***** New September 2013 Thread *****

Is anyone on here going to do the Wild Africa Trek this September? The $50 discount is so tempting, but I do worry about the heat as it only applies to the tours beginning at 11:45 -3:15. But to save $100 is wonderful.

I was just wondering your thoughts. We have been to WDW many times, however never in September. The months we have NEVER been are January, August, September and October.

Thanks:)

We booked it for 9/25 for the earliest we could. I am worried about the eat though, but we've been wanting to do it for a while.

Thanks for bringing the Africa Trek discount to my attention! It will be the perfect early b-day gift to add to the trip for the DD's. Making my ressie. :cool1:

My hubby has been out of ICU and home for about a week. So I have booked POR Sept 2-8 for our 25th anniversary. I was unable to get 'Ohana rezzies (they did have 930 available but that is too lat for us. so this is our dinner ADR's
Sept 2 Kona 5:45
sept 3 Nacoossee 7:55 Anniversary pixiedust:
Sept 4 Boma 6:05
Sept 5 Coral Reef 7:25
Sept 6 Raglan Rd 6:00
Sept 7 probably cs since we have used all our TS

Would still like 'Ohana so trying for Sept 2 for that. We ate there before but the others are new to us

I hope all is well with your hubby now. Keep trying for the 'Ohana ADR. Hopefully, one will become available with a time that is better for y'all.

I had to cancel our September girls only trip. My mil needs severe dental work done and it takes precedence over a Disney trip. It's sad and I will miss it, but her health is more important.

According to the WDW website Space Mountain is goung under refurb during these dates.... 3-5, 10-12 & 23-26 of september.

[ETA] Nevermind. Apparently it's a mistake on the website..... it's not confirmed as being refurbed. :)

I'm really excited! This will be a slightly unusual trip since it will be my parents, DD Alyysa, and myself. Mynusband and our younger daughter aren't coming...they will be in school. This is a special trip for our older daughter who will be leaving on an 18 month church mission in October, so we wanted to do something special before she leaves.

We will be there Sept 8-13, staying at CS. My parents like CS but this is the first time for me to stay there.

We don't do a lot of ADRs but we have one at Sanaa and my darter really wants O'Hana...which I haven't been able to get yet. But I'll keep trying!

We are excited to see new Fantasyland but I'm a little worried about how that and the FP changes will affect our standard way of touring. I feel like I'm having to relearn all of the touring strategies which I used to have practically memorized! Any suggestions, tips, ideas? :confused3

This will be our first September trip and I'm excited that the crowd predictions are low.

I'm just excited in general!!! :yay:

A great reason to celebrate. Good luck to your daughter.

Sorry to hear that, but on the upside, maybe the Fantasyland expansion will be complete for your next trip! All the best and a speedy recovery to the mil!

Woohoo! That is really exciting. Congrats to DD for making such a bold and selfless choice! :thumbsup2

We most always travel in Sept. and LOVE it. We get to enjoy the Fall decor and MNSSHP and lower crowds are a huge plus! As you can see below, DH usually stays at home and we have the best Mom and DDs trips. Oddly, recently wed DD thinks her DH needs to come join us halfway through this year's trip so he won't be sad. :rolleyes2 We relented.:grouphug:

Our last few trips have been mother/daughter trips -- and my girls and I absolutely love them! We've done three mother/daughter weekend trips (MVMCP and MNSSHP) and I went with my daughter one weekend as a chaperone for a cross country meet at WDW. We have SO much fun on those trips. This coming trip will definitely be a special one and we're really looking forward to it.

We're going in September - taking our kids for their first trip to Disney. They'll be just-turned 6 and 2 1/2. I'm so excited to watch them experience Disney!

My only hesitation is hurricane season, but I'm really hoping that turns out to be a non-issue. We'd originally planned to travel in October to try to avoid it, but couldn't due to DH's work schedule.

We lived in central FL for almost a year just after we were married, so I know it will be HOT still, but I'd rather have hot than hurricanes any day!

How exciting!! We didn't take our DSs until they were 5 & 6 for their first trip, but it was so much fun to see them interact with the characters for the first time.

We are booked for 9/10-9/15 at POR. It will be me, DH, DD17, DS14, DS11, my nephew and his son, age 4--turning 5 on trip.

My DH will be headed to Afghanistan as soon as we return home so this is our "family time" before he leaves.

Woo hoo! DH let me change our reservation to add another day! Now we are checking in on the 22nd :thumbsup2 We had to switch to All Star Music, which is a bummer b/c I had never stayed at Movies before, but it's worth it!

Just booked for Sept 13-18th. Quick babymoon trip. Staying at ASMu. Super excited to be going back to the mouse.

What a great way to spend time together before he leaves! I thank him for his service.
