***** New September 2013 Thread *****

It does seem really early. Did that person confirm that luggage tags were included and coupon booklet? or was it the invoice that they send out shortly after you book?

Seems to me that we usually receive the big packet 3-4 weeks before travel.
But any mickey mail makes me smile!:thumbsup2

They posted a pic and said she verified tha dates.

We're arriving on the 14th but apparently this is not the big package everyone else was talking about.

100 days from our Disney World trip! :cool1:

We are going Sept 8th-14th. It will be my 1st visit in 22 years, my wife's 1st visit in 15+ years and our son's first visit (he will be 4). My wife's birthday is on wed of our trip so that is an added bonus! We are also going with my mom and stepdad who will be able to watch our son while we spend her birthday evening together at the park.

Already booked and paid for. We are going to MNSSHP on Tues the 10th and are now planning on spending Fri the 13th at HS for Villains Day!

We got free MP and booked our ADRs already. Only doing Mickey's Breakfast Buffet for all of us and the Fantasmic Fireworks package for her birthday. My son is a picky eater and not a "sitdown" kind of kid so we are fine with only those.

I'd say we're moderate planners as we're blocking out days but not setting things up by the hour or anything.

Enough of the backstory, ON TO THE QUESTIONS! :stir:

We are looking at PP+, a lot of articles seem to have mixed reviews on it but we are considering spending our DP savings partially on PP+. Any experiences with it positive or negative? Does it include WDW Racetrack? (see below)

We plan on surprising my stepdad with an exotics racing package for his birthday as I've been talking about wanting to do it since we started thinking about going to WDW. We plan on doing it the same day and time. Any experiences with it? Everything I've seen so far as seemed positive.

We're looking for little things to make the trip extra special for our son, any suggestions? We've been reading the articles so we know about some of the little things like they key at Muppetvision 3D etc and we plan to trade pins as an extra distraction for waiting for potty breaks etc...

Oh and we are definately dressing up for MNSSHP, the plan (for now) is we're all going as different marvel superheroes.

Thanks and we're super excited for our trip :woohoo:

Hi Chubby! According to allears.net the following attractions are included in the pp+ "Participating attractions at the Walt Disney World Resort: Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Rock 'n Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, Expedition Everest, DINOSAUR and Test Track." It also covers, "Participating Character Dining Locations: 1900 Park Fare; 'Ohana (breakfast only); Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show; Chef Mickey’s; Cinderella’s Royal Table; Tusker House (breakfast only); Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue; and Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall."

We don't do coasters or scary rides and Akershus photo comes with the booking so it wasn't worth it for us.

Hope you have a great vacation.

Well, I'm joining the September club for now. With the ticket increase, I went ahead and booked... pixiedust:, but we may have to cancel later. :( We just aren't sure yet. So normally I'd be all , but instead I'm all :worried: and :confused3.....:)

Anybody want a laugh at my expense?

So I'm reading this thread and I'm SO frustrated that I haven't received my Mickey Mail. This morning I happened to call in a payment and the CM asked if I made my flight arrangements yet and I said yes. I thought she was just killing time while my card processed. Then it dawned on me. I've had my flight booked for months and never called them with the flight info. Which is why I wouldn't possibly have gotten Mickey Mail. Oops!!!

Not laughing, I understand your anticipation!
It is not normal to receive your mickey mail that contains luggage keys and coupon book earlier than 4 to 5 weeks before your trip. (we have received it with only 2 weeks to spare one time) Other mickey mail may come with a booklet about your resort and other enticing activities, but you don't need to have your flight info complete for that one either.

Will these pins still be around towards the end of September for purchase?

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

From what I understand and others in the past, these pins are exclusive to the event and "might" show up in retail if there is a huge surplus. I imagine they also go on ebay for big bucks.

I purchased one for our trip this past February for Princess Half-marathon weekend. It took some convincing from my sister, but I'm glad I did. It was my toddler son's first trip, so there were no ride photos, but we did eat at Chef Mickeys. We received those photos in hand and they were on the disc. We also made it a point to take pics every time there was a Photo Pass Photographer. We even found a couple who were a little bored and they took quite a few pics of us. I guess it depends on your ADRs and if you will have a jam packed schedule and can't really stop for the photographers.

Aww! I'm not laughing. How can I? I panicked when I couldn't remember booking MNSSHP. That might be because they haven't released dates yet! :rotfl:

We are going to MNSSHP for the first time this September! We are going from the 10-21st and can't wait! 96 more days :cheer2:

Is anyone on here going to do the Wild Africa Trek this September? The $50 discount is so tempting, but I do worry about the heat as it only applies to the tours beginning at 11:45 -3:15. But to save $100 is wonderful.

I was just wondering your thoughts. We have been to WDW many times, however never in September. The months we have NEVER been are January, August, September and October.

Thanks:)
