BELATED B-DAY KRISTI!

that's what happens when you miss a day or two here

Just got off the phone with Central Reservation ... what a pain that was. They have an automated answering machine now and boy is she annoying! By the time you get thru to a CM you have told her everything short of what size your undies are!! FINALLY i got to talk to the most hilarious CM i have ever spoken to -- she also agrees that the new service is annoying and a waste of time -- i am dreading how long it will take to get thru for my ADR's when i want some of the harder to snag ones :headache:

Long story short? I changed our resort from the POR to the Caribbean Beach since i realized we will be there the same time as the Pop Warner cheerleaders will be and i don't really want to share the resort with them!

Hi, Jacqueline, and thanks! Wow, what a pain to have to go through, just to get to a real person!! But glad to hear you were able to get your changes made. I thought the Pop Warner folks stayed at All Stars??? I would prefer not to be near them either if possible...

just stoping by to say hi
so
HI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Hullo all!

I have been on Itunes for three hours listening to the same two songs over and over again. Sad, right?
However, they are dance songs so I've got a lot of practice to do. A lot.

Happy Tuesday, one day closer to Friday.

Cool! I'd love to try CBR....I know it's gotten some less than stellar reviews, but I would love the tropical feel. And anything is better than dealing with oodles and oodles of cheerleadeers.

Many stay at All-Stars, but POR is used for "overflow" or those who would prefer a Moderate...I think many also choose it b/c you can do 5 to a room in some rooms, which would probably work out to less Per person than All-Stars.

Hi Allie!!!
Happy Wednesday Now!!

Ok...does anyone know a gift wrapping, goodie bag making, baking fairy???

Martina's Birthday is in 2 days and I have not wrapped a single gift. I have all of the stuff for her goodie bags for her party in bags in my office, but have to put everything together. I also need to make cupcakes for her party as well as for her to take to school on Friday:headache:

I think I procrastinated just a little:rolleyes1

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIZZY!!!

Tell Rick That I am pretty darned frightened that he would know such information....and that the only good episode of any star trek from any of their incarnations was "the Trouble with Tribbles" That was a wonderful episode and all the rest were just pathetic!:rotfl: :rotfl:
:thumbsup2

I am so with you on that one Danielle. I commented about that one too. Tons of requirements with no funding... this means other worthy programs get cut! I also think teachers are forced to spend too much time teaching the students how to take particular mandated tests rather than actually teaching the kids the material so that they know and unserstand it after the test is over! Drives me absolutely crazy!
I hear you. The juniors in Muscles school take a whole year class on passing the SATs!?!?! :confused3

Howdy!

Hope all the ones that were sick or have sick family members are all feeling better.

Happy Birthday wishes to Kristi, Kat, and LizzY! Hope you all had/have great birthdays!

VA-- Hope the bite is ok. Whatever you do stay out of MD, its still brown bear hunting season here.......course I'm not sure how they feel about lime green ones. :confused3

Jacqueline-- Glad Em's settling in better.

Happy Hump Day all! :woohoo:

HI all! Just trying to catch up! Yesterday was LizzY's birthday, she turned 17. (How the heck did this happen? ) Before you know it she will have caught up with DU! She says thank you for the birthday wishes BTW!

Winnie had surgery yesterday. You might remember that she tore her meniscus last April during track. SHe went thorugh all of the PT and had a second MRI which showed that everything had healed perfectly! So anyway, despite this she was still having alot of pain and swelling especially when she was really active (like soccer practice). They ran about a zillion tests on her ....lyme, rheumatism and goodness only remembers what else, everything came back negative. The doctor told her he hated to do it but he had to get back inside that knee to see what was going on, because a strong, helathy 14 year old girl should not be having these problems. He was hoping that one of the fasteners had come undone and was floating around, causing the irratation. Well it turns out that at some point she retore her meniscus. During the MRI it was just sitting in a closed position so looked totally healed. So over the course of the past few months the tear opened up a bit (luckily still only a minor tear). So he rerepaired the meniscus and he'll be taking it much slower this time. He was soooo upset. He said her pain must have been horrible these past few months. (But whenever we go to see him, she says it's only about a 2 on a scale of 1 - 10, so we all looked at it as discomfort, rather than real pain) She now says "well it really, really, hurt but I wanted to keep playing soccer!"

Last time he was pretty agressive with her treatment because she is an athlete and in such great shape....that kid is STRONG! Also she was really doing things in PT much sooner than they expected. Well now he is taking things very slowly. She is not started PT until the 17th (last time she started about 10 days post surgery). She is going to have to miss indoor track season, as that starts on the 10th of November. Dr. said when she woke up after surgery she smiled at him, said "hi" and then asked "when can I get back to playing sports?' The doctor really looked devasted when he told us this. I really think that Winnie is his favorite patient! He was so upset.

She is looking forward to PT as she Loves her physical therapist and his assistant. They really do have a great relationship!

Tomorrow is Tink's birthday. She will be 13...yup 3 teenage girls in the house at once! Her big plan was to get home from school, go to build a bear (an hour away from us), come back home, go out to dinner, and then go see HSM3 with her sister and NSalz's girls. We explained that there is not enough time in the day for that! SO she wil be going to HSM with the girls and if we can get early enough tickets we can then go to dinner. I'm going to try to get tickets later as I'm sure the movies will be mobbed tomorrow!

Hey 3Leafs...ya keeping this all straight?:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm sure it will! We are going tomorrow @ 7 too..joining the crazy people. Catie is spending the night with her best friend, so we were gonna take just Meag and then she invited a friend to spend the night at our house, so now it is Rick and I with the 2 10 year olds. Should be fun!

Happy Belated Birthday, LizzY
Walmart makes pretty good cupcakes, Heather! can't help ya with the rest though...
Unfortunately, no Superwalmarts around here....I'm actually baking the cupcakes, cause one of the activities for the party is decorate your own cupcake, so i just need to make the cupcakes and the icing, but don't have to make it all pretty.

Actually....you all can help with advice....I am making some choc. and some yellow cupcakes, along with Choc. and vanilla icing. I was going to NOT put the icing on the cupcakes, and let each child choose what they want and ice it themselves and then decorate with all kinds of goodies. Now I'm thinking maybe I should go ahead and ice them to save time and mess. What do you all think...most kids are 4 and 5. I know Martina can handle icing a cupcake, but she's really into that stuff. What do you Peeps think?
:thumbsup2 We got our older cubs cupcakes at Sams Club last year and everyone went nuts over them! And you got a TON in the order.

Happy B-day to her!!!!:goodvibes
Thanks!!! She's been "milking it" all week already!
I'm beginning to feel deprived...No Sam's club here either.

 :grouphug: I didn't know she had to have surgery again!!! That's too bad....hopefully it will heal correctly this time. She definately loves her sports if she hid the pain that much:grouphug:

Happy Early Birthday to Tink!!!

I'm a little more relaxed today...I got the presents wrapped, and goodie bags are mostly together. I wound up ordering a cake for her class for tomorrow, so now it's just down to making the cupcakes after work tonight.

And major cleaning, cause My BIL is spending the night Sat.

Martina wants to see HSM3 tomorrow too...we asked her where she wanted to go for her Birthday dinner, a nd she said "McDonalds, so we can go see HSM after!! We keep trying to get her to wait a week or 2 for the movie, so we'll see who wins that battle :rolleyes1

You're in the same boat as we are. Normally I'd tell TInk to wait....but it's her birthday!

QOTU--OMG, poor Winnie! :grouphug: I think she's trying to rival dh for the most injuries and/or surgeries! :rolleyes1 Happy early Birthday to Tink!

Heather--Happy Birthday to Martina too! Let the kids have some fun and icing the cupcakes themselves! (Of course I don't have to deal with the mess!)

The drivein is showing HSM3, Bev Hills Chihuahua, and the Shia Lebeouf movie that is out, so we'll probably be there sometime this weekend. :hippie:

Oh my goodness lots of Birthdays that i seem to have overlooked  hope everyone of you (and your kids) get to do whatever makes you happy!

Sorry about the surgery! She must have been in incredible pain to need surgery -- wonder why she just pushed through it --- i know i know she wanted to play her sports but she musta been dying

Seem like my excitment over emily may have been premature. We had to fly in for a dinner on Tuesday since she phoned in tears and wanted to come home. In retrospect we should have just grabbed her and ran since we needed to go bring her home the next day anyway. She had to deal with 2 of the 4 roomies bing so drunk that alcohol poisoning was a question in everyone's minds. Then a knock-down drag out fight between her and one of them became extremely ugly and she was accussed of numerous things that would be hurtful to someone who is stable! John has just taken her back for a meeting with the residence life worker and her DON to see if something can be worked out even if it means moving to another room. The other posibility is her dropping out of school for good. Please cross your fingees that she stay in school and finds a way to make the living situation bearable.

Nice a drive-in still we would freeze various parts of our bodies off if the darn thing was still open! :rotfl2:
