Disneyland in the Winter/Spring?

We were set to go on our first Disneyland trip in September, but due to changes with my husbands job, that is not possible now.
We are thinking about early in 2026, as the DVC points must be used before April 1st. (I borrowed them into the use year 2025, which is where I assume they stay if we cancel, and April is when we get our new batch of points every year). If you were in this situation, when would you reschedule to? I'm thinking March will be busy with Spring Break, so maybe the last week of February? Or would the first week of March be ok? Would that be good weatherwise?

It is really hard to predict. We were there this year on February 27-March 3rd, and the first day it was 80+ degrees! Over the weekend, it was windy and we had to buy sweatpants for our daughter. But, we had no rain if that helps.

We have gone in early January the last couple years and love it! But there are points where there is less entertainment and some rides will go down for refurbishment. It's very hard to predict since entertainment schedules aren't out very early and refurbs can show up last minute. But the weather has been heavenly. You have to pick your poison. Crowds, weather, ride and entertainment availability.

Besides crowds and weather, what are your priorities?

This is the calendar of events for 2025. 2026 will be similar. The first weekend of Food & Wine is often very busy. It is in DCA but a large percentage of guests have park hoppers so it impacts both parks.

Weather will be a crapshoot then so I wouldn't even take it into consideration. That time of year can just as easily be cold and rainy as hot and sunny.

End of Feb/ early March sounds good to me. Weather should be OK (but who can predict) and that is before the bigger spring break crowds. Do book a weekend night if you want fireworks.

Yes, I was there this year and can definitely attest to that. OP, I would suggest trying to avoid that weekend if possible. I was with my parents (leading the way) and I felt I was playing frogger in real life. It was intense!

We visited March 4-6 this year (2025) and the crowds were very manageable. If I was looking at dates in 2026, I would avoid the first few days of the Food and Wine festival as well as Mondays. As mentioned above, Friday-Sunday will have fireworks. Sundays are typically the best of both worlds, smaller crowds and max entertainment.
