You know, it is cheaper that way! As much as I love him, I know he'd make us miserable if we MADE him come along. The kids are just excited that he'll be there for the vacation! And I can plan to spend some quality time with them at night, while daddy has the little one.

I'm already planning a cruise for 2012, when Katie is 3 and can go to the kids clubs. He has made it clear that he won't go, and I've made it clear that the kids and I are!

Oh, I already told DH if we can afford it we're doing the inaugural (which we probably won't be able to) but either way, we're doing DCL in 2012. He'll be old enough for the kids places (not Flounders nursery but the other place... what is it? Oceaneers??) and I think DH would love a cruise. It's pretty much what he enjoys-- sitting on a chair and watching the ocean, etc. We might have found salvation through DCL.

Same with DH, though. This first trip to WDW will be a test but i'll monitor him closely.. he's pretty much ruined (with crankiness) every vacation we've ever been on (EVER) and if he's not going to like WDW, I'm not wasting the $$ to take him. Baby Lucas and I can go and enjoy!


...I totally wanna check out the Harry Potter stuff at Universal when it opens, though!!!

I canceled my WDW vacation for this May today. It was tough for me. But I figured since I am having trouble walking I may as well just wait. I think we may try to go in November with the baby, he/she will be about 5 1/2 months by then. My SIL gave me her baby bjorn so hopefully that will come in handy then.

I can't wait to find out if this baby is a boy or girl. My ultrasound is March 5th, I hope the baby isn't bashful. I NEED to know what it is.

I'm so sorry that you are not feeling like you'll be up to the trip. It is very dissappointing to have to cancel. But just think, you can look forward to taking your child to WDW for years to come.

I do hope that your baby cooperates for your u/s. Mine is scheduled for April 20th -- and I have to hope for 2 coopertive kidlets!

We havent been to WDW yet.. and probably wont until all the kids are older, just because of how far away it is.. Plus heat and humidity DONT agree with anyone in my family. We would end up killing each other.

We are taking the babies to Disneyland early next year. Definitely before they turn 1. Or maybe for their first birthday. Even my dh cant WAIT to take them for their first trip! Plus my sister lives about an hour away from DL, so we will have to see her.. and Legoland!! Cant forget about that. Oh yeah.. I have already been planning it.

My baby bjorn is very handy at wdw!! I use it to bring the baby on the rides he can go on. Small world, peter pan, etc etc. That way, he's strapped to me (or hubby...but mostly me). I've been w/a 8 week old, a 5 month old and this one will be about 6 months old when we go.

We cancelled our September 2009 trip a couple of weeks ago. We rescheduled for November 2009. I just did not want to take a 3 month old in that heat. November will be much more pleasant and we took DS when he was 5 months too. It killed DH to cancel free dining, but it was worth peace of mind for me.

I'm so jealous... even though you're on the right coast, Staley, for Disneyland.

DH has been (was stationed in San Diego) and I've been to their Downtown Disney but I was only in Cali for 3 days (we literally flew for the weekend as a 'girlfriends weekend'! )but never been in the parks!!!

...is it normal to get out of breath crazy easy? We heard a crash and ran to the basement (so, down the stairs) and by the time I got there I was huffing.
I'm also noticing it's harder to get out of bed, I can't really bend over (well, not if I want to get back up..)

Yes. It is very normal. Just wait until your really big, and the baby is all up in your ribs! That is fun stuff! My husband actually congratulated me getting out of the bed myself today. He is such a butt monkey!

I got a cramp in three places in my leg this morning and so he woke up to me screaming "TOM, TOM, TOM ohmygod, it HURTS TOM, TOM, TOM" he had no idea what was happening but bolted out of bed which of course meant the kitty thought it was dinnertime and in turn she started meowing up a storm..
Yes, he bolted out of bed because we sleep in a king bed that has about 3 body pillows between us.. it was quicker to get out of bed to get to me than it was to try to break through the body pillows!
He felt pretty helpless when all it was was a cramp, which he could do nothing about.... but like a good hubby he stood there!


Ohmygod, I would die for SoCal weather. DH misses it tremendously. He's ready to move. Actually, he's looking at jobs within FedGov in South Carolina as we speak. He keeps asking me if "Charleston" or "Columbia" sounds good then burst out into laughter and said he could apply for a job on Parris Island (where Marine Corps. bootcamp is)... He's a butt monkey sometimes!
Sometimes I have to remind him we just bought a house...

I get really bad charlie horses in my leg all time. I never had them before I got pregnant. Crazy stuff!

My whole family melts in hot weather. I am not a huge fan of anything above 70 or so. Isnt that awful! We went to DL in June one year, and it was SO hot.. SO HOT. We wont be going back during that time!

I had them before I was pregnant, but only whenever I'd been really active and then sat on my butt for a long time. And I could just massage them out, they were little ones.
These are sooooo horrible and tight and I wanted to cry. I'm such a baby! I have pretty big calf muscles and you can SEE the whole muscle flatten out and see it twitching. DH just sat in awe, worried about me. I laid in bed with a silly smile on my face for a good twenty minutes after it went away.. haha


Psh, nothing over 70? We get in the 100's here in July and our new house doesn't have AC!
I'm grateful that I'm due early June.. it will have only hit the mid-80's by then so I won't melt TOO much.

I hate it here. You get the worst of both. We have crazy, horrible humidity in the summer with temperatures in the 90-100s... and in the winter we get more snow than where I work in Ohio because there are mountains here (but, oddly, pretty much right after you cross the river into Ohio the mountains are GONE!) I sat on the interstate for 45 minutes the other day to go 1 mile between two mountains where there was 3" of black ice on the road and police were letting 1 car go at a time... but as soon as I got past the mountain, the sun was out and shining and people in Ohio were like "why are you so late for work?"
UH! Because I live in h-e-double hockey sticks for weather!

Okay, has anyone ever ordered online at TRU? I'm starting to get annoyed with their so-called "promotions"

I was going to go ahead and order our car seat. They have a "free diaper bag" with purchases over $100. Except the so-called "free diaper bag" is charging me $17 dollars in shipping!
The carseat IS free shipping, so uhm... explain to me how a "free diaper bag" that I don't even want.. is $17 in shipping charges?!?!

Technically, yes. It's a SafeSeat but the color matches our stroller better.
Same price on Amazon as BRU, with this "Free Shipping" which is the only reason I was going to do it. Otherwise I'd of just gotten a color that didn't match on Amazon for the free shipping.
But last week I couldn't do it because of some stupid promotion that charged me too much and the lady said I had to wait for that promotion to end if all I wanted was the carseat. Well now this stupid diaper bag promotion is screwing with things all over again!

Maybe.. lean really close to your computer.. do you hear the music from Jaws? No.. I dnt know what is going on! It worked perfectly, and showed right where it took the shipping off.
