Update: Em STILL hasn't seen a doctor and the 3 of us are getting very discouraged. i wish we had brought her to the hospital in our city instead of the one where her school is. Oh the guilt i am carrying right now.

Thanks. So far, I haven't been starving when I eat what they say when they say. It is high protein and high fiber, so you really don't feel too hungry. Today, I had to wait too long for my food, though, so I was really ready to dive into dinner when I got home.

I'm so up for that. I've got my plaid skirt and riding crop all ready!

Good news in our house. Brandon was nominated and found out he won -- he was elected onto our parish council board. He's the youngest ever to serve on the committee. His first meeting is 11/3. He received 122 votes-- so many people were coming up to him to tell him they voted for him.

How do you know how much a water buffalo eats at dinner? Did they go over that while you were staying an AKL? Or did you do that? so confuzzled!!

The water buffalo at AKL were wimps - the bears out ate them everynight!

Good news in our house. Brandon was nominated and found out he won -- he was elected onto our parish council board. He's the youngest ever to serve on the committee. His first meeting is 11/3. He received 122 votes-- so many people were coming up to him to tell him they voted for him.

Woot! Hurray for Rev. Muscles! Good experience for when he becomes pastor.

I'm praying for Em over here. Let go of the guilt. We do the best we can and then we have to not second-guess ourselves.

Yippie for Reverend Muscles...that reminds me of a friend telling me the story of her being on a treadmill at her gym and looking at the treadmill next to her only to find it occupied by her parish priest in short shorts! SHe says she was scarred for life.

OK....so last night when the Phillies won, Chris says he saw one of the players with a Mickey Phillies sign. I yelled out "The Phillies won the World Series, We're going to Disney World!!!" Brian yells out YES!!!!

Jacqueline-- I agree with Danielle, you're doing the best you can. Maybe you can work with some relaxation techniques with Em. For Muscles it was simply "counting to 10 while taking deep breaths to let the oxygen into his brain to help him be able to figure out how to get out of his situation." Sounds easy peasy, but it took a long time to get him to that point. He still has lots of anxiety, but feels more able to control it. Maybe that and an ipod can give her a good 10 minutes at a time to get in control.

Morning everyone. Happy Friday, Happy Haunting day!

Got some news on Emily. She is finally going to be transferred to a hospital in our city instead of the one where she is now (it is a 35 minute drive) I will be able to drive myself to see her since it is only about 10 minutes away -- DUCKY hates driving. She will be entering a program for anxiety/depression and other issues she is dealing with at the moment. Thanks for all the well wishes & prayers ... i guess it really did help!!!

She has a weekend pass that starts at 4 today so I need to go buy a pumpkin for her to carve, she loves to do it and was upset that she wouldn't get to do it this year. I also need to buy food to make her favourite meals so she feels comfy in her tummy

Don't feel quilty. That was the best for that moment. And since she hasn't seen a doc yet, can you get her released or transfered to your city hospital?

I hope you all had a great weekend and a fun halloween. My boys had a blast at the parade, and then we all went trick or treating too. We have enough candy to last a year.
