New pirate makeover experience!

The cost of the bandana is not configured in the cost of the package with the costume because all of the costumes come with hats.

even the girls pirate dress?
is there anything else you don't get if you get the costume package?

I only ask because I have one child that is bringing costume from home and one that is buying it there. There are preschoolers so if one gets something the other doesn\t there could be a full out pirate battepirate:

The biggest difference between the packages...

With costume: 3 photos (instead of one) and obviously the costume

Without costume: Bandana (can be added to costume package for $10)

The girls costume can now be booked as apart of a cheaper version of the Captain's package - this is a fairly recent change.

This may have already been asked but if so I missed it. DS (10) really wants to do this, but he does not want to do it alone. Him being an only child, that leaves Dad or I. My question is if one of us were to do this with him could our pictures be taken together? I really have no use for DH or I picture as a pirate unless DS was also in the picture.

I love this whole concept and the review look amazing. I am so glad Disney is doing this.

I'll double check with DPI on Tuesday - but if I recall, they said the pose was designed for just one person.

They have a box for the wee pirates to stand on so they are in the lighting correctly. And I know they were allowing adults to hold their child for their picture.

If your DS is tall enough, I think two would be fine, the problem is if he is too short (since there is not room for him to stand on the box with someone else in the picture).

I'll ask on Tuesday.

Thanks, he is pretty tall so should not be a problem. I think he is about 4'11.
One other question if we had a 6:30 appointment we should be okay to make it to an 8:30 pm ADR at either Poly or Contemporary right?

What is the price now for the girls package and what is all included? I was planning on bringing my own custom outfit for DD, but may consider this. Also, what is the biggest size it comes in? What does the girl hat look like?

My DD8 would love to do this when we go in October! I haven't read through all of the pages so if I missed this information I appologize but when I call to make an appointment can I call at the 90 +10 like I can for my dining ADR's or do I have to do it at exactly 90 days?

Love all the pics by the way!

Thanks!

Hey Pirate Brenna!

Thanks for all the info that you have provided us. I am so excited for my appointment in August. I was just wondering if I can use my Birthday Fun card against the cost of the induction?

Thanks!

Pirate Hopeful Angie

Can anyone tell me if I can purchase the Pirate Princess Do-rag and eye patch? DDs have the BBB scheduled for this trip, and we are going on DCL at a later date and will of course have the pirate night. Both DDs would love to have those for the cruise. Thanks!!!

That should be fine! Just make sure you mention it when you arrive in case we're running late.

They do not have a published price, it depends on which costume is purchased (pirate shirt, buccaneer, maiden). Most run just under the Captain's package - $120-130 ish. The buccaneer and maiden XL is 14-16... the Pirate shirt comes in adult sizes up to XL. I'm afraid I could not fine a photo with the hats, but they are designed to match the corresponding costume.

90+10 if you're staying on property, 90 otherwise.

The bandana and eye patch (with earring) are sold in the Pirates Bizarre, which is the shop you exit through from the attraction.

I have a question....

My 5 year old daughter is mostly a tomboy with a small streak of girly-girl in her LOL. She loves the look of the makeover with the scar and the dark ring around the eyes....however, since she's a girl, she does not want the beard. Can anything be done in place of that? Or to accomodate that request? Maybe some lipstick? Or something else?

We can do the look without the beard, but nothing would be added in it's place. If you look at this photo - the second person on the left (wearing the Buccaneer costume) is a girl!

Brenna...

I looked back a few pages and couldn't find the answer. I believe I read somewhere 3 and up for this. Is that true and is there reason behind it?? I have an 8 year old and a 2 year old, that will be 2 months shy of 3 when we go. I'm afraid the 2 year old will get upset if he doesn't get to do this w/his brother... He likes to do everything his brother does!

DS and DH are scheduled for Friday 8/7 at 6pm. Thanks for your help Brenna! I will still be checking back to see if you get the answer to taking their picture together once you go back to work.

I hope we get to see you when we are there!

So I had lunch with someone pretty high up on the food chain today whose recent projects included the Pirates League (which I gushed over for him, and he also happened to mention how thrilled he is with the cast members working there and how they completely make the experience) and I happened to ask about hidden mickeys and he told me other than the one I knew about, there's supposed to be a really cool one on the pirate portraits. he wasn't sure if it made it in, but he said that was the only one he would approve of.

(he also refused to call Mickey a bilge rat)

so can a guy get some validation on that?
