Are the twin beds the same as North American doubles?

Sorry, I'm full of questions. I was just curious if the twin beds in most of the Disney hotels here are the same size as our double beds? In the pictures, there's two pillows, so they look like a double? I read in another thread they have the dimensions on their site, but when I clicked on it, it lists regular bed, not twin. Is regular their twin? And if so, why not use the same language??? TIA

From what I recall I'm pretty sure if it's listed as a "twin" it is for one single adult, maybe with a small co-sleeping child, and if it's listed as a "double" it can fit two adults

Yes. Twins, at least at TDR, are like US doubles, which is smaller than a queen.

They are actually smaller. TDR lusts the sizes on the website. Here’s what I have found in inches.

TDR sizes:
Regular/Twin 47.2 x 82.7 x 21.6
Double 70.8 x 82.7 x 21.6
Trundle 39.4 x74.8 x 10.6

US sizes:
Twin 38 x 75
Double 54 x 74
Queen 60 x 80

EDIT: To clarify, their regular is a twin, so smaller than a US regular/double. Their twin is larger than a US twin.

TDL/TDS is still very much a Japanese park. Only about 13% of those visiting are non-Japanese, and therefore only a small percent of that small percent are English speaking/English readers. I just don't think they even know what to put there, as I think European bed sizes are a bit different too...

We've found a Japanese "double" to be smaller than an Australian "double".
