Newest "Moms to Be" Thread

Amazon had one that wasn't too far off a couple weeks ago. Should have ordered it. It's been gone ever since my parents said "Hey, we bought that stroller for you guys"

But it's not come back. Maybe it will. Not like I need the durn thing today.

Hey everyone!!

I just felt the baby kick--for real. I've felt some flutters, but I'm sitting at my desk and I felt a couple of little "pushes" on my abdomen and then, boom!, a real kick! lol It was too cool.

I went to my Dr today and she asked about feeling anything. I had only felt some flutters that I wasn't sure were the real thing. I told her I was thinking I'd have to enjoy my kick free time as everytime we try to hear the heartbeat, the little munchkin is moving all over the place.

I have a bunch of work to do, but I wanted to stop in and share! :teeth:

Aww! So exciting. I remember sitting there and going "No, that can't have been.. could it? " then I got another little kick and there was no doubt!

Congrats again :)

I have been hearing a lot about the Baby Bjorn lately.

Any one recommend it or disagree with the glowing reviews?

What is the best model?

Awwww, that's awesome. I know I'm still *really* early to feel anything (12 weeks) but sometimes I get little flutters, when I'm very still, like before I fall asleep, that I think must be the kids. :goodvibes

I bet with twins, it is! Staley? :)

So I gave in and ordered that pillow you guys suggested. I've had a terrible time trying to get to sleep. The body pillow I have is just too fluffy and I can't really use it without causing more issues (like, if I put my arm on it I wake up in the middle of the night because my entire arm is cold and asleep and tingly!)

Hopefully that pillow works miracles. I need my sleep!!

I used one with my Son 4 years ago. I loved it when he was really little. I ended up getting a sling when he got heavier though. I think I had the original baby bjorn. I see they have some really nice ones now...

It could very well be. I felt my babies moving really early. I want to say around 12 or 13 weeks or so. Its more common with twins to feel them early.

Sarah, congrats on feeling your little one. :cloud9:

My DS(2) has an ear infection so we have had a rough couple of days and nights. I can't wait for the fever to break and have his meds really kick one.
I am getting very tired, prego moms need more than 4 hours a night.

Cool, so maybe I'm not crazy.... Ok, that's not really conclusive evidence on that matter, I mean, I know that sometimes I *am* crazy, especially now that I'm pg!:rotfl:

So on Friday I had my screening u/s appt (NT scan) and the consult w/ the MFM (high risk) doc. Not sure if I like him, I'm still sorta pondering. I think that my regular OB is more conservative in approach than the MFM doc. Guess that means I found the right OB. Not totally sold on the MFM guy though.

My big plans for tomorrow are to stay home all day & collect pee for a 24 hr urine test. Joy. :upsidedow

Tom's (DH) uncle just called to let us know my SIL lost her baby and she's in the hospital. :(

I can't imagine. I feel like I should do/take something and go visit her but almost feel like that might be a bad idea, being obviously pregnant.

Sad.

(I know my BIL is really big on being the "older brother".... as when he told DH about this pregnancy he added "I couldn't let my little brother show me up!" and this would have been BIL's first kiddo.... so I just feel like we need to be very careful here. :()

:guilty: Thats to bad. I would stay away, and maybe call... How far along was she?

Very sad. How far along was she? I think I agree with Staley, stay away, she probably wouldn't want to see you right now. Maybe call. Maybe send flowers or a gift basket when she gets home.

It's been too long since I've had to update, so I just wanted to post this again. ;)

She was 15 weeks... (Due August 16th)

I told DH I think he should go (if for nothing but his brother) and I'll stay behind. My belly might certainly cause bad feelings. :(
I might send him by Krogers to get a bouquet before he heads out.

How long will she be there? I was only in the hospital long enough for the D&C and then sent home as soon as I woke up. Both times.. So she might not be there long enough for visitors.

She was admitted. Not sure. I called the hospital and got her room number and went to Krogers with DH to pick out flowers. We got her a vase of Lilys.

He's going to go by and see her/his brother if he is there.

Dropped me back off at the house. He agreed with me, my tummy wouldn't be welcome in the room. :sad1:
