IHi everyone! I've never posted here before but I come here all the
time right before I go to Disney World. I was at the Magic Kingdom
this week and I saw the new DVD by accident. It does look almost
exactly like the old one except for the color and the world Magic
Kingdom on the front.
We got back late and started watching the DVD just for fun. I was
stunned at what we saw and we didn't get to bed until two o'clock!
First off, the whole thing looks very different than the other park
videos. I don't know how to describe it but my hubby thinks the
whole thing was shot on film instead of video. It really looks great.
Right at the start, you see what Main Street looks like before the park
opens - from the top of the castle! The video covered just about
everything except the parade, Buzz Lightyear, the Tiki room, and Snow
White. I may have missed one or two but it doesn't feel like anything
big was missing.
What was really neat was the special features. You can watch the video
with a small gold Mickey head that spins in the corner of the screen.
When it pops up you press a button and more video or graphics appear
that tell you more about the park. I didn't know the symbol on Walt's
tie-clip from the partner's statue was his ranch emblem!
The DVD has another thing that took me a while to figure out. You can
watch a point of view from the front, left, right and back while riding
on the steam boat. When you click a button on the remote, the view
changes like you're moving your head as you ride.
Please, please, please let us know when the others come out!
