New York / florida

Luggage tags do not get sent to the UK for DME so I'm not sure how they identify your luggage? I always pick up my own cases and take them to DME so never bothered to find out what I would have to do to have them collect my luggage, or even if this is possible. Certainly none domestic flights can use the actual bus though.

A US based Disney TA can mail them to you if you use one.
I did read that you can his give a description of the luggage but that sounds like a recipe for disaster to me. Personally would not risk it.

We are going to NYC for the first time this October. We have booked to stay at the holiday inn express just round from Madison Square Garden as we are going to a concert there. We have also booked a 7 hour walking tour with Real New York Tours costs $70 per adult but they offer shorter tours as well. They have great reviews on trip advisor and two of my friends have said they were fantastic.
We head to Boston after NYC (then from Boston to Orlando) so have booked with Jet Blue as they worked out the cheapest with the best flight times. As has been mentioned the free bag also helps as one of the other airlines was cheaper but was more once you added the bag cost.
I've been advised the best way to see the Statue of Liberty is from the free Staten Island ferry.
Can't wait for our trip.

Looks like we've got similar count down , how long are you going for , think we're going to have to have a play around with dates and see what we wanna do and visit m my head is doing over time :hyper:

We head to NYC on the 4th of October head to Boston on the 8th then it's down to Orlando from the 11th to the 18th so two weeks non stop. Going to need a holiday to recover from this one. Can't wait though we are seeing fleetwood mac at Madison Square Garden. DH wouldn't let me get ones for Boston though :(

We have booked the open tickets for top of the rock and Empire State Building didn't want to be tied to a specific time. The real New York tour we are doing covers loads of areas and so we figured would be a great way to cover a lot as we are only three days in NYC.
Helicopter rides are a bit out of the budget as we have Boston etc to factor in as well. But there is always next time.

Yes I thought they were quite pricey and on top of that price you've gotta pay. 25 dollars each also I can't believe how expensive the hotels are compared to florida ' I'm looking at them reading reviews then getting out off even though they have loads of good reviews , some of the hotels I like the dates are not available :( but I'm not sure it's because sold out of haven't been allocated the rooms to sell in the sites I'm going on , I'm preferring Expedia or trivago as the taxes are included

Well we looked at loads of hotels before settling on the holiday inn express near to MSG. Ok so there are lots of places to eat out but a free breakfast and free wifi swung it for us. I read lots of reviews and most of them have said the rooms are great/clean and staff all very helpful. Plus we don't intend spending a lot of time in the room so paying a fortune to stay in a swankier hotel seemed pointless.
And yes the cost if Top of the Rock and Empire State Building are pretty high but we just choose the cheapest option at $29 per person but by the time you add on sales tax it's a lot more.

Just booked for July 15 - Flying to New York for a few days then will need to get to Orlando for a week, then considering the rest of the trip in Sarasota then flying home from Orlando. 16 nights total. Hoping to pick up tips on here for the trip!
