New ride in Epcot?

I have just read a rumour that a new ride is being planned for Epcot.

The new 'Soarin' attraction is being housed in a building so large that it can be seen from Canada in World Showcase. This spoils the atmosphere.

So what is Disney's answer? Why, build a mountain themed attraction in between 'Soarin' and Canada to enhance the view.
Apparantly it is going to be a raft ride similar to the one in DCA.

Obviously this is just a rumour, but one that I hope will prove to be true.

Kaylee, I think Kevin is refering to the possibiluty of a new attraction in Canada in the World Showcase, not Soarin' in Future World. The new attraction in Canada might be built to hide the very large show building that contains Soarin', which otherwise would be a bit of an eyesore from the World Showcase.

I hope this is true. The Grizzly River Run at Disneyland California is a run river raft ride. Epcot is already my favourite park add Soarin (the best ride ever) and maybe a raft ride and I'd happily spend my whole holiday in Epcot.

Dull.

Hopefully Disney will take some lessons from Universal's Bluto's Bilge Rat Barges (or whatever it's called) if they build a new raft ride in Canada.

In terms of thrills, I think it's one of the best raft rides out there. The theming is pretty good and fits the area well, but I have seen better theming elsewhere.

I know for a fact that they are doing a Soarin' ride in WDW. I haven't heard anything about a new Canadian ride. Soarin is a nice ride, you are supposed to be on an ultra-glider type thing that has you floating over sites in California. The glider dips and turns at times. We did it about 3 times on our trip there. Enjoyable. I'm not sure why they are doing a soarin of California ride at World Showcase, however. Even over Florida would at least make some sense. Over California I don't get. But, it should be fun. The down side is that it will probably cause a lot more traffic jams at that stretch there between Canada and the UK.

Soarin' is not being built in the Canada pavilion, it is being built as part of the The Land pavilion in Future World. This photo shows why there is specualtion about a new attraction in Canada to hide the Soarin' show building:

That's strange, it was working earlier! I'm just not cut out for this technology lark. Anyway, it was just one of the photos from the link that Kaylee posted earlier. It shows the roofline of the Canada pavilion with the Soarin' show building looming above it. Disney being very particular about their sight lines would understandably want to disguise this.

Ahhhhh...I think you have to be a subscriber to WDW Magic to see the pics. For ages I couldn't work out why I had a problem with the website and then decided to look into it a bit further.
