Just got internet back a little bit ago. it was out for over 24 hrs!!! I guess from the snowstorm. only about 4" of heavy wet snow, but a little higher elev. from here got about 3 feet, so i heard!! first thing i did was check the weather for next week!! haha. of course i was texting my sister and asking her last night. i cant help it!
Moopdog-i think we're gonna book DC for next Friday now. i've waited long enough! as long as it's sunny we'll be fine. maybe we'll see you there!!

5 1/2 days for us!!!!! after a year of planning, i can say "I'll be there on Sunday!!"

Well we are: me 5'2" 38 and somewhat blondeish hair (ok its more brown lately). DH43 6'2" with what's left of his hair being short and brown. DS12, 5'5" thin and dirty blonde hair. DD10 is 5'5", very thin and also has blonde hair. That's us! And if you think you can just ask if I'm Moopdog! My whole family uses the name as a nickname. Weird I know.

We have 12 days to go and everyone in this house except me is sick with some crud that's going around. I know that's plenty of time for them to recover. The part I'm worried about is the fact I don't have it...yet. I know it sounds crazy to say this but if I'm going to get this crud I wish I would just go ahead and get it so I have plenty of time to recover. I purchased some Zicam today just in case. LOL! Already taking vitamins.

I got some much needed vacation shopping done today. I've recently lost weight so I needed clothes for the trip. Got all the shirts I need today and a few other items. I can't find a swimsuit I like so that's a problem. I've been buying the kids Disney shirts a little at a time as I see them on sale so they are set. I'm waiting to see how the weather is looking before I go out and get more capris or shorts. I have just 1 more day off which is next Tuesday before our trip. Yep working 11 days out of the next 12 days I have left before our trip. That is going to be one crazy busy day off.

LOL, well I guarantee you that if you seriously do that, one of my family members' ears will perk up! BTW, congrats in the bikini at 40. I, however I my heaviest weight ever (aside from pregnant). I plan to take care of that AFTER the trip. I honestly feel like there's something medically going on, but it could just be the age/metabolism hell.

Just to clarify, with photopass+, you will receive a cd of Disney stock photos, ride photos (as many times as you want), meal pics that are generally an additional fee AND all the photopass pics that the regular Disney photogs take all over the parks including characters.

I did this last time and we had a blast. Went several times on Dinosaur just to make different expressions. It was great. (well, maybe not for other folk in our car). Waited until we got home to doctor up the photos on the website. Definitely got our money worth!

This year, we have several family groups running around and we are purchasing just one plus card, but everyone will have a regular non-paid for photopass card to collect pics at the parks. Then I am collecting all the cards and grouping them on the plus card before coming home.

If you choose to do this, remember that the original plus card must be present for ride and meal pics.

I was thinking of doing something similar with my mom who is traveling down a few days after us with her three sisters. I was originally only going to purchase the regular photopass CD but now I am second guessing myself. Know that I know I can call (I'm within the 14 day window) and still purchase the pp+ I'm thinking it might be worth it.

Is there a list of the participating attractions and dining locations that would be on the pp+ card? My daughter is going to BBB for the first time. Is that something I would only be able to get with the pp+? I find this all so confusing! Oh, and also, if I do go ahead with the pp+ and my mom and her sisters get some photos done when they are touring on their own, do I have to add them to our "cd" while in WDW or if I have the numbers can I do that when I get home?

Does this rambling even make sense?! AH. We're only a few days from departure and I think I'm loosing it!

So.... the ride Dinosaur.... scary? Is there a photo during the ride? The look on my 5 year olds face of sheer terror might be worth it (I'm not a terrible parent, I swear!).

Update on my photopass situation! I posted to the main board too, but it gets buried fast lol. Anyways I called the photopass #, told them I had regular PP, wanted to upgrade to PP+ but didn't have 2 weeks lead time. She asked if I had booked my trip through Disney and I said yes. She told me to call the reservation line and have it added to my package, and then she refunded my regular PP. She was right, I called the line and you can add Photopass+ at the pre-order discount to your package up to 2 days before you leave and get the voucher when you check in! I just gave her a credit card for the difference. So if you're less than 2 weeks out and need to order it (and you booked your vacation through Disney) then there is still hope. From everything I had read I thought I was SOL.

That's awesome! Make sure to use the heck out of it and get tons of ride photos for all the stress it caused!

Yes, if you are visiting the Walt Disney World Resort and have pre-purchased the Walt Disney World PhotoCD you may upgrade your PhotoCD to the Disney PhotoPass+ Pre Arrival offer by contacting our Guest Support team at 407-560-4300 or visiting the Contact Us section of our website. You will need the name, phone number, and email address that was used to purchase the PhotoCD.

Q. I have a large family—how many Disney PhotoPass+ cards will I receive?

R. Only one Disney PhotoPass+ card will be provided with each purchase. However, multiple PhotoPass cards can be accumulated during your visit, and all of those photos can be added to your account. In order to receive your Attraction and Dining photos, the PhotoPass+ card holder must be present at the time of photo capture.

Keep in mind that photos are available in our system for only 48 hours after capture; make sure you visit the Attraction to claim your photo within that time period.

Q. What if I go on an Attraction multiple times, will I receive an image each time I ride or is there a limit?

R. You can collect as many Attraction photos as you like. If you ride Space Mountain 10 times then you will show your Disney PhotoPass+ card at the Attraction’s photo center and they will scan the image each time you ride – you would then have a total of 10 Space Mountain images!

So excited for everyone- including our family. It is crazy weather here in Chicago. It is 59 degrees right now, only 4 degrees cooler than in Orlando right now. It feels great. After a record high today, which we have already hit, it will plummet to a high of 18 degrees by Thursday. But it looks like the weather for next week in Orlando is looking better and better.
