Well we just got back from two weeks with Mickey and again signed up for DVC at Saratogo springs. This time when we got home there was no $14,000 expense awaiting us - last year our heating and airconditioning units quit on the day we got home and we had to cancel our DVC that we signed up for on our Disney cruise. Now I am already planning our first trip and know I will have lots of questions. DW wants to try Hilton Head first, any suggestions/experiences for Hilton Head in June (looking at June 2006)?

My understanding is that HH books up very quickly for the summer. So the first thing is to get your dates lined up and figure out when the 7 month window is for your trip. Then call at the 7 month window to enhance your chances to get a reservation, or to get high on the waiting list.

We went to HHI this June for the first time and loved it. Can't wait to go back. We went the first week in June so it wasn't crowded because the kids up north were still in school. I booked a studio at 7 months and had no problem.

Thank you all for the congrats. I can't wait to use my first set of points on HH. Unfortunately we have to wait until June as DD and now DS will not be done with school until June 9, 2006 and DW does not want to pull them out of school. Anyway, we are all really excited about becoming members and even DW can't wait until our next vacation now. By the way, anyone have any more details on the resort at HH?

We stayed at HHI in June in a 2BR. I booked it at the 7 month window for 6/25/ - 7/2. A couple of the nights were waitlisted, but they came thru!

We had a great time, although our kids were a little too bored. They are used to high energy, WDW screaming theme park vacations and found that relaxing was not their cup of tea. (kids are 16 -23)

DH & I loved the resort and REALLY wished we had bought sooner so that we could have gone there when our kids were younger. The little kids (not ours) had a ball with all sorts of cute things to do. On Star Spangled Tuesday night there was a pool party with all sorts of music, the kids were dancing and so were we!
