Danielle,

I would be so MAD, and worried too. That is just absolutely awful! Good for you for sticking to the Nutrisystem, though!

We do cookie decorating in kindergarten, and we give each child a little serving cup with frosting (about 2 tbsp) and a little cup w/sprinkles, and a plastic knife or a popsicle stick. It keep s the mess to a minimum.
NOW I see this. The girls did great , but the BOYS!!!!:scared1: They started flinging frosting at each other.
Yes, you all could, but only if I got to be QOTU, just for the duration of the trip. I'm a total control freak at WDW, because of the cost of getting there. Now, if it was DL, your wish is my command. I can always sneak back later.
Lol! I am the opposite, If I ever make it to DL again, I would want you to be my personal tour guide...you know much better t han I ever would about what to see in what order, what food is best, etc. Of course, there are a few attractions t hat aren't at WDW that are a must-do. But then again, you know best what order to hit those in too.

I do probably take a similar attitude at WDW that you do at DL...at WDW I know if I don't get to everything, I can hit it next time, but DL would be a one time thing, so I'd want to go much more commando and see as much as possible.
OK, everyone knows I come here to vent, so let me just say, "I picked the wrong week to give up sniffing glue!"

Brian and I agreed last week that we are going to do Nutrisystem for 3 months. We both need to lose 20 lbs, but we have many minor bad habits that add up to the weight not coming off. The food is a little expensive, but we decided the control would help us to take off the weight and hit the reset button on how we eat. The food came mid-week, and we agreed that it would be easier to start on Saturday, when we had time to look at what we were doing.

So far, so good, right? I go to bed around 11 Friday night, only to have the phone ring at 11:40. My mother has a live-in caregiver due to multiple health problems. The caregiver calls and tells me to get over there, because she is leaving. No explanation, no nothing. I grab a set of clean clothes, pull on my robe and slippers, grab the morning food from my Nutrisystem carton, and zip over there.

The house was an incredible mess. We could report the caregiver for elder abuse, because the house was a health hazard. Rotten food left on the stove, in the fridge, soiled Depends left on the floor, dirty dishes and half-drunk water bottles everywhere! To top it off, mom got sick to her stomach, either from the stress or food poisoning, so when I wasn't cleaning the other messes, I had to do 8 loads of laundry and bathe my mother repeatedly as well as clean up the cr@p that got everywhere.

Anyways, I have kept to the Nutrisystem. (yay me!) In a way, it's a blessing, because heaven knows what I would be eating if I hadn't already laid out the money for this (donuts and cheeseburgers come to mind). I found an agency to send a certified nursing assistant for this week, and then Mom is going to "test-drive" an assisted living facility. Please all send pixie dust that the facility works out for her.

OK, vent over. Sorry for the TMI, but I just had to have my pity party.
 So sorry to hear about your Mom!!!
I hope this week goes much better. Congrats on the nutrisysetm. Our friends did just what you and Brian are...they tried NS foe 2 months to get used to eating that way, and now are doing it on t heir own, which is much cheaper, but Nutrisystem taught them about what foods to eat, how much, etc. Now it is easy for them to choose the right foods to continue to lose. Good luck!
ya know...it took me about 15 minutes to figure out who 3leafs is.

Blonde Moment???:lmao:

Oh Danielle that is awful! How could one human treat another like that? You must be beside yourself with all kinds of feelings -- i can only imagine the thoughts you must have! I am proud of you for sticking with you plan to lose some weight, it is a hard job when things are running smoothly, add stress and it becomes incredibly harder to maintain the "oomph" to push on.

Lots of hugs and best wishes for all of you!

I'm so sorry to read about your mom. I will send all of my good thoughts taht the assited living works out to everyones liking. I know several people who've recently put a family member in one and they've all been quite happy. My mom is looking to move to an elderly-type facility - though, not assited living yet. It's always a big move...so good luck.

Good luck w/ the nutri-system too.:thumbsup2 DO you find you're hungry a lot - I always think I'd be so hungry on one of those plans. When I eat a 'lean cusine' for lunch I end up eating a enough for a water buffalo at dinner.:sad2:

I am so commando at WDW. I finally abandoned my family for part of the last trip, or maybe they left me, but I had some things I wanted to do that nobody else was up for. I wasn't going home without seeing Wishes.

Thanks. :flower3: The lady staying with her this week is very nice, and a dynamo at cleaning. My sister and I spent the day running mom around to the doctor, the bank, etc. We had a lot of laughs between getting things done. The hardest part was eating a yogurt while my mom ate a pizza and my sister ate a big sandwich. I did feel virtuous, though.

Thanks. :flower3: So far, I haven't been starving when I eat what they say when they say. It is high protein and high fiber, so you really don't feel too hungry. Today, I had to wait too long for my food, though, so I was really ready to dive into dinner when I got home.

I know....I am very relaxed at WDW - almost too much so. I figure we';; be back soon....

I'm so up for that. I've got my plaid skirt and riding crop all ready!

Look at my ticker!!! I year, I month & 1 day -- what a treat on a day that has spun into the toilet.

Brief reasoning? Didn't get home till 1:30 after a very scary trip to see my poor lil girl. Lots of prayers seem to have gone unanswered and I am feeling so alone and frightened FOR her.

thanks PD -- it helps to know we have peeps in our corner pulling for her. I have been trying for over an hour to get thru to the unit at the hospital but i guess they are all on lunch :headache: I promised her i would speak to her this am and now it will look like i have broken that promise :sad1:

Well, I hate to tell you that I think you might need a Bear sized lean cuisine...I think the human portion might be a little too small for bears. And we don't want our Limey bear to get too hungry, in case WE might look like a good meal:lmao:

Danielle-- So very sorry about your mom. You should've definitly reported that person, because the next person she takes care of might not be as lucky as your mom. Wtg, for you and Brian-- hope WS works well for you. I want you to be my tour guide for DW and DL.

Jacqueline-- So sorry about Em! Hope things get better soon.

Heather-- Glad the party went well-- you should've called PD she would've come over.

Good news in our house. Brandon was nominated and found out he won -- he was elected onto our parish council board. He's the youngest ever to serve on the committee. His first meeting is 11/3. He received 122 votes-- so many people were coming up to him to tell him they voted for him.
