If I may ask...what are your kid's ages? I would presume older since you're getting seperate staterooms for everyone...

I see you have the Magic in your sig, are you cruising this fall too? Have you cruised with Disney before?

I look forward to meeting you and your family next year...we had an English couple we befriended on our last cruise, I spoke to them quite often before and during our last cruise. Great folks....lovely people. I wish they were cruising with us again. They decided to cruise the Meditterranean with Disney this year.

My name is Colleen. We'll have 2 staterooms on deck 7. I'll be cruising with my husband, 2 children (DD 18 & DS 21 right now), DSsGF and my Mom this time around. My first ever cruise was on the DCL Eastern with my Mom, DD and DDs Best Friend during Christmas. We met alot of this group on our first cruise, we started talking to each other 2 years prior to that one as well.

We were on the 2005 Christmas Magic, and so look forward to our 2nd cruise. We were actually booked on the 2007 Christmas cruise, but we cancelled in favor of the 2008 NYE because of the great people we met on the 2005, and we wanted to cruise with them again, so 2008 it is!

We're all one big happy bunch of Woo Hoo cruisers!

Tig, Nan, and Grim, I'm sorry to have to tell you that the kids and I have to cancel our Disneyland trip. I know you'll understand, and know how disappointed we are that it won't work out for us. BUT let's keep things positive, and know that we'll definitely be on that ship in 2008!

Friday night, Chad, Louise, and I met up with a group of NYC area Disers. We met at a Jazz bar, but it was so packed, that we walked the streets of Manhattan looking for a restaurant/club that wasn't filled to capacity. We founf a Mexican place with outdoortables, and we had a fun-filled few hours together. Thank goodness the weather was mild. It was hosted by Diser RickInNYC and his partner Joe. We had a blast.

Hi Colleen and Aisling! Thanks for the welcome. I didn't give much away with that first post, did I?! TBH I was so excited to be posting as I had just that second completed the booking online...

Our cruise history goes like this...

DD and I did the 3 night Wonder cruise back in May 2005 as part of our first Girls Only WDW trip (2nd one coming up in Oct 2007 ) and we l-o-v-e-d it! I later convinced DH that the best way to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary was to have a Vow Renewal on the Magic this September, so that'll be my second and his 1st cruise.

When the 2008 dates were released, I missed out on the August repo, so booked a Mexican Riviera for DH, DS and myself BUT suddenly the idea of getting everyone together for a great NYE bash seemed too irresistible and here we are!!! I'm going to cancel the Mexican Riviera cruise - it's a lot of cash and I'm pretty sure the flight costs from the UK will be !

Hey but who cares?! This will be so much more fun!!

I changed my countdown ticker to months, because six hundred-something days just sounds too doggone far away. I can handle 20 months a lot better.

I just realized, 20 months is two-babies-worth away!

The VR ceremony usually occurs on At Sea days and we're hoping to have it in the 'Secret' area on Deck 7, weather permitting. You can definitely get married on CC, so I bet if you threw enough $$$ in the Fairytale Weddings direction, a CC VR would be a distinct possibility...

TBH the heady mix of sand, sea, a posh frock and me would be too much for any wedding planners to handle - I just know I'd be messed up before you could say "I do - again"! Of course there are no guarantees on the relative safety of Deck 7 - at the very least there'll be heels stuck in the decking and a general windswept look to the party! I'm thinking superglued hair might be the order of the day...

I can't even think of when this cruise is since it's after the repo....I am however, equally excited (for different reasons) to travel with you all on NYE.

We've been Dland APs for a few years on and off. Since the first cruise, we went to Disneyland Paris August 2006 and come July 2007 Miss Molly and I are off to Hong Kong Disney. Yes I'm the nutjob that makes this silly Disney travel happen. We live in San Jose, CA. Paul & I work from home, he is an attorney, I do accounting for start-up companies. Molly & Wilson speak Spanish. I think that's us in a nutshell. Or maybe you should put me in that nutshell....

Rick is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE DISers!! I've followed his posts cause what he writes is guaranteed to make me laugh! He and Joe share so much detail from their lives and with such humor they amaze me.

It's nice to see you here Chad! I haven't told Britt yet that you guys aren't coming to Cali...she was looking forward to hanging with you. At least we know we'll see you in July!

It's very nice to officially meet you all Karen...

I visited deck 7 on our cruise last december. It was a sea day in the morning. A few folks were reading and a couple were sleeping out there. I had my coffee and a book. I don't recall it be too windy out there. Maybe my Mom, Trinibjill, can tell you more-she was out there a few times in her travels about the ship.

Our cabin is very near the secret deck for NYE. Maybe you could arrange to have the ships photographers out there with you. They do a phenominal job!

Deck 7 is great. Not too windy at all especially since it is aft.

The majority of the time it is sparsely occupied. When there are people there it is usually quite quiet.

I was a little iffy about going on a cruise again..due to my last cruise experience (there was hardly anyone my age and nothing to do!). But of course under the circumstances (people i am cruisin with) i was willing to try another cruise. Now as i read more and more about the disney cruise ship and itineraries i am happy and extremely excited to cruise. (It also helps that we are cruisin with people who are around my age...and if there is nothing to do then at least we will have each other lol).
