Ooo, whatcha sewing?

I love that you mentioned 'how many people can the seat fit?' for Thunder Mountain, because when I went to do that, we had Rider Swap, so it was just myself, while Baloo and Stormy waited outside. I got into the seat of the train that had pulled up, and a couple was behind me, and the lady moved forward to sit down next to me, and motioned for her husband (/bf/fiance/whatever) to follow, and I just looked up and then down at the seat and said "I...don't think...3 can fit in here..." and she made a face, backed up behind the yellow line, then glared at me until the train had left. I mean, she was really tiny and all, but the guy with her was my size. Ain't no way all 3 of us were fitting!

Yeah, I hate the drop on Splash. Good thing I keep going in Jan/Feb when it's closed! ;) Gimmie a rollercoaster any day over that drop. :p

Your girl has good taste though, Big Thunder is our favorite as well!

Hey, just realized that 7 Dwarfs will be open when we go in 2015! (well, maybe) :rolleyes1 It better be amazeballs for the time it has taken!

I should go work on my own trip report so I can start my PREtrip report! I only have a year after all. ;)

Hahaha- I actually love drops- just not 'wet' drops! Becca doesn't share that love with me! I really love Big Thunder too though so I don't mind that it's her favorite!

Yhea, 7 Dwarfs BETTER BE OPEN when we get there. Actually, it better be open when I go for ToT!

You can have a concurrent TR and PTR- I do!!!! :thumbsup2 That way you can streeeeetch out your TR for months and months and months... just like me! Hahahahhaha!!

Just stopped by while taking a break from my marathon of sewing and saw that I should post the grey stuff recipe I have! Truth--I haven't tried this yet but it sounds pretty easy and delicious! Let me know if you try it before I do!

Grey stuff!

This is currently chillin' in my fridge for dessert after dinner. I shall give you my full review tonight! I did not add pearls because I grocery shop at Target and they apparently don't carry edible pearls!

Ooo, whatcha sewing?

You are all too talented for me with this sewing! :) Yes, share what you are sewing on your PTR! :)

It occurred to me just now, with 5 months of hindsight, that we should've just come and met you at Haunted Mansion and BTMRR and Splash Mountain. They were all rides we hadn't ridden yet and wanted to ride. Instead we ended up doing them on our short morning our last day, and BTMRR was down at the time so we never got to ride it. (It was closed in California too in June, so we haven't ridden BTMRR now since 2011!) If only I had thought to say we'll come meet you, or you had said come meet us. I mean, it's not like we sat around waiting for you, but I think DD would've had more fun riding those rides with your girls than riding the ones we did with stinky Mom and Dad.

I am writing up our AK day right now (probably will post tomorrow), and it makes me especially sad at this moment that we couldn't spend more time together. (I know, while you were probably thinking "How can we shake that crazy family!" :dance3:)

However, I'm glad to see it seems you made it to Hoop-Dee-Doo on time. It seemed like by driving there it was going to be a LOT of travel and I was wondering if you would make it. And I'll be interested to hear your review. I suspect it'll be similar to ours.popcorn::

Hahahaha, that probably would have worked for the better. Our goal was to head towards you & I think that's probably why we didn't suggest it because we kept thinking we were on our way... but then that next ride/character sidetracked us!

Yes, AK day was such a bummer- Sarah was so, so sad too! She really wanted to spend the day with A. The only thing good about that day was the rain cleared the park and by the time we got there & over to Everest we were able to ride it about 15 times!!

I am totally with you on the construction of the Mine Ride...seriously how long does it take. I love that you captured Lumiere in the picture, I would have never spotted that!

I love and hate Splash Mountain too...for the same reasons. I always want to ask can you turn down the water when I drop, I just wanna see the ride not get wet!

How fun was the picture with Jesse & Woody...and yes bad scrapbooker, you threw off the color scheme. I obsess what everyone is wearing...another reason my family hates the camera!

Well Mine Ride better be open by PHM weekend! :) (actually, better be open by ToT weekend!!!)

I will photoshop the color out of my shirt for the scrapbook page! (you know, when I get to it in the year 2020)

I think if told my family that I could photoshop the color of their clothes and they did not have coordinate any longer they would but me the program! :rotfl2:

In the torrential downpour that seemed to greet us this fine Friday evening, we huddled under the small eaves of Pioneer Hall - waiting for them to open the doors to get in to the Hoop Dee Do Revue!!!

I was a wee bit bummed because I bought Photo Pass Plus and was supposed to get free pictures from this dinner... but they didn't have the set up going because of the rain. So I never got it. Boo. Hiss.....

But that's about the ONLY negative thing I have to say about this dinner- because we LOVED it!!!

Yes, the whole cost me the equivalent of a new car. But this is probably the singular #1 thing both older girls & the non Dis lovin' hubby talked about the most.....

The door finally opened and they led us to our table!

Sigh.. on my mother's complete and utter lack of ability to ever look at a camera. Seriously how hard is it?!?

Sarah brought her leaf in. Why, I have no idea. I think she made it into a pet- much like a pet rock.. only a pet leaf.

You know why else I like this meal? Um because there is alcohol included in this meal.... beer, wine or Sangria. Oh, did someone say Sangria? Yes please!!!

Mom and I both had two of these. And that's probably why we loved this show!

For the non-alcohol drinkers!!

Our food came out quick. Salad....

Cornbread....

Beans, Ribs, Chicken, mashed potatoes....... Oh, the food glory......

What's the verdict girl?

Yup, GOOD!

The show was hilarious.... a hooptey, dooptey, rowedy good time!!!

What time is it? Oh, napkin twirlin' time? Yup, my kids love a good napkin twirlin'. (I should institute this at home and save myself several hundred huh? I could sing and dance too.. much to the horrible dismay of my children if I tried. Might be worth it just for the looks on their faces?!)

I'm pretty sure he would divorce me if he knew I posted this picture...

He (gasp!) looks like he's having fun. Shh don't tell anyone!! It will ruin his persona as the non-dis'er in the family!

Then they broke out in to this song..and I got seriously excited... can you guess why?

Aww, h#lls yes... it's sugar time!

Strawberry Shortcake as big as my head. YES PLEASE!!!

Then they did this crazy thing where they handed out musical instruments to each table (always a rather risky move when serving included refillable alcoholic beverages at each table!)......

Oh boy can my kids play a washboard like no one's business......

(Ha, look, he's having fun again!!!!)

And, just like that- it was over! But what fun we had......

Five stars from our crew!!! With kids and hubby alike asking when we can go back!

Back to our hotel & to bed we went........what would the next day bring.. and would we need an ark? (answer...yes!)

ohhhh, hoop dee do! I can't tell if I want to go to this because I hear it's awesome or because I just love saying hoop dee do, but go we must! i'm glad to see another positive review--we're doing this on our September trip for our anniversary. so what if it takes two dining credits, right? the food looks SO GOOD! I was seriously drooling over your pictures. I don't think I knew grown up drinks were included.....you know we'll have to have a couple since it's our anniversary! I was thinking about sitting up in the balcony...do you think the view would be ok up there? I've heard it's fine, but just like to get opinions. it looks like the kids and the pet leaf (isn't it funny what they get attached to?) had a blast and I won't tell DH that I saw him twirling napkins! :rotfl:

It looks like big fun! We've never been to Hoop Dee Do, but that's b/c we LIVE IN Hoop De Do. :lmao: I didn't realize alcohol was involved though, that could possibly change my mind...but I see no cupcakes, so maybe not!

Uh-oh on the ark...break out the ponchos!

I hope you guys like it as much as we did! We really, really loved it!

And the Sangria was really, really good! :)

I think almost any seat would be just fine in there - it's not that big of a venue place! The tables on the balcony near the railing would be the best...but those might be more money- I can't remember how the tiering thing was set up!

Alcohol changes everything!!! AND- that Strawberry Shortcake was delish.

That looks like such a fun family dinner!!

Sangria - I'll second that yes please! ;)

Loved this update.... in fact I am twirling my napkin at home reading this!!

I could go for a Sangria now! Sitting in my cubicle. :)

Have a great Trip next week!!!! Can't wait for the TR!

In honor of the first day of spring.. it snowed today. Thank you for that- because we have not had enough of the world's longest, coldest, snowiest winter ever. Winter, you suck so bad.

All I could say (outside of many, many swears that I can not repeat because DIS will bleep out) was "thank goodness in 2 days I'll be in Arizona". I swear it got me out the door this morning to work. Because I was ready to crawl back in bed and cry.

But alas.. I made here to work. Actually did some work and now feel justified in that fact that I need a break to update my Trip Report.

So we came off a Hoopty Doopty Great Dinner and went to bed, ready to wake up to spend our only day in Animal Kingdom.

What I woke up to instead was massive downpour. Like, I needed an ark to get out the door. I already had two of every animal outside my balcony ready to go too.....

We had plans to meet up with Peter and family again.. but everyone in the family took one look out the door.. .and then one look at me.. and said "oh h#ll no".

So we spent the entire morning doing this.......

I mean, it was KINDA like Animal Kingdom, right? Minus Yeti's. Although if I perhaps had the hubby not shave that morning we could have had the Yeti too.....

Sarah was the only one really wanting to go because she really wanted to meet back up with Peter's daughter... and this was our last chance.. but the steady downpour dictated that not even I was willing to take her alone out in that mess.

"And the rain, rain, rain came down, down, down in rushing rising rivlets" (Quick Quiz, what's that from?)

No Piglets in umbrellas came and saved us.. (that song is from Winne the Pooh in case you are wondering about the random reference). So we watched the radar..and around 11:00 decided to make a go for it........

At first, our plan seemed to work. We thought "Sweet, we doged that rain.........." We were so happy that hubby even agreed to GET A PICTURE TAKEN WITH PHOTOPASS without whining.....

In what turned out to be my FAVORITE picture from the trip. Look at that Char smile! We used this as our Christmas Card Picture.

A closer view of the sweetness of this picture.

And without any bribes or narcotic use that makes people make decisions not normally made- hubby agreed to take this picture as well.......

Miracles can happen.

And Charlie has no freakin' clue what the heck is happening to her right now. She is thinking "Why the eff am I pointing to the ground?"

We walked in & got to Pin trade... which is always a big plus in my kids worlds!

Oh, the day was changing right? For the better.. no rain, right?

Um. No. About two seconds after that last picture. The sky opened up again...

And we ran for cover because we had no ponchos. Because I rocked that planning............

We headed right for here....

The inside of there, that is........

To watch It's Tough to Be A Bug....

Because that's an awesome first ride of the day for Charlie. First we scare the daylights out of her dropping her on an elevator...then giant scary bugs.... PARENT OF THE YEAR AWARD goes to... 'me & DH'. "Thank you, thank you so much.. you love me, you really love me"

Aaaaand... it was still pouring outside. And I was still being a giant pain in the rear about spending $7 each for a poncho when THE RAIN IS LEAVING!!

Finally my mother said "for the love of all that is holy- I will buy you all ponchos, because I love you all".

So I said "Cool. Thanks".

Cutest kids in ponchos.. Ever.

Of course Becca's posing again. She asked me the other day how 'one gets an agent'. Lord help me............

Anyways, good thing Grandma's along. Another reason I didn't sell her to pirates- she bought me and my whole family $7 Mickey Ponchos.

(I couldn't afford them after Hoop De Doo & Ak-a-saurus (distant relative to T-rex))

So we wandered in the rain over to here..

Canoe ride Safari (yup..and spectacularly blurry pics because I brought the small camera and not my good one!)...

Ourselves and our ponchos boarded and set off ot find the ark.......

Look at that hot hubby in a poncho...

Charlie really has no idea what's happening to her now.....

Moi.

The awesomest Poncho buyer in all of the world...

And some blurry animal pictures to bore you with....

Did you know hippos are one of the most dangerous animals on earth? I do because Sarah is obsessed with the worlds most dangerous animals (remember the shark exhibit at Nemo) and quotes off facts to me all the time.....

For a reference, this is also how I"m going to look at Castaway Cay in a few months on my cruise based on my current eating habits...

A tree. Oooh. Ahhh...

This really could be outside my room instead. And I'd have been dryer (but NOT gotten those awesome Christmas Card pics from park entering).

Rhinos..that kinda almost started charging us.. it was a little unnerving....

This was better, however, than our ride in 2011 when we passed one rhino..um... humping.. the other one right next to our safari vehicle.... and having to answer your then 6 & 9 year old's questions on what THAT was. I prefer charging Rhinos to humping Rhinos.. in the scheme of things....

And ANOTHER charging animal that is also not all that friendly....

And the ride ended, as it always does. And it was still raining. And so we decided to run to a late lunch. At Pizzasafari.

I took the oppourtunity to haul out my hidden Mickey book (much to Hubby's dismay) and wander the resturant searching for them. There were a lot in this resturant.

And then.. it was still raining. So we stood in the doorway and pondered life. And then finally decided to head back out and over to the Dino ride for Sarah. This girl LOVES Dinos. (not at all a suprise people).

And those pictures will be in the next update.. probably not for a week or so. Sorry for the cliffhanger. Least it's not really all that suspensful...

Unless you are wondering if an ark really was built and floated down to us...

I can take you out of that misery and just tell you the answer is no.

Have a good, non-snow, filled day!

Y'know, I was totally prepared to feel sorry for you and your weather. I wasn't even going to tell you how I laid in the sun today, I wasn't...but then you mentioned going to Arizona in a mere two days and I stopped feeling so sorry for you!

That is the BEST picture ever! Ahhhh, don't you love that? When you get the perfect shot and you weren't even trying? That's why I just shoot ALL.THE.TIME. in hopes that the perfect shot will come upon me. Yup. It's also why my family runs when the camera comes out b/c I am relentlessly trying to get said shot. :sad2:

Ah rain. We had our fair share this last trip and it helped with lines, but man it was wet...and cold! I vote we stay on the balcony if it rains next February...with drinks...and cupcakes! :rolleyes1

Oh wait, look, again I couldn't stay on topic and ended up talking about next February. Surprised???

Oh and I found you on Pinterest and LOVE all your snarky pins! I want to pin that kind of stuff so bad...but my clients follow me and I'm not sure they would appreciate my snarky. Why can't people just love me for my snarky-sarcasm??? :confused3

Yhea, I guess you can't feel TOO sorry for me since in about 36 hours I'll be in 85 degree weather. I earned this Spring Break dammit- with this winter!!!! I am ever so grateful to my mother for retiring in warmth.....

We won't know what to do with ourselves without family to chase after with our big cameras in February. We'll have like Flat Savannah & Flat Rebecca dolls to pose...... :)

Yhea, I'm good with hanging on the balcony with drinks and cupcakes next year if it rains.

Well now I lead two Girl Scout Troops and many of their mothers follow me on Pinterest and they have yet to pull their children from my troops... so... it might be ok?!?

I am pretty upfront.. I tell people "I'm probably going to offend you at some time with some sarcastic comment... love me anyways" :rotfl:

More importantly, what did you think of my costume choices I posted on there? :)
