I was looking at the WDW menus this morning and thought this was pretty funny. La Cantina de San Angel

Empanadas de Queso - Fried corn masa filled with chihuahua cheese topped with green sauce, served with corn tortilla chips.

I did a double take and had to look it up just to see what chihuahua cheese is.

I know chihuahua is an area in Mexico but I'll have to look up the cheese, too. I did the sand double take though!

So we have booked a MYW package through our TA, ME tags were received but nothing else.

I contacted my TA about the vouchers - I know they aren't a huge deal and we'll probably only use the Planet Hollywood one and possibly a few arcade credits - but she says they don't come from her and we'll get them when we check in.

Does this sound right?

Normally no - Disney would send your stuff to the TA and they would forward it on to you.

HOWEVER, are you within 14 days of arrival? If you are Disney will have your packet waiting at check in. They wouldn't have time to send it and make sure that you get it but I believe they express mail out the DME stuff before the 5 day marker.

Actually the half is on Sunday the 24th. I think some of your dates are confused.

I would agree about the parks. At DL the morning of Tink, DL was EMPTY. It was fantastic.

Whoops.. you're right. The half is on the Sunday. The crowd calendar numbers for the Saturday reflect the end of Presidents week travellers and there are some pre race events.
In any event, the race itself had no impact on the parks but the end of Presidents week will. That's why we're seeing such dramatic number drops on the Sunday and days following. I have faith it will be a nice time to be there

We are there for 9 days... so 9 short sleeve shirts, 5 long sleeve, 3 outwear (jackets/hoodies/sweat jackets). I don't wear shorts, but I packed two pairs for my husband. I am bringing the bathing suits just in case. We will have our winter coats anyway because it's so cold here and I can't be outside at 5am without a coat here. I figured though we can layer and I have enough of options that even if it were cold every day I can wear some long sleeve shirts twice.

We're coming from the Great White North so I will be in jeans and t-shirts all week, I'll have a hoodie with me because of getting from the car into the airport. The boys will have jeans, shorts, long & short sleeved t-shirts and my fiancé will be in shorts all week.
We're bringing our swim stuff too, and rain jackets

I feel a little bit better about the weather so I'll do my last batch of laundry tomorrow and begin packing. My husband and daughter can pull out anything to pack and it fits. Me, I tend to wear the same three pants that I know fit and are comfortable.

We've never been in February before, so was a bit worried about the weather. But we now have snow here in the UK, so its going to be warmer there what ever the weather

But will bring a mixture of clothes including a fleece for the evenings.

5 days left until we leave!! Where did all the time go?!? I have so much to do, and so little time to do it in! I still have to pack, do last minute shopping, and get the van packed up! I better get a move on! Have a wonderful weekend Dis'ers!!

ONLY 9 MORE DAYS!!!! I love the days leading up to our trip, the anticipation is almost as fun as the trip its self. The hard part is trying not to think about it being over.

I always feel exactly like all of you. The time goes so sloooowwww until those last few days and then it's a mad rush to get everything done in time!
I do as much as I can beforehand but let's face it, leaving your job, pets and household always leaves last minute chores and worries. The good news is once you check in its nothing but fun!!

Because we've had two trips with that ended up with hospital stays and a trip to the clinic (my son and appendicitis and both kids needed antibiotics on different trips) I will do my regular PSA and remind you all now to pack meds and first aid supplies and if you are Canadian PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure you have adequate out of country medical insurance. There was no better feeling than getting tens of thousands of dollars of bills marked PAID when it was all said and done. It could have been financially devastating for us had we not had insurance.

Not to bring anyone down at all.. I just like to throw that reminder into theses threads so nobody finds themselves in trouble if someone gets sick.

Soooo super jealous of all of you leaving soon, but soooo super excited to FINALLY be under 30 days!!! Maybe I should join the March thread to, that will make me feel better! Ha (my trip ends March 2!). EVIL.

i got my insurance about a week ago! with PC. it was surprisingly cheap. my dad gets it every year when he goes to mexico and has never had any issues so i figured PC would be a good one to go with!!! here's hoping i don't have to use it!!

PS .... IN EXACTLY ONE WEEK I WILL BE IN DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!! AHHHHHH OMG. i can't breathe lol. seriously my days are actually DRAGGING by. i am unemployed currently (IT'S AWFUL) so i have nothing to do. my boyfriend is at school all day (studying law, let's hope he can get a good job and help me out a little LOL) and all my friends have good full time jobs, so i am by myself all day just struggling to make the hours pass. so far i've got all my clothes ready, bought some last minute travel items, made my packing list, purchased insurance, checked the weather (10x daily), done laundry, cleaned all the bathrooms, vacuumed, dusted, slept in, gone for walks, and sat around reading the DIS. what the heck else can i do with the next 7 days????
