***** New September 2013 Thread *****

3 months from today we will be back in Disney - a vacation nearly 4 years in the making!

This visit to WDW marks a lot of milestones for us - Youngest DS first trip and his 2nd birthday, first trip to WDW without oldest DD (she's heading to college), AND celebrating 20 years with DH. SOOO excited!!

This visit to WDW marks a lot of milestones for us - Youngest DS first trip and his 2nd birthday, first trip to WDW without oldest DD (she's heading to college), AND celebrating 20 years with DH. SOOO excited!!

We're you able to take advantage of free dining.

OMG OMG OMG!!! We just got back from our beach vacation week and since that countdown is over, my sept WDW is the next countdown I have in my phone...95 days!!! It's under 100!!! Ahhhhh!!! I can't wait, but also I don't want the summer to pass too quickly...it's my favorite time of year with the kids home and lazy pool days...but 95 days!! Woohoo!!

Is anyone on here going to do the Wild Africa Trek this September? The $50 discount is so tempting, but I do worry about the heat as it only applies to the tours beginning at 11:45 -3:15. But to save $100 is wonderful.

I was just wondering your thoughts. We have been to WDW many times, however never in September. The months we have NEVER been are January, August, September and October.

Thanks:)

I went on Wild Africa Trek last year during the first week in September and took advantage of the $50 discount for late morning tours. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also took the early morning tour in Jan 2013 and to be honest the Sep tour was the best. You always take a chance on what animals will be "out".

But the WDW website won't let me! I'm trying to take advantage of the free dining offer, but it keeps saying that any dates, any resorts that I choose are unavailable.

I know they're not, as I called last night and they started to give me prices... but I have a dozen scenarios to go over and price!

Guess I have to call again with my list....

Grrrr!!!!

Hopping onto the thread!:wave2:

Heading back to my favorite place September 12-16th with DH! Celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary a little late this year - We have luckily been able to go every year (sometimes twice!) since 2010, and we love it in the fall! Low crowds, halloween decor!

Hob knobbin' at Beach Club this time - so excited to have EPCOT as my neighbor! Relaxing trip for us this year - I have a plan but lots of pool and people watching time! BOG isn't a priority for us, it's not going anywhere's but I am super excited to see New FL and have a real iced coffee from MSB/Starbucks!!

83 days left!

So excited that we are going back to WDW Sept 11-14!!!! It is going to be a short trip for my b-day. I booked the royal room at POR and am so excited for our first stay on WDW property!!!

76 for us! We are doing one day at AOA, then a 5 day Cruise on the Fantasy. Then we are at ASMo for 9 days.

Ahhhhhhhh FREAKING OUT! My sister and I were joking about going during "Jersey" week in November when she has off from school. We were too antsy to wait around for discounts and SOMEHOW we got our parents to agree to another September trip :cool1:pixiedust:

So beyond excited princess: Free dining and Coronado Springs here I come!

SWEET! Our September community is growing! I wish we had a roll call with dates and resorts at the beginning of the thread. Are any of the original planners still here?

Who is going to MNSSHP and what are you wearing?
We haven't decided if we want to go the Friday 13th (when many people are busy at the free HS Villains party, we think) or the Tuesday 17th which is our last night.

All of us will dress up, but not sure if it will be a coordinated group costume or not. I have worn the same thing for 4 parties and it may be time for a change.

I am still here but had some changes. I'll be there the same time as we had the same option. we decided to go to the bash and go to MNSSHP the 17th. I'm still working on costimes

Back in. Got free dining for almost $500 cheaper at cbr than I had at POR. Decided to go for it. I need a vacation, and 85 days seems like its years away.

So I have been following a thread on tests of the new magicband FP+ system
(see http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3120253 better info toward end of thread)
Rumour is that the full system is set to go live towards the end of this year. Since users have the option of selecting their FP+ attractions 60 days out, it would be exciting to know if Sept. people get contacted for this. Last Sept. we were in a test group using the FP+ with cards not magicbands and I loved it even though it was restricted to 1 day's selection at MK.

Bought flights to MCO yesterday for morning arrival with United, still holding out for a super sale from SW for returns. The last 2 years in August, they have offered limited flights at just $70 from Austin for our travel dates. fingers crossed!

My husband and I are going 9/11-9/19 for our 20th anniversary! It is actually 8/28 but we can wait to celebrate. We had originally had a camping trip planned but when I found out I could get 2 roundtrip tickets on Southwest for 64.00 total (I used some points I had saved) and Free dining we changed to Disney! So excited! Now if I can just get a reservation at Be our Guest!

Punched in the last gift cards to pay off our balance for Poly on Sept 22. Possibly the worst thing to do, because now it feels so close, but it's still 90 days out!

Got antsy about not being at WDW yet, so I decided to change our arrival night from Pop to Coronado. When you've paid up the whole thing in full, what's another $60, right? ::yes::
