There are almost 90,000 DVC owners. Did you ever wonder what your neighbors are like?

This new survey will collect information about you, the DVC people.

Just like with the DVC resorts survey, all responses are anonymous, so please do enter any self-identifying information in any of the comment fields.

This survey will remain open until midnight, March 4th[size=-1].

Special thanks go to Caskbill and Mac_tlc for all their suggestions and help in reviewing and testing the survey.

To take the survey, please go to:

Interesting survey iankh. I have a couple of suggestions:

Under "Ownership and Vacation Patterns" question #7 you should have a "0" (zero) option for number of days at a DVC not at WDW.

Under "DVC Community, who do you go with?" The need to add up to 100% creates problems. For example we go 100% of the time with our kids, about 25% with other relatives and 25% with friends.

Just a couple of thoughts, I hope they help. I loved your first survey and enjoyed reading about the results. Thanks for doing this. Data is our friend.

I agree with HB Cat, other than that, I found this to be an excellent survey. We use survey monkey at work too - excellent tool!

Can't wait to read the results!

Once again thanks for putting this together. I look forward to seeing the results.

Thanks, Ian....you are SOOO cool!!!

Yes I agree with Happy Birthday Cat. When you get this corrected I will fill it out. Otherwise, people will just enter nonsense to get from one page to the next.

another nice survey

as other noted need a "0" option for question #7 as well as question #6, as spme dont spend any nights off site and maybe some dont spend any on site either.

maybe even a ".5" or "every other" for how many times you visit per year(i think question #5)

thanks again for the work

The quesstions regarding "who do you vacation with" are not structured very well, either. If I take a single trip with my spouse, children under 18 AND other relatives, there's no way to answer affirmative to all of those options and still have the total response equal 100%.

Thanks for the input - good input. I have made the changes and added an option for "0" at the per year stays at a WDW and Non-WDW resort. The unfortunate thing is that the responses needed for those two questions were deleted in updating them.

There have been 36 responses so far, so the survey will be off a bit, however, I felt that the argument was compelling enough to make the change.

But there is good news --- if you have already taken the survey, you can able to go back in and edit your responses if you so desire.

Here's the link to the survey again:

Thanks!

I had a problem with the question that asked what percent of the time do you vacation with .......(ie members of family)
I have three children. One just turned 18 so that put him in another category, yet he always comes with us. So I put 80% for children "under 18", but was not permitted to put 80% for my child "over 18". I had to put 0% with him for my totals to add-up to 100%. Other than that, I really enjoyed the survey. Thanks for taking the time to post it.

Good job on the survey, ::yes:: with the exception of the question on "who do you vacation with"?

I think if the following 3 choices could have been added:

1-With spouse and children over 18
2-With spouse and children under 18
3-With spouse and children over/under 18

These choices could have solved the trouble that alot of members are having answering this question. IMHO  "good job"

ok, I re-entered mine so thats one of the 36 you got back

One other thing I noticed(not a big deal im sure people can figure it out). The chart on the seasons under question #3 in vacationing patterns is missing a bit of info. The third choice down "magic season" should be from feb 16th-april 30th(minus easter), not mar 16th. (basically feb 16th - mar 15th is missing

Interesting factoid, after only one day since launch, there have already been about 100 responses to the survey. It's looking quite interesting.

Should it be taking a very long time to download? I couldn't take the first survey, and I no longer get the message to enable cookies, but I'm still not getting the questions.

Bobbiwoz,

The survey should not take long at all to open. It should happen rather quickly.

I have tried both links to the survey and after the question about what state I'm from, it takes me back to the first page. Any advice??

Sorry you're having trouble. Have you taken the survey before, and are editing entries or is this your first time going into it?

I've gone in to look at the survey, and I can't recreate the problem. You might try clearing your cache or any cookies that Survey Monkey might have set.

If you want to, PM me and maybe we can figure this out.

Thanks for all your efforts into making this cool poll!

DVC really has some cool members :)

I agree. We always go with our children under 18, sometimes with our children over 18, sometimes with our relatives(especially grandparents), and sometimes with friends. The results are going to be skewed because of the way this question is designed. Can't wait to see the results.
