning she did it more though--I think it was the novelty.

Now she stops anytime she feels pressure, so anytime I or anyone else tries to feel her.

Went to the Dr today--I gained 7 lbs in 5 weeks...not terrible and I'm still under what I was when I started. Next appointment is my sugar test...yay. :thumbsup2

Veronica--after 2 solid weeks of my prenatals, I started getting sick again (no where near as bad as last time, but still)...so I'm going to try every other day. I was thinking Met one day and the prenatal the next...if I can possibly hope to figure out what day it is. lol

Can I join in? I just found out I am expecting! My name is Elena and DH is John. According to my calculations we are due Dec. 1, but that will be verified at out appointment on April 28.

Lucas likes to go days without moving at all and freaking me and the Dr.'s out.
I've now discovered I can SEE him moving even when I can't feel him.

Is that normal for anyone else? To see more than you can feel? :confused3

Yummy, yummy Glucola. Do you have to do it in-office or do you drink it at home and go?

Just had to vent/whine - Tonight DBF and I had an evening to go to dinner, and we went to Ruby Tuesday. Everything was good, just had DS with us, my girls went to their dads... Ate the salad bar, went thru 3 glasses of sweet tea
(am I the only one who drinks soooo much while pregnant?!) and a couple bites of the appetizer when I started to feel sick. I have gotten sick a total of 3x after eating this past month, which I never did in my other pregnancies...

Anyways, sparing details, I got sick, came back to my entree (fish and shrimp) sitting at the table, had to get a to go-box and get sick again. Needless to say we left quickly.....

Can I just go into labor already?? I have hopes this is a sign, but I have no other signs :headache:

Could be! My mom threw up when she went into labor with me. I threw up during delivery but I think it was all the hard contractions and hard work lol!

I threw up the night before ds11 was born, but you can't really go by me. I threw up supper tonight, too. Dh was offended-he cooked. I told him I liked it-I can't help that Katie didn't!

My oldest DD was my biggest kicker too. My son was also fond of staying still and scaring me. He's made up for it every day since he was born.;)
