I believe you are correct. We heard that Michigan Avenue and one of our outlets here in Illinois were getting their phone call today. We have another outlet and one more store in a mall here in Illinois, I wouldn't be surprised if they are also getting a call today.

This makes me so sad. I know it is currently still open but I remember going to the original Disney Store at Woodfield. It had the quick service inside of it. My birthday wish when I was younger was to eat there.

I looked up each store individually on the "Stores & Events" link on ShopDisney.

I know I can do that...was just hoping their was a list like they were doing in the beginning.

Don't count on this one staying open. I worked as the last pink and green left at the Chicago Ridge Mall and we just closed this week. Rumor had it that Michigan Ave and Aurora Outlet mall were getting their phone call today regarding closings. If they are closing Michigan Ave, I doubt they will keep anything else open in Ililnois.

Just heard all four remaining stores in Illinois will be closing. What their closing date is I have no clue. Which means Michigan Avenue, Aurora Outlet Mall, Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg and Gurnee Mills Outlet mall will all be closing, Illinois will no longer have a Disney Store.

What is the date of your closure? They gave us 3.5 weeks of liquidation. The first stores only had two weeks. It seems like they are giving the stores a little longer each time.

I think they have been giving out about 4 weeks now because after we closed so quickly, we got some kind of extra $$. Almost like a severence (?) We don't know what it was actually. I mean for part time cast and management. Then we heard it was because we got less than 4 weeks notice (?) Who knows.

It sounds like they are moving all to e-commerce. And as I said before, if they don't close before 9/30, I suspect they will not close until 1/22...I am just really sad to see them all go.

When we got our phone call a few weeks ago that's exactly what they told us, they were concentrating more on their e-commerce. Which is really very sad! For many the stores is the closest they will get to getting to the parks. Ours was the last pink and green standing. We had all the cute figure up on the uppers. The kids LOVED coming in and see all of that. Just breaks my heart!

we got about a month notice. I am just very frustrated because we just hired new cast members 3 weeks ago. That just seemed so unfair to them, they came in thinking they were going to be here a while and boom, losing their job before they had much of a chance to start.
