(NEW TR LINK) Mickey MMMouse,McDonald Duck& Memo: 12 Days & 13.1 Miles. Nov 2013 TR

Our day will continue & we might just actually make it through lunch here!!

But first the update on the pup. She did pull through and make it. She came home yesterday and while still a little weak- she is recovering nicely. She has some meds for a month and then she should be good to go.

Course the day I get the pup back, the kid comes down with the flu. So I have one kid sick and I'm waiting for the dominos to fall............. which one will be next?!?

BACK TO DISNEY- because that's what this report is all about after all!

We were leaving circus land and into our FP+ Ressie for Enchanted Tales with Belle.

Now THIS was (finally) a good use of my FP+. I admit I had a learning curve on these and I failed on many fronts. Not this one. The stand by line was like 70 minutes. I had heard SO many reviews about this new attraction and all of them raving so I was excited to give it a go.

It turns out, while cute, it really wasn't QUITE what I expected. And though I saw it once, I don't have any desire to waste a future FP+ on it or stand in long lines.

First you are shuffled into Maurice's cottage where you are transported then to Belle's room... with the talking wardrobe.

Volunteers are taken for 'parts'. Sarah and Charlie wanted nothing to do with that. Becca and Peter's DD wanted a lot to do with that. Neither got picked for the bigger parts, but there are parts for all.. so they got small bits.. Becca was a plate....

They moved us into a bigger room for the 'play'

Lumiere starts to tell the story.

Soon Belle joins him...

Two of the girls listen intently.

Then it's their turn for being part of a parade....

And then it was a glorified meet & greet with Belle.

Clearly, Charlie is not impressed with this thing either. And is very glad she didn't wait for 70 minutes.

Wow, I bored myself even writing that... good thing there were a few pictures to break it up.

After that, we still had some time before our lunch reservation and so we decided to hit another ride with Peter and fam.

A favorite of all of ours except the Disney kill-joy (aka- the hubby). He despises the ride- therefore, we ALWAYS ride it at least 10 times. bwahahahaha.

I'm an anglophile- so I choose THIS one to put in my TR- even though- well, it's out of focus.

These screens are new.

I suspect they will soon be emitting probing laser beams towards the happiest cruisers on earth to access all our info out of our Magicbands... wishing us a goodbye by name. And then automatically subtracting a $50 convenience fee to do so.... just a theory.

This ride, my friends, (much to hubby's HORROR) turned out to be little Char's favorite ride all vacation long. She asked constantly to go on the 'yellow ride' (she saw yellow boats.)

Because 'it's a Small World After All....'. I just too a small break to sing it in my hubby's ear.

We had a quick stop at the new Tangled bathrooms. So much hype over bathrooms. (All Disney fans please cover your eyes.. but... the Harry Potter bathrooms with Moaning Myrtle are waaaaay better!)

The details are cute though...

We said our goodbyes to Skier-Pete with plans to meet up later- and headed to our much awaited lunch reservations at the new 'must-do', 'highly-rated' restaurant.. Be Our Guest.

By getting lunch ressies we bypassed a long line...

Smiling because..no line!

Loved the gargoyles...

Past the suits of armor..

And in to order....

Then came the very difficult task of not only ordering but deciding WHAT DESSERTS TO HAVE?!?! After deciding... we headed into find a table and wait for our food.

They gave us a 'rose' but it's all show folks. They pretty much told us they hone in on our Magicbands. Those who think Disney created these for the good of us are sorely mistaken. They created them to be used as tracking devices so if we steer in the wrong direction (away from gift shops) they can shock us like those electric dog collars. Kidding, of course.. .but not on the honing thing- They really did use our Magic Band (and not the rose) to track down our location in the gigantic restaurant.

We set off to explore and wanted 'West Wing'

but it was full..and so we settled for a table in the main ballroom...

Got our drinks (only QS place with fill your own cups!!) and soon our food was here.

I was HIGHLY impressed with the food here. I thought it was VERY, VERY good.

I got the ham and cheese thing...

Kurt got a French Dip

You can see mom's salad over in the corner.

The kids got Turkey I think...

Notice the rose.. still sitting there..unused and abandoned by newer magicband technology.

Then. The best.. oh, the best... Dessert!!!

We got a chocolate éclair, a strawberry cupcake & the lemon meriange.(sp?) You will all be glad to know, that because I'm such a loving, devoted mother... I allowed my children a small bite of them. And then ate all three myself.

I feel only a little guilt because they were SO GOOD. I am putting them through college, that's better than cupcakes, right?

Tummy full with only positive things to say.. I headed to find some Hidden Mickey's and explore the last room...

Outside the 'royal' bathrooms...

I concurred with general Dis-opinion on this restaurant- I really enjoyed the atmosphere, food & experience. I'd give it two thumbs up icons but I'm already at 25 images. So just imagine them.

And so that concludes about 1.5 hours of Beauty and the Beast fun! We had a little time left over before our Peter Pan FP so we rode Small World again before riding.

And finally headed out of Fantasyland for more adventures in the Magic Kingdom.......

Oh yeah, if you are up to 25 images, you are doin' it right! :thumbsup2

We took one of my teenage sons (the one that wasn't smart and didn't refuse) on Small World and he said he wanted to stab pencils in his ears. Great family fun there. ;)

AND, I thought I was going nuts in Walmart yesterday! So we're checking out and I SWEAR I hear It's a Small World playing. I freak and start looking around (while Rey and everyone else in the vicinity looks clueless) and then it stops. I'm like "Did you hear that?!?! It's a Small World! It was playing!" Rey is like, "what are you talking about?" :sad2:

Today I was totally vindicated, I was there again with Savannah and my oldest and I heard it again! This time it was louder and kept going and Dylan hear it too! I'm not crazy!! Well, I don't think. :rotfl2: He said it must have been one of the games up front.

Wow, that was a long story. :p

Where were we? Oh yes, we went to BOG last year before FP's for it and before magicbands! The rose worked well and the food was good. I'm not sure I would use a FP on it, but it was fun to eat there once. I got the ham thingie too (yes, I'm a vegetarian!) they had really nothing for me, so I got it and took the ham off...to Savannah's HORROR. The ham touched it!

Kurt hates, hates, hates that ride. But he rides it every time we drag him on it- so that's how you know it's love. :lovestruc Of course he makes comments through the duration..but the fact that he boards the happiest cruise on earth means something!!! I think he would agree with your son's assessment of wanting to stab pencils in his ears.

You are going Disney cray-cray.. hearing Small World over and over in Wal-Mart. That's the first sign of Disney mental illness, you know.....the only cure is to go back- so good thing you got a trip in the works.

The FP for BOG is in ADDITION to your other FP's. It's a separate system. So we got three FP's and the BOG one. But yhea, eating as a vegetarian would be impossible. I mean, you'd ONLY have to eat desserts. Which, in itself, is not a bad deal.

They use the magicbands? Boo.

We had three different roses (Hubby and I had the QS dining plan, so one for that, then one for using a snack credit, then one for paying cash for a meal for Stormy) and they said it was best to leave the roses until all 3 orders had been delivered.

Plus, what if you didn't use your magicbands for paying/dining plan? How would they do it then?

Oh I had forgotten about the separate FP, that's right. This time we just didn't have the time, but I was not wanting to have Savannah just eat french fries again. She seemed perfectly happy with fries and cupcakes, I guess I shouldn't complain! ;)

We actually didn't use magicbands to pay and we were not on the dining plans. They still scanned the bands on our order to deliver. My mom paid seperatly. They didn't even give her a rose. And we only got one because I made some comment like "don't we get a rose?"

And that's when she said 'you don't really need it, but you can have one if you want'.

I assume the roses DO work if they choose to use them over the magicbands..but the day we were there, they were def. using magicbands instead of roses.

I probably won't go again until I have my girls with me on a longer trip. I know hubby could give or take the place... So that probably puts it out for ToT weekend.... But then again, never say never!!! :)

I wonder if Savannah could get the different fries. :) I know the kids meals had these amazing sweet potato fries (you can kind of see them in the picture of Sarah's meal)...

I had to do enchanted tales too...feel no need to do it again! Cute the first time...but then again awful experience as I practically had some Brazilian old man on my lap because he wanted my seat apparently! Yay for lunch ressies at BOG! Betsy found the magic key for us too! I did feel a little bad walking past that huge line! I really enjoyed lunch...wondering if I really need to eat dinner there because I would be happy with my sandwich and CUPCAKE!!! You are a much better mom than me...I would not have shared! Lol Small world twice...your husband loves you!

What's wrong with fries and cupcakes? Sounds like a great meal to me!

Man oh man, those Brazilian tours really don't represent themselves well- everyone complains of their rudeness......

I don't think I need to pay the extra money for dinner when lunch worked just as well!

And yes, Kurt must love me.. he actaully rode it more than twice... Charlie's got him wrapped around her finger and it was her favorite ride!! :)

I notice you seemed to have the same photography problem with "Storytime with Belle" that I had. It was really dark in there!

I sort of picture that is the type of attraction that is super-popular right now because it is new, but will settle down after a while. While they'll never be no wait because they're will always be little kids wanting to see Belle, I would bet in another year or so it will settle down to a 20-30 minute type wait. Of course if it gets shorter, they might stop working BOTH rooms. (Yup, don't know if you noticed this, but there were really TWO Library rooms going at the same time - or actually alternately. There was only one Maurice's workshop and one bedroom/wardrobe, though.)

Lunch at BoG looked pretty good, but what, no Grey Stuff? :confused3

Yhea, they wanted no flash & it was so dark inside.. even my DSL didn't capture anything good. Oh well...

I see the popularity of this dying down a bit too in the upcoming years. None of my kids really have any huge desire to go back- so I'm fine if I never do it again! I'd rather spend my Fantsyland time elsewhere. Like eating at BOG. Ha!

You know, the Grey Stuff wasn't on the lunch menu anywhere at that time..and I didn't see it as a cupcake either although someone else reported they had one at lunch in October...

It will be for the next time I go. Gotta leave something to look forward to!!

It's called the masters cupcake...so if you did not know it was made with the grey stuff...

Hmmm my first cupcake I showcased!

first--i'm so glad puppy is doing better and home with you! yay!!

we haven't done enchanted tales yet either. I guess it looks fun once, but I don't want to wait in the line, that's for sure! maybe we'll FP it sometime to try it out.

oh, small world....my DH actually loves it and so do the girls. I get that darn song stuck in my head and drive myself nuts the rest of the day!

I can't wait to try BOG for lunch sometime. the dinner was good, but the lunch menu looks so yummy! I found a recipe for the grey stuff online, so if you're needing a fix, you can always make some at home.

With two little girls- Enchanted tales might be a very different experience for you! My Becca would have loved it more a few years younger.. but she was just a tad too old for it.. and Sarah's a tomboy..and Charlie just didn't know what the heck was going on... I wonder..next time you go.. if you make it there- what you think with your two girls... I bet they love it!!

Hmm, recipe for Grey Stuff, huh? I might just have to get that from you? It's an oreo mousse, right?

I need that recipe too! As a practically drown my keyboard with drool!

I snapped this picture coming out of BOG & it should have been in the last update but I hit my 25 image limit.. so it didn't go there.. I like it- it was on the wall of 'the ride that is taking two decades to build' (the Snow White mine ride)....

I like how they worked Lumiere into it.... I guess it's the next best thing to the actual ride, right? (or not.)

Also, should we mention here that Universal has pretty much built an ENTIRE new land (the new Harry Potter land opening this summer) in LESS time it's taken Disney to build this one ride? Why?

Frozen just made four trillion million dollars- perhaps they can funnel some of that money into construction workers?

Anyways, we moved on our way back to meet with SkierPete and family- only my family decided we needed to hit every attraction from here to there (they were in Adventureland) in between.

We did Haunted Mansion..then moved to this ride-

This is Becca's #1 all time favorite ride. She loves it- go figure- considering she likes no other 'thrill' rides.

SELFIE. (you know this because I'm in it!)

How many people can you fit into a seat? Three is the answer if one is under 50 pounds.

Immediately getting off this.. Sarah said we MUST ride this!

Kurt didn't want to get wet- so he bowed out. And Becca and Charlie didn't want to do the drop.. so they bowed out.

That left the three amigos!!

I have such a love/hate with this ride. I think the theming and story are amazing- I adore it. But I really am not a 'get wet' kinda girl on rides. Sarah liked it, that's for sure.

On our way out, Sarah spotted Woody & Jessie. She decided she wanted to wait to meet them. This surprised me seeing how she's not a big fan and she declared Phineus and Ferb too long the day before with 2 people in line. Whatevs...

It started raining on us in line & I thought for sure they would close the line- but they didn't... and none of the other kids wanted to do it... so that just left me & my girl.

Man, I threw the color scheme with my pink shirt!

I think we FINALLY moved towards SkierPete at this point...

We decided to do the Tiki Birds show. This is another give or take for me (I know, Peter- don't hate me.. it's your favorite!). I'll do it, but I don't love it. Kurt doesn't like it. But my kids like it and my mother ADORES it (old memories).

Sarah is getting tired in line......

I think most of my next pictures are taken with my point and shoot due to the rain..and therefore the quality seems to be rather poor. Sorry about that!

We finally moved to Jungle Cruise.. or for a short limited time known as the "Jingle Cruise"

This soft overlay was cute. Some cute Christmas Decorations & new corny jokes with Christmas stuff put in them.

Three Amigos on a boat ride in the middle of the Jungle...

After this ride we were getting dangerously close to our Dinner Reservation time at Fort Wilderness for Hoop Dee Do. Considering the amount of money pre-paid for this- we were not going to be late!!

So we said our goodbyes to Peter with plans to meet in AK the next day.. and headed out of the park.

With a stop at the spitting camel- of course...

And then my kids BEGGED t head up into the Treehouse quickly. We had recently watched this movie together as a family and both the older girls fell in love with it. They dreamed of making their own treehouse & we watched this movie several times before our trip. So this was very exciting to them....

These pics are so blurry I"m slightly ashamed to put in my TR. But it is what it is... we were in a rush & it was raining....

Sarah asked for that picture above- I guess in hopes to recreate in our own suburbia home? I'm unsure....

And just like that- our day at MK was done & we hurried out to the monorail to get over to the parking lot....

Nice hand honey. Goes well with the blurry picture.

Random shots on the monorail that I find hilarious.......

^^^ That one is one for the frame, huh? Hahahaha!

Once to our car, we drove over to Fort Wilderness, parked & had to find an internal bus to the Pioneer Hall where Hoop Dee Do was being held.

It was downpouring at this time. And so the photo op wasn't set up outside.. We kept shelter under the eaves (since they were not letting people in) and got a pressed penny & I got a pin.

And the next update will be my review of this dinner/show.

Right now, I have to feed my children lunch & go attempt my 'grey stuff' recipe for dinner dessert! Happy Sunday!

Yeah, I hate the drop on Splash. Good thing I keep going in Jan/Feb when it's closed! ;) Gimmie a rollercoaster any day over that drop. :p

Your girl has good taste though, Big Thunder is our favorite as well!

Hey, just realized that 7 Dwarfs will be open when we go in 2015! (well, maybe) :rolleyes1 It better be amazeballs for the time it has taken!

I should go work on my own trip report so I can start my PREtrip report! I only have a year after all. ;)

Just stopped by while taking a break from my marathon of sewing and saw that I should post the grey stuff recipe I have! Truth--I haven't tried this yet but it sounds pretty easy and delicious! Let me know if you try it before I do!

Grey stuff!
