I am a single mom to a 4 year old and will be traveling to Orlando for a professional conference. We will have one day that is not tied up in meetings. I am traveling with another single mom and her daughter, who is set on going to Disney. I've never been there before, so have no idea of the set-up or distances involved.
My question is: Is it worth going to the Magic Kingdom (or wherever) for what will be part of one day? And about how much money would I expect to spend between tickets, food, and misc? Money is tight and this isn't really in the budget, but don't want to disappoint my daughter if she does actually catch Disney Fever.
Many thanks! You can email me direct at msh57@verizon.net
Thank you!

YES YES YES it's worth one day there especially since you won't being paying to get there & stay (I'm assuming your work is paying this!) there is plenty of fun you can have in jsut 1 day -but make sure you're @ the park when it opens & stay til it closes to get the most for your $---you're dd will have an AWESOME time! Can't remember the website off the top of my head -but it will list the menus @ the restaurants so you can plan your $ that way...remember you can pack sandwhiches to take in if you need to or any snack food to save $...the meals run about $7 adult & about $4 for child...so eat @ hotel before going & plan about $25-30 for your meals for the day - snacks run about $3.00 (icecream , chips)...
Hope this helps you some...

I say do it! Dh went there on for a class and we went along. We drove over each evening(from 4:30 until close-sometimes 8:00, but a 9:00 night one day). My 3 year old had a blast and it was just enough. I can't remember how we bought our tickets or how much we actually spent, but it was a blast.

The website that provides the menus and the prices for the parks and the resorts is www.wdwig.com. Here, you should be able to get an idea of what you will spend on meals during your visit.

A one day visit is very short but depending on the time of the year that you are going to be there, you can accomplish quite a bit in a single day.

Have fun!!!
