New pirate makeover experience!

I have a quick question..

I booked appointments for my hubby and my 2 kids. I booked First Mate packages for my hubby and son, and daughter was supposed to have Empress..the Cm told me that you guys do not paint nails, she didn't know what I was talking about...anyhoo..long story short I think she booked my daughter for the Frist Mate package as well. Can I change this when we get there or do I need to do something now? She's pretty girlie so I am certain she;s going to want the make up and glitter!

I happened to ask about hidden mickeys and he told me other than the one I knew about, there's supposed to be a really cool one on the pirate portraits.

Any chance you met with Alex? I'm not familiar with one in a portrait, but our main hidden mickey is in the Sacred Sanctorum on the globe. The gunner or bos'n can point it out if you ask. I always point it out to the pirates I take through the room.

Yes, you can change it when you arrive... to be honest, we do not even look up what your preordered before you arrive (it pops up on our print out, that's it); we'll discuss all the packages with you when you check in at the Quartermaster's desk. And I promise, we do paint nails with the Empress package, I'm sorry you had a misinformed CM.

Can anyone tell me if it possible to get the bandannas embroidered with the pirate names? I wasn't sure if one of the stores that embroiders ears could do it. (And would it even show up on the bandanna?)

Not a problem, I just wanted to make sure..my daughter would be a little mad if instead of glitter eyeshshadow she got a beard!! I figured that I just had a CM that wasn't in the loop...

yes, Alex. he wasn't sure the portrait one made it in, but he didn't say anything about the globe (other than the team fabricated it themselves because they couldn't find one large enough in the real world). but thanks for that. it was one of my last minute questions after you had gone.

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I have this booked for my 4yr old son for Sept. 11. I'm concerned about the costumes being too hot for this time of year. I called and the CM told me that the costumes are the same year round. Just curiuos if the costumes sre going to be too hot for Sept. Thanks so much! April

DS8 and DD5 are doing pirate league the same day we have tickets for MNSSHP. they each have their own pirate costume. DD wanted hers to be black/red to match her brother, instead of the pink pirate costume. I saw in the pictures posted earlier the pink bandana and it has a "pirate princess" patch on it. Does the red/black bandana also say "pirate princess"?

That is good to know! I just booked the first mate and empress packages for Sept 4 before MNSSHP, and already I think I'd like to add the costumes! I won't need to call back then? I can just tell them when we check in?

I am so freaking excited!!! This is a surprise for the kids (the pirates league and the MNSSHP)

grace&philipsmom - we were in the chair with nails painted whe we decided to add the costume. I think they should be fine as long as you are adding items.

starstruck93 - My daughter was in her costume all day long and we had to peel it off her body because she didnt want to take it off. Later in the day she did take off the bandana so your son may lose the hat, but should be okay otherwise.

I apologize if I missed it... but does anyone have a photo of the makeup and nail polish that comes with the Empress package -- not a girl with the makup on, but the actual makeup itself? I thought I read that the girls get to keep it along with a little bag to put it in, kind of like BBB. Is that correct? TIA

We were concerned that the costume might be too heavy for Connor (that's him in Kathy's Blog) but he seemed fine with it. He kept it on all day and never complained.

The patch does not go with the bandana... you can choose a pink or black eye patch independent of the bandana. The black eye patch does not say princess on it.

A child's XL is 14-16.

I chatted with Alex today, the portrait one does not currently exist, but it is in creation.

I will still be checking back to see if you get the answer to taking their picture together once you go back to work.

She did confirm that the lighting is designed for only one person in the photo, but you could request that for your DH photo the two be pictured together. She said she would specifically allow it, but each gunner is different. My assumption is you'll probably get someone who will think it's fine and do the double shot for DH and single for DS. I just can't say yes for sure in case you get the one who says no.

Hi Brenna. Just wondering if you could answer a question for me please??

We're going next year with our three boys and I know they will love this. My DS3 will only just have turned two so I realise he can't be made up but because he'll be there with us when the older boys are going through the experience will he be allowed to go into the 'special room' with the older boys?? Does the whole family get to go through it??

If we were to have him in costume already then he probably wouldn't even realise that he was missing out on anything if he got to go through the 'special room' too.

They will get to keep the lipstick and nail polish only, as the rest of the makeup is theater quality makeup that is sanitized and reused.
