For all of the WL experts: We will staying at the Wilderness Lodge the last week of May '03. Becasue of my party size, I reserved two rooms and requested that they be connecting. Does anyone know if all connecting rooms include a standard room with two queens connecting to a room with bunks or does the WL have rooms with two queens in each room which would have the connecting door?

Thanks for the info!

Hi All...
Connecting rooms vary by bed type, most I will say are..Two queens connecting with a queen and a set of bunks, Then two queens connecting with two queens...After that you will find Handicap accessible (King Bed) connecting with two queens and there is only ONE Queen and bunk connecting to a queen and bunk( woods view )...I hope this helps....

Have a Magical Day.....

Goofy4tink, we are going to be neighbors at the WL!! We have had to change our ressies due to job conflicts from May now to August. We however wont be arriving till August 17, we are departing August 23 also! How cool is that? You are going to love WL, DH and I stayed here for our honeymoon in 96 and cant wait to come back this time with our children. :bounce:

August WL dis'ers,,,,get those lime green ribbons out and ready!!!

Yipee!!

Looks like we may be getting to go to Disney after all. It won't be the 8 nights that we had originally planned but possibly five nights. But hey, even one night is better than no nights.

I was laid off my job On Jan 1, our company closed the building entirely. Happy New Year Huh? Anyhow, we have moved the dates to August now, due to my pending new job, but at least we are still going.... Like you said even if its only for one night!!!

Cognratulations Ratpack!!

Thanks Bear Necessities,
The way I figure it, even if I am still unemployed, the money I spend in WDW would not make or break me so why not go. The memories I will have from watching my DD and our newest DS (5 months) will be far more valuable to me than the money anyway.

Oh and we are going with friends and I thought they would like AKL, but lucky me, they agreed to stay at WL!!!:bounce:

This is exactly how we look at it too. This will be all three of our childrens first visit! We got the DVD planning video last week and I bawled through the whole thing. Imagine what Ill be like at WDW - my lime green ribbons will be a little drippy!! LOL Hope you have a great 5 days Enjoy!!

Bear necessities,
where did you get the DVD planning video and was there a cost?

Last year was our DD's first time and when we went to Chef Mickey's after check in and DD got to meet Mickey, DW lost it. A memory we will never forget. One of DD's favortie videos now is the planning video. She just watches an says "I saw that". AHHH Memory Lane, what a wonderful place!!

You can get the DVD from DisneyWorld.com. It's the same as the Video only now they make a DVD too. It's free, just sign up for it :-)

Thanks to everyone who mentioned the discount codes. I had no idea such things existed til I found this site....after reading here I researched and just booked WL for 7 nights at the end of May at 30% off! This will be our 6th trip as a family to WDW and we did the 7 day Eastern Carribean cruise last year. Previously we had always stayed at the GF but the budget didn't allow for that this year....the code did allow me to add 2 days and still save from rack rates!

Good for you jobodisney and welcome to the DIS!!

Kimmar067, I sent you a PM. Can you please read when convenient?

Thanks.

....got your pm and I am still working on that link for you!!;)

BTW ~ I wonder how cmmam is doing.......

Ratpack, Irishone1979 is correct, but we ordered it this way and didnt recieve it. After a month of waiting I phoned the wonderful CMs at WDWT or CRO (I dont know who I got) and we recived it within a week. it is great and better than the regular video, you can hop around and see what you want. And there is a section dedicated to resorts only too!! Its the intro that got me bawling! LOL Enjoy!

...here is that link I promised to set up for you. Happy reading!
(BTW ~ I am going to try to download some pics.... )

Day 1

Just wondering here....do any of you remember what kind of rates were available last summer, mid-Aug? We're booked and hoping for a much better rate. And, how is Artist Point for a somewhat meat/potatoes palate??
