"Newest" Moms Hangout... take 2!

Welcome!! Like everyone else has said, don't stress about a schedule, just do your best to survive and maybe get a shower right now! My DD is completely schedule resistant even at 15 months, but I still get things done and she is super happy.

I hope everything is still cooking and/or that everyone is healthy Steve! i'll be thinking about you guys!

I posted on FB, but here's Lily's Halloween wardrobe:

That's from a party on Saturday. Lily says "baa" everytime she sees it. Lambs are her favorite ever since she got to pet one at the farmpark.

This is what she wore on Halloween. The little flipper in the back moved as she waddled along.

Awww!! Lily is ADORABLE! How honking cute!

Everyone's looks so cute in their costumes :thumbsup2

Did anyone get the Pottery Barn Kids catalog? They have the cutest bunk bed for girls in there. It looks like a litte cottage. Soooo cute. It is for the age of 6 and up and not to mention, over a grand!:scared1: They have so much in there I want. I am going to order the doggie sleeping bag for Natalie and get one for her dollie that matches.

Ohhh okay, thanks. I was just curious!

My BP plunged with the spinal. It was terrifying. I'm a dork, but it freaked me out. I just remember them rolling me on my back and my OB saw my face and said "What's wrong?" and I said "I just don't feel right" and bam! The machines started doing their noisy alerts. They angled the table, gave me something (I'm guessing that drug you mentioned) and started waving ammonia in my face. The anesthesiologist's second-in-command guy (I'm not sure if he had a real title, lol) kept getting in my face and going "It's okay, this is normal, you're good!" while he was waving the ammonia. They never even told me that it was possible so I was FREAKING out. :rolleyes1
The same thing happened to Cathy when they were doing her epidural. It was pretty scary for all involved.

So far, so good.

Yesterday's blood work and BP was a bit better than previous ones, so we have a reprieve until Monday when they check again.

Also, she lost her mucus plug yesterday. That was exciting because it at least means that we are moving in the right direction. Hopefully, we will have had the baby before the OB decides that he has to do a CS.

I am in LOVE with that bed! Sadly I don't think I will EVER be able to convince my husband on that purchase! I really like the sleeping bags too! Very cute!

When the actual anesthesiologist was putting the spinal in I heard him mumble something to my OB about fluid so I must have needed more. Or something. I don't know. But his first attempt didn't take. I got shoooooting, horrific pain down my left leg and so he tried again and said "Your right leg should be getting warm" and I told him my left leg was tingly and he said "Well, the right should follow soon!" (didn't exactly instill confidence let me tell you, lol) then my BP dropped.

I'd been on fluids for a few hours, but I guess I needed more. :confused3

The same thing happened to me with my repeat CS. I would have to say it was the worst think about the repeat. I remember the room going dark and I felt nausea.

Pretty much as soon as I had my spinal in with the twins, I started puking -- yeah that was fun, anesthesiologists & nurses running to find me things to puke into... goodtimes <<<shudder>>> followed by dry heaves until they got some anti-nausea meds into my IV...

Definitely. Everything else I absolutely loved. And even when they got my BP back up, I still didn't feel 100%... still just felt weird,,,,

I did fine with the epi with Lucas (though I'd been on IV fluids/Pitocin for 7 hours when I got it) so maybe that is why.. maybe I just needed more fluids.

Yeah, I dry-heaved too. My OB gave me the little kidney bean shaped puke tray but all I had was dry-heaves.

Did you feel like your hands swelled up like balloons too? The guy kept making fun of me because I kept making my hand into a fist during the whole thing because I felt like if I stopped moving my hand it was going to swell back up. Looking at the pictures, you can really see how swollen my hands were:

No swollen hands here, just swollen feet & ankles a few days after birth -- thinking it was the 2nd or 3rd day home I got these nasty fred flintstone feet.

Oh I was puking up a storm they were running, cause I was filling those little kidney shaped plastic thingies....

That's awesome news!

We went out to dinner last night. After we got home, I went to change Lily's diaper and she had hives the size of soft balls on her leg and butt. Scared the crap outta me for a second, but they didn't seem to bother her, so I gave her some benadryl and a bath. After the bath it was much worse--basically all over her from the waist down. My DH was freaking out, but since she wasn't even scratching or whinning at all, I wasn't. They were all gone this morning.

The only thing we could figure was that it was the high chair at the restuarant. Maybe they had cleaned it with something? It was weird.

This bed?

That doesn't look like it would be a very hard build. It's basically just a loft bed with a cute front, but it doesn't have any complicated details.

I think Elliott FINALLY has a few more teeth coming through. He has had his two bottom teeth for the past 3 months....and nothing since then! I noticed the other day when I was feeding him, when the spoon hit his top gumline, he would get upset. He is up north with my parents right now, and they said he is grumpy and making weird faces with his top lip. So hopefully when he comes home there are some new ones in there.

RE: The PB Kids bed...okay, I totally want to show my dad that picture, and see if he can make Elliott a log cabin bed like that for when he is older!!!

They had something similar to that at a local baby store, but it was a castle. Soooo awesome.

We had a loft bed for DS5 and just went back to a twin bed cause he wouldn't sleep in it. It had curtains and a place to play underneath with a slide.

He now sleep in his new "twin" bed with no issues. Which is great after 4 years of co-sleeping or sleeping on the couch or floor :rotfl:

Yep, that's the one. Isn't just the cutest thing. Good idea about building one!

The first link, the last bed the purple house... My DNiece (7) has that bed!! The next I am over there I will take a picture of it because she put Tinkerbell on it. I love the beds on the second link and the one from PB but Annabelle crib converts into a full size and we already have the rails to do so, so I cant see buying her a new one.

Have any of you been to PoshTots.com? They have some OUTRAGEOS beds for kids! They have a Cinderella coach, it's only $47,000.00! If you want to be shocked check it out!

Got Annabelle 6 month picture done today 11/6 and they did such a great job. It was eventful tho because James want to get a picture oh her standing aganist a block. She did it and then started laughing, fell and hit the back of her head on the floor. She is fine and I was very impressed with how much they were willing to help us. This mommy will admit I was tearing up because I felt like it was my fault. My baby girl is such a trooper tho cried (normal cry) for 10 minutes and then was done and laughing. The manager was stilling asking us if we needed to call anyone or go to Patient's First. The poor photographer tho was crying and we overheard it was her first day.
