Just getting ready to purchase a DVC contract on the secondary market and I have a few questions for the veterans.

1. The times when we decide to "rent" our points, do we typically just hand the room reservation or is it common to handle park tickets, transportation etc. for the person renting our points.

2. What is the most common way to handle the money transfer for points rental? Paypal, Money Order etc.? Do you require 50% up front 100%? What is the best way to handle that transaction in general?

Any details regarding renting your points you wish you had known in advance? Thanks.
 
Personally, we prefer to use David's if we need to rent our points. Less risk, less worry and less hassle.

If you decide to rent out your own points you will need to handle any ME reservations and add the dining plan if they want it. It will be up to you to collect the money for the dining plan in advance, because payment is due at the time you add it to the reservation. You do not need to handle park tickets.

We rented twice before purchasing DVC and both times we paid by paypal, with 50% up front and 50% due when we received the confirmation number from the member. One person had a contract that we signed and the other did not.
