No WONDER it took you so long! How many kitchens did you burn down? 3?
None! I'm actually training my ds to be a good dh! I'm teaching him to cook. I find recipes for him & he's learning to follow them & make more food. This weekend he made homemade macaroni & cheese. I made crab tartlets--mmmmm! Dh had to get in on it he made shake & bake chicken & mashed potatoes-- we had that & veggies for dinner Saturday-mmm. Sunday I taught dh how to make pasta salad. Now that I'm teaching ds to cook, now all of a sudden dh wants to step up his game. I'm not complaining!

uh oh, Martina cut her hair, did she? Meag did that, too, a BIG chunk out of the top, though, we did the combover thing for a few months. I guess she was about 4 at the time. SO glad she got over that, though lately she wants to take a steak knife and slash her clothes, pillowcases, etc... :scared1:
Haircutting must be a right of passage for girls. It must be in the handbook-- "You cannot turn 10 without ever having cut your own hair!" :lmao: How sweet before she wanted to be a hairdresser now she wants to be a rocker! :rotfl:

Really not amusing. Hopefully we have her broke of this now, the last time we caught her with a knife in her room, we took her allowance for 2 months, and we told her that if we had another occurance, we were taking her tv for 6 months.

Well, see, we hid all the scissors on top of the china cupboard, so she can't get to them... however, I can't hide all the kitchen knives anywhere that she can't figure out how to get to them!

Well, you could confuse her and start using scissors to cut your steaks and steak knives to cut paper:lmao:

Which reminds me....my Grandma used to use scissors to cut pizza. :confused3 She'd mark out the pieces with string and cut it with scissors.

Wow at least now you have an explaination for yourself. :teeth:

Sweet who wants him after heather's? :teeth:

Kristi? Rick needs male bonding in the house doesn't he?

:lmao: Ohh...I forgot to mention....We're going to teach him how to shovel and spread mulch while he's here.:upsidedow

That does start to put a lot of things into perspective, doesn't it???:rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

My Grandma always seemed very normal to me. Maybe THAT explains a lot too!:rolleyes1

Yes, that would be lovely! We have been telling her for YEARS that scissors are only for cutting paper THAT SHE HAS PERMISSION TO CUT, cause otherwise she will cut up bills, etc. and that steak knives are for cutting MEAT! But she's ADD, with MAJOR impulse control issues, so sometimes it's safest just to hide stuff that can get her into trouble as much as possible.

He already knows how to do that.. :rolleyes1
Cool! He can make sure my 2 are doing it right while we supervise while doing :laundy: :thumbsup2

LOL!
That's hour our scissors got hidden too. Chris cut up a huge bunch of circulars and part of the newspaper, so as we made him clean them up, we hid all the scissors. Martina had the one pair I couldn't find hidden in her room, and you know the rest of that story.:rolleyes1
