New scrapbook store at WDW????

2R's is attached to the Art of Disney.

It's at the far end, kind of towards Rainforest Cafe. I could get there blindfolded, but I'm terrible at directions so I hope that helps.

Hmmmm.... we just bought a new minivan this weekend and we really need to take it on a road trip to test it out. Wonder if I could convince my DH we need to take a quick trip in August to FL?

Grover we haven't made any plans for Nov. It is always one of those dates that we toss around. We went 2 years ago around the 7th of Nov. and loved it but not sure if we can again this year. We really want to see Disney all decorated for Christmas so we have been talking about right after Thanksgiving. We usually always go last week of Feb into March.
So a lot will depend on money and the kids school if we can make two trips down. My mom lives about 2 hours from WDW
Would be neat to have a scrap meet at Disney!

Yes! I have my itinerary set. On Wednesday, November 13th I will be at the DTD scrapbook store! My DH will take the boys and play on the playground and lego section while I leisurely browse. Can't wait!!! Let me know if anyone else will be there then.

Hi Pammy Jo!! We will be at disney the same time Nov 7 to 18!! Maybe we can find a few minutes to meet up! What resort are you staying at? My resorts are listed at the bottom of my post! I will definately be going to this store but probably after the parks close.

Allow me to pick my jaw up off the floor!!!!! It sounds pretty certain that the 2Rs will be the place for the new scrapbook store! Somebody Stop ME!!!! So much for my souvenier money! I will be at WDW and DTD in August! As soon as I come back, I will post any news I have! If the store is to open in July, it should be there when I am! Oh, man, I can't contain my excitement! I still have so long to wait! Oh well. This is great! I can't wait!!!

So I'm already thinking about how I'll get my goodies home. I don't want them messed up in the suitcase. Do you think you can ship them from the store?

Grover, we're staying at the BCV. We're planning on heading to DTD right after the Cape May breakfast buffet, so I'll be there early in the day. I promise to save you some supplies though!

I think they should make it a crafts store, devoted entirely to Disney patterns. Sell cross-stitch kits and stuff.

Although, knowing them, everything would be marked up big time.

Pammy jo, go to Michaels and get a folder to take on your trip. I have several clear envelope-type folders that hold 12 x 12 paper. I've used them at several scrapbook conventions and had no trouble getting home with my goodies in one piece. They are pretty flat, and give a little more stability to your papers.

I have used these too and they worked great. I just went to the Great American Scrapbook Convention in Ft. Worth TX last month. It was great! I didn't get in to the Anna Griffin class, but took a class from the pres. of Scrap in a Snap. (check out their website if you haven't yet-it's so fast and easy to use their stuff! I almost signed up to be a consultant!) Also took a class from Sharon Ann-have you seen her ads in Creative Keepsakes? Her papers are so beautiful, and the stickers are repositionable! Her things will be available in stores in Sept. She is also going to sell on QVC.

I feel like I have died and gone to heaven, first I discover disboards last month, and today find out there's a scrapbook store coming to Downtown Disney!!!! My life will be complete, and my checkbook empty!

That sounds great! This year was my first time and I loved it! I have been scrapping for about 4 years, but I'm just now feeling really comfortable. It takes a while to figure out what your style is and how to have fun without driving yourself crazy.

I always love the shopping! It's so fun to see all the new stock and I come home overflowing with ideas.

I also got a lot out of a class that was taught by one of the staff members from Creating Keepsakes Magazine. It was sewing on paper and exploring Becky Higgins scrapbooking stlye. I hadn't had the nerve to try sewing on my own and I loved the way it looked. Becky Higgins is the guru of scrapbooking in my opinion, so I had a great time.

I have to agree with that 110%!!!! I discovered DISboards about a month ago thanks to a friend of mine. Now, it is ALWAYS my last and favorite stop when I check the internet at night! I love to come and read what everyone has to say!! Plus, I never thought I'd find people who love the same two things that I do: scrapbooking and Disney! I feel, even though I haven't met any of you in person, that I have made many friends on this board! Thanks everyone!
