New scrapbook store at WDW????

I was at a new scrap store near us and was told that there will be a new scrapbooking store at WDW. The gal at this shop said it would be at Downtown Disney somewhere. She said it was to open sometime around July 1st. Has anybody gotten wind of this? I wonder if they will have more Disney stuff than the local stores have? I really wish we could get more stickers and die cuts in the Epcot, AK, and MGM themes. All I see out there is MK stuff. If anybody has heard anything or is going to WDW relatively soon, please keep us updated!! Thanks!

I heard that the 2Rs store in Downtown Disney will become the scrapbook store. One of the things they'll supposedly be selling is Mickey ear scissors. I love the idea of a scrapbook store at WDW -- hope it actually happens!!!

With scrapbook supplies being as hot as they are I would think that Disney would want to get in on the band wagon. I have heard tiny rumors that the reason Disney might be pulling their licenses on things is that they are going to launch their own scrapbook line. I think it is really only speculation.

It would be wonderful if they did open a store and Downtown Disney would be the perfect place. I can see die cut of all the rides and little frame ups with park logos on them, also Stickers and die cuts of all the resort logos. WOW!

I picked up a couple of things in the 2-Rs shop when I was there. They did have lots of stickers and things, some I hadn't found anywhere else.

We are going to WDW in Nov also. I hope this is true. I would love to see stickers, die cuts and borders to match of the rides and resorts. If Disney is going to license their own stuff, I hope we will be able to find it at our stores too. I only buy things with my pics with me these days. I have found I save lots of $$$ by buying only what I really need, not what I think I need.

Not going to lose sleep over this, but I hope it works out to my advanage.

OMG!!! And I thought Art of Disney was dangerous for me to go in! If this turns out to be true, somebody better hold me back! I can only imagine the kind of money I would spend if turned loose in a shop like that.

Has anyone seen Mickey sissors? That would be so kewl! I am guessing it would just be the ears? I made a quick stop in my LSS and she had hardly any Disney left last month she had several kits and paper. This time I didn't see any but I didn't ask where it was...I will next time. Maybe she would know something.

Guys, I'm going to Disney World in August. I was there this past May, and I noticed a section of Downtown Disney was under construction. I have heard there will be a pin store, but I don't know what else. I have a friend who might be able to talk to her friends that work at WDW. I will check with her. Otherwise, I will check out the new stores and the 2R's for scrapbook stuff! This will be great! - - By the way, I happened across the Magic Kingdom 12x12 book of paper just yesterday. I thought I had died and gone to heaven!!! Just thought I would share.

I will let you guys know whatever I find out. If you would like me to look for something while I'm down there, please let me know!

I was there in May and the construction was for Al's Toy barn, and a new pin store (build a pin I think). I would love to see a SB store or even just stuff in WOD.

If they do start carrying stuff you should be able to just call WDW merchandising and have them ship it to you, so no need to fear if you don't have a trip coming up soon.

We just returned from a Disney Cruise on Thursday 6/27. We were at Downtown Disney in Art of Disney and the 2Rs store. My wife is a huge scrapbooker and she was looking at the sticker boxes on a shelf (a box of Disney stickers for scrapbooking). A CM was stocking another shelf nearby and my wife happened to ask her why Disney had not opened their own scrapbook store and the CM said that the 2Rs store was in the process of becoming a Disney scrapbooking store. After picking my DW up off of the floor, we learned that they are apparently waiting for additional product to arrive before making the big announcement. Anyone who has visited the store in recent months can see there is a definite difference in the focus of the merchandise. At any rate, the CM indicated that it would be some time in July when the big change takes place.
