One more thing I was wondering ...

If you were to go out to eat for a special occasion, where would you choose? It can be local or regional.

Lime is looking pretty good! :thumbsup2
:thumbsup2

I'm so glad Catie is ok -poor thing. I think I am getting sick - SO many kids are sick in one school system near here they are closing the whole school tomorrow. When I left work today, I told them I might not be in tomorrow - hate to do it so soon after starting, but....I feel like you described Catie feeling (tired, achy, head-ache, sore throat, chills, etc...) Bleh. Cole was like this and missed one day of school last week - hope mine is gone as fast... And take care of yourself, you dont want to catch it from her, like I guess did. This was supposed to be my night to go to the gym and shop....now Im in bed Dising and drinking tea.
Hang in there...I'm with you there...Chris is finally feeling better, but I'm just worn out from working and taking care of him..now I feel it coming on...i'm hoping a good night's sleep will help...I think he will be able to sleep tonight so hopefully I can too.
I am still trying to figure out how I can be this tired after doing nothing but take care of Catie today...
cause kids can so.... wear you out!!
I clipped this and put it on the white board in the staff room:

Glad it's not to serious. I took Tink to the doctor yesterday too, she also has strep. So we have amoxicillan too!

In the morning she told me she didn't feel good. Of course she tells me that every morning! SO I said "tough your going to school." She said " I feel like I have to throw up" I said "so go throw up". A few minutes later she told me she had thrown up. I really didn;t believe her so told her. "good you got that over with now go get dressed for school" Fast forward to 11:00. I'm on the phone with a client and Tink calls for me to get her from school because she is sick. I went into cray mommy mode. TOld her I'll be there, but I'm finishing some stuff up here first. Basically let her know I thought she was faking and not making my life any easier. SO I get off the phone and decide I'll make a doctor's appointment for her. SHe hates the doctor so this was a form of punishment. SO I pick her up and tell her we're going to the doctor. SHe says "no I'll stay in school." I say nope your sick your going to the doctor. So we go to the doctor. She gives the strep test and it's positive. We get in the car and were on the way to the pharmacy and Tink perked right up. I said "how can you be so much better already? You haven't even had the medicine yet." Her reply "Mommy guilt is the best medicine":rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I guess she told you!
Hope she's feeling better soon too!

Things go as normal here. Just getting past an Indian summer type time. We almost hit 90 one day this week. Now 60 and rainy, perfect for sleeping through the weekend! (I so wish;)

Jeff has hit some bumps in his schooling, but hopefully will either quit fighting it and move on or not sure what will happen. His self contained teacher is doing so much! I think I mentioned he is in inclusion class for Science & Social studies. He also got a reading teacher and help for the first time since he went into Special ed( first grade). Not that others didn't try, but not much more than letting him got to another ED class for reading basics. And all this without the paperwork fight... at least so far!

Krista is doing ok, but I sure wish she was at Jeff's school. I don't think she is excelling as well as last year, but her grades are still up at progress report time. She's very whiney lately and that pushes me over the hill! I think both kids aren't getting much positive reaction from their dad lately. He is still struggling with all his stuff, bleah!

We are finally getting medical insurance!!! Man I hope it is what they say. It will start 11/1. So hard not having any (since Jan 1.). I have a list of appointments to make after it is all confirmed. That has been the biggest drain on the budget with meds costing over $1500 a month for the 3 of them. And they started adding the cost of Bill's 6 psych meds to that this month. big Ouch!!

Otherwise pretty same-o here for us. Hope all is great out there and that Bear gets her office with just the amount of lime it needs!

Stay well, get your flu shot if you can and I'll pop in again soon!
Hang in there....that's good news about the insurance though!!
One more thing I was wondering ...

If you were to go out to eat for a special occasion, where would you choose? It can be local or regional.

Locally, The Bay Pony Inn...It's a small inn that has one room of seating in an old train dining car...and they have a GREAT, INEXPENSIVE Early Bird Menu.

Anywhere.....I'd be happy with Anyplace in WDW.

 We went to the pumpkin patch today, and it was not quite 90 degrees. I think I have a little exposure, because I keep having these sweats followed by chills. I'm going in tomorrow for a cholesterol screening, followed by my flu shot. I have to look now for the rules about the screening. Hope I didn't blow it.

Hope Tink is feeling better. Mommy guilt- ha ha ha!

Hmmmmm....I'd have to go with the California Grill during the fireworks....a big dream of mine!

Well, I hope you got rest and didnt get sick - seems a lot of us are sick....

I ended up going to the doctor yesterday too. I normaly wouldn't go so early for flu-like symptoms, even very bad ones ( they got dramatically worse after writing on here Thurs pm...) I had a bite on my ankle that had gotten infected, and I didnt think much of it...but, DH convinced me to go after we looked at some on-line info on Brown Recluse spider bites (my co-worker had killed a big brown spider in my office on Wednesday.....I'm starting to think that place is jinxed.) Anyway, the doc put my on some strong antibiotics and took a sample of the bite area for analysis - throat culture too, no strep. They worry with this sort of boo-boo that it could be AB resistant...(MRSR :scared1: ).....just what we all need in our lives, more stress. Lordy, how I would love a year of just being totally healthy....:sad2: Anyway, the culture would be back fro 3-5 days....bleh. Meanwhile the AB's have helped a lot.:yay:

:scared1: ....hope you just overdid it - dont you get sick too.:sad1:

Let me say antibiotics are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really cant believe how much better I feel! The 'bite' still looks awful, maybe worse? And my throat glands are still huge. But, the way I feel compared to yesterday - wow!! Only have a mild sore throat left, that's it. Now, I just have to wait for the bite culture to come back.....wow, there maybe hope for me yet?!;) :thumbsup2 :cool1: :woohoo:

Happy Sat!!!:goodvibes

Hey VA when are you going on a cruise? Details please... :confused3

Sorry I dissapeared there - we were watching my neice tonight and inaction was needed ..... now she's gone and the cubs are finally asleep  .

We have it planned for the end of August, but, honestly, with the economy the way it is we will probably cancel. You can cancel up to 3 months before w/ no penalty...or maybe even longer. So right now we are waiting...but its not looking good so I refuse to get excited.:sad2: Bleh.....

Are you taking a summer vacay?!:) Tell us all the detail if you are!

VA - Sorry about the bite. Hope they get that figured out quick.
I'm feeling good today. I think it was just too much sun. Today the weather is perfect. It's 65 and sunny, with just a mild breeze stirring the leaves that have fallen. Perfect fall weather.
Hope Nick's tummy feels better, T. Did Anthony tell you I IM'ed you?

:lmao: :lmao: She doesn't need to stop by the store, she can get it from work!!!
Happy Birthday, Kristi!!!

Good morning, all!

Allie, great letter for your uncle, I love it!

Ginger, sorry to hear work has been running you ragged! But good news about the office, sounds like its gonna get there, anyway.

Danielle I completely agree with you, I am all for giving all kids the best education possible, but to get it, we should be paying for it.

I am home with Catie today, she woke up running a fever, with a sore throat, and complaining of a stiff sore neck. We have an appointment with her dr in an hour to rule out meningitis, that is just scary enough to not play around with for me. KWIM?
Thank you
Looks good Allie. Don't forget to add that you are available as a personal guide!
Oh I will.

Happy Birthday Kristi!

Dani, I see you are going to the Grand Californian! Woo hoo for you! It's so beautiful there.
