So Mary what's the special at Mickey D's this week?:confused3:drinking1

OK...I just wanted to get post #2222. See y'all later!!:thumbsup2

WOW i am glad to see the thread has gotten off it's butt and moved again! For awhile there it was just crawling along at a snail's pace. But sure it has to all happen when i am not around here. I am doing my best to try and do things for myself these days since i have neglected that for so long. Taking care of Emily this past year has aged me. She seems to be settling in a bit FINALLY, this past week i have only gotten THREE calls a day instead of about 6. Most of them are not even sob fests which is good cause after those calls i feel like such an ogre for sending her away.

My vote goes for taking the train (love train rides) -- seems to me the price is great-- and spending as a long as possible in the house of the mouse. Even a short holiday is fun, when i went 2 years ago i was afraid it would be just a tease but it still filled up that "hole" Just requires some incredible planning to make sure you get to do things that are most important to you.

Gotta run John is working from home today and we are going out for COFFEE. yippee a mid-day date even :cool1:

Hey Stranger! Good to see that things seem to be looking up for Em and therefore for you! A coffee date!:woohoo:

Right back at you PD. I truly feel like a stranger around these parts -- seems to me I only type when things are going poorly -- and then even only once i am "up" enough to get the energy to do that. You all must get scared to read the purple posts for fear it will be another whine fest. Sorry bout that but it just seems i have no other outlet at times, i know i will be accepted here and that is a great feeling.

I am in the middle of baking a cake -- sure no biggie right? This is gonna be a special one though. Icing it in pink with two-toned pink edging and a BRIGHT pink ribbon on the top for Breast Cancer month. My mom is having a BBQ at her store on Saturday (she owns a "frozen boxed meat" kinda store) with the proceeds going to Breast Cancer Research. She asked if I would do one of my special cakes for her to raffle off and I said SURE -- why do I get myself into these things. Good idea at the time but once again I have overextended myself and i am trying to fit it in between other things :headache: Have to ice it tomorrow between doc appts for Em!!

Hi everyone.. Been busy here as usual. Trying to get mike packed up to ship him out to vegas.

Just a weekend full of hockey coming up. I know thats a shocker for you guys.. :lmao:

Have a good evening everyone!!

:thumbsup2 :lmao: :lmao:

I know, I think the boys would be the most happy w/ WDW - maybe mom too.... I just feel like I ought to expose them to something else ....right??

Have you ever been to Hershey PArk? I think it was Kel and T that said ti wasnt so great? But, maybe just for a short trip.... Since its Halloween weekend they have some special activities.... Wonder if WDW has set the bar too high for other parks though?
We love Hershey..Sure, Disney is better, but Hershey is the cleanest/most friendly of the parks around here. i'm not sure I would drive as far as you would be to go, though...aren't Busch Gardens and Kings Domimion much closer? As for hotels..there's a nice Comfort Inn about 5 min. away...indoor pool, great breakfast included, and much cheaper that Hotel Hershey and Hershey Lodge.
And friendlier too! :thumbsup2 We thought that last week in Philly, it wasn't that anyone was RUDE (except the shuttle driver that didn't come to get us for 2 hours and then got all snippy), but they weren't going out of their way to be helpful like they were at Disney, either.
Well...welcome th Philly....I can't wait toll the day I can move down south where people are nicer
I can think of a few places you can go :teeth:
:lmao: :lmao:
:scared1: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I didn;t know they have a countdown....I must have een too scared from the very beginning. I don;t even remeber that....but just thinking about the ride I am feeling a little:sick:

You know, my sister sent me a special smiley today in an e-mail. It would get me points on this board...but ummm yeah I think you know what I'm thinking. As my DDs say "birds are flying"!:rotfl:
UmmmYou know where you CAN share it;)

Jaqueline...glad things are a little better with Em. I love coffee dates with my hubby. He usually just drives to my work and comes in and visits with a cup of coffee a couple times of week. Never really thought how lucky I am until I just read your post.

It is really super of you to bake a cake for your mom and for such a great cause. I know it all can be stressful, but hang in there kiddo!
