Yeah we had seen a list somewhere too, this wasn't a closing of the stores, it was more of a slaughter. Just a shame, we have had guests in our store cry because we are closing. That is the stuff that just makes it that much more difficult on the cast in the closing store.

Jonathan posted on FB a few days ago, about pulling the plug on the stores, then quickly deleted it. I have a acreen shot, I took it to share with friends not on FB. It is super strange he pulled it after 5-10 minutes, and the post itself was odd. Considering 25 stores remain.

I was wondering about that. It disappeared before I could read it. I’m not a Disney Store employee but I am sad for all those who lost their jobs.

More stores are closing, I hard of 3 in the remaining 25. Jersey Gardens in NJ is one. I will try to share that post, it is a screenshot. Let me figure it out lol

It is a sweet post, but it is probably something that he has ready to post when the remaining stores close. I have heard more rumors about more stores closing by end of September. At this point it is just a rumor, but I suspect we may see another list come Monday/Tuesday.

My guess is that Disney will halt further closures until after Q1. With about 60ish stores closing in September I would like to think they were finished closing them but that post makes me think otherwise. It also sounds like his job with Disney will be ending which is kinda sad for him.

Makes no sense (to me) to keep any of them, except maybe a couple of outlets but I think all will go except Times Square. Not worth keeping a supply chain to keep stores spread out all over the place, stocked. I expected Jonathan to move over to parks but who knows.
